If you want to watch the other episodes
Personally, as a programmer and a person that always wanted to start a project like this and have my own app published, this is the kind of video and series that I would really like to watch. I totally think that this series could be amazing! And about the app, I would love to use it, because as you said there are no apps like this in the market so it will really nice to use this one in the future ;) Thanks a lot one more time for the motivation and I'm looking forward to watch the rest of the series and to use the app of course!

It's nice to see this series come back. I always enjoy watching other programmers code their own projects, it gives a strange satisfaction :)
and see going through bugs. It feels like you are not alone.
Check "Randy, the sequel". He posts daily videos about his in-progress game engine, you might like it.

@@darksoldierjack Thanks :)
Yeah
Just want to say thank you all for the positive response to this video! I was not expecting that at all, I felt like I didn’t get much done on the app in the video and overall just felt like this might not be that interesting. So it really means a lot to read all of your positive comments!
I will definitely make this a series now :)
First reply!!
Hey, I am gonna get this shake and the battle that you sponsored, I have never done this since I don't work, but I just want to support because you motivated me every time I watch your vid! Love your amazing quality vid btw!
Which part of the uk do you live in?
I want this app as well
Hey bro can u make tutorial on python please I am 14 years old from india
Kalle is the only youtuber I know that gives a cinematic view of him wiping up water.
Imagine kalle already woke up and set up the camera, and then went to bed and acting like waking up 😂
These videos actually make us realise that building an app is a slow iterative process of learning , implementing and debugging and not a one day build that generates money in crypto. Those are super cool in their way but more serious projects are better off this way as we are basically feeling you through the process and are ready for it if we try the same.
Thanks for your time watching and commenting on feedback.

I absolutely want this to be a series! As a new programmer, I'd be interested in how you approach roadblocks. Why did you choose Flutter? How your current workout routine would be utilized within it?
Please make a playlist for this!
I think just seeing the process of you building the app with a face cam is a nice touch to the vlog. Especially with you talking about errors you encountered during development
Definitely want to see videos like this, Kalle.
Too many programmers on RUclips edit out the difficulties in these types of projects to make themselves seem "smarter" than they actually are.
The way you showed it here in this video not only shows your processes, but you show the reality of what it takes - patience, planning, taking breaks, being human.
Also, I like your app idea - I too have been unimpressed with the amount of fitness apps out there that cost too much and don't let you customize your workouts.
Good luck!
Hi Kalle! Just i want to thank you for all these videos that you've done sharing your daily work and life. Personally these style of videos are very motivational. Also everything in your videos are so relaxing... the music, lights, landscapes, etc. Thank you again for all your great work!
This has become my favorite content to watch at youtube, keep up with the good work Kalle :)
Love theses startup vlogs!! You have the entrepreneur blood in your veins man! 🙌🩸
seeing you actually code, and go through functions, problems, errors that kinda stuff is really cool and strangely very satisfying :)
You should include a percentage calculator for people who need to train at a percentage of a one rep max. For example - 2 reps at 90% of 1 rep max deadlift. Also, a simple comments or notes section for each session where the user can input text about the specific workout as a whole
i am happy that you are back uploading videos 😀
Seriously here for this type of content! It helps me crack back on with my own projects with realistic timing expectations!
Questions can come in ⬆️...
This kind of video, that's have a mixture of vlog and programming, is really awesome. Please, continue this series!
This is literally my fav coding youtuber. You’re really good at what you do and you’re really good at filmmaking
This is cool ! I'm looking forward to the startup journey Kalle!

I enjoy watching people code their projects. Nice work Kalle
I love videos like that, because it motivates me to programm programms which I always wanted to programm.
I actually almost started a project a lot like this about 6 months ago. I found an app that was good enough that I've been using. Excited to see how this turns out
I'm also finally creating a good idea I've been pitching for years, also related to sports (which I love). So proud seeing you starting this! Don't worry about progress, just keep the pace of it.

It would be so awesome if you livestreamed your coding sessions now & then here on RUclips. I think a lot of people would tune in, watch and learn a lot along the way! :)
Awesome Kalle!! Keep up the good work! loving this channel
I like these kind of coding videos where you demonstrate something that you want to do and how it was implemented. And yes, Flutter is something that I'm also interested in. Keep on vlogging
Hey Kalle... A video on making that custom UI with animated transitions between login and sign up would be great. Doing a not-a-billion-dollar-app-idea startup is the way to go! Because no one ever made a billion dollars by doing that :D
Good job Kalle, I love this type of series
I would totally watch a full series of Kalle building his startup, I have this goal of one day in the future building my own, so this would be great to watch, definitely looking forward to this series!
This man wayy stronger then i thought he was, That pull up was like very impressive my guy.
Great video, I've been watching your content for the last few years and you've just peaked my interest again. Can't wait for the next one!

I feel your pain, been looking for something similar for ages. I will be getting your app. As long as it is not priced outrageously. Go Strong!
after a long i opened youtube and suddenly saw your video at top loved it and it maked my dayyy
Believe it or not this kinda thing got me into programming. I basically wanted a workout tracker. So I coded one for my final project at uni but I never finished it.
I used Java and Firebase at the time.
Your video reminded me of how I enjoyed coding back in a day. Now when I do it for living I just don’t get that excitement anymore.
Good luck with your project! Looking forward to updates
I liked that one a lot .. and so exited to see how would it go with the back-end part 🔥
Absolutely love this series, can’t wait to see more of it!!!

Hey, Kalle! Great to see you making project videos again. Please continue this series. :D
"I actually learned programming in order to build on that idea". Lots of programmers in this boat.
I love this kind of video. Keep it up Kalle
Love these kinds of videos. Please keep this up!
Looking forward to following your progress on developing the app. 👍
We need more of this, "building a tech startup" !
keep it up bro i love your videos and you have inspired me a lot
I like how you don't know everything, and are not shy to tell.
Should be a very interesting series. Glad you brought it back :)
This motivates me to get back to work on my pile of Unfinished Projects ...
I really like this video, good on you, it especially like how you went by your thought process, definitely would love to see more videos like it, all the best with your startup 😊
I'd like to see a semi-animated roadmap, that way we know what we're looking forward to, and what's in the works currently.
It'd also help for when this series is completed, that way if I wanted to see how you did your FireBase implementation, I know how many videos ago that was.
Thanks for the video! I miss the project videos. They get me pumped to work on my unfinished projects
Keep up the good work - you can make it
Rlly enjoyed the video Kalle, great fitness montage with those weighted pull-ups :D
You give me so much motivation do work hard
All startups that never start, fail. So you just took a big step in avoiding that! Now keep it up. Remember, be confident. Hesitation is a startups worst enemy. They get nervous, can’t get a grasp on what’s going on and what to do next, and either shut down and stop working, or they make a bad decision. Good work!
A startup can't fail unless it's started other wise it's just a dream
More of these videos Kalle! I really love it! gl with the start up

Funny, one of the reasons I wanted to get into coding was to build an exercise log app because none of the ones I could find do exactly what I want. It sounds like we're in the same boat because what you described is the same feelings I have. So if/when this app is done, I definitely want to use it!
All the best man
Please continue this series
Man I started creating a workout/program/diet tracking app last summer but I let life get in the way and didn't get around to getting it ready for release. Agreed with what you said fully about the competition being weak and making it for a market of one. Excited to see how it goes for you, I'm gunna get working on finishing mine up again too, maybe one day we'll end up competing against each other a little to get people healthier! Best of luck!

gl mate! I'll for sure use your app
Keep it up with this video series!
I really recommend not wasting time at the Start with small ui extras. Just from experience I more likely stoped working at a project, if I had no real roadmap and spend way too much time at some animation or something like that, even if it very fun to work on. Great Video as always good luck 🙂
Love this style of video! Keep up
Watching this video made me feel better, I thought I am the only developer who faces these challenges. I am currently working on a flutter app, still working on the UI anyway, and planning to code the backend in PHP with a MySQL database.
As a developer myself, I would say you are onto an amazing path. I think mostly every developer would've at least once thought of building their own startup. Seeing your videos is truly an inspiration for me to start something of my own as well. Also you have a decent enough market for your app here in India, so you're getting into a market way larger than 1. Also, if you need help or collaboration into building this app in Flutter, using Bloc and stuff, I'll be glad to help you out.
best of luck, I really hope you complete it this time and I am sure that your market is at least for 2 ( count me in).
I liked the video and found it motivating to compel me to start my app as well (it's about an ott platform)
I liked it more, I feel more connected this way. love to see more videos like these.
I will enjoy this journey of yours! As it's dream of many people to build an app.
Those were the cleanest pull ups i have ever seen
I know, right? If only the video quality was a bit better on that shot.
Right?
He should a day in gym video lmao
I love the video ❤️❤️❤️❤️ keep making more such videos
I loved this
Ngl. You are one extremely beautiful human being. Coming from the bottom of my heart man.
would love to see a series discussing the ui development and some problems you face in this project
Hey, Halle, this would be really useful for me as well. Nice idea!
i will definitely use your app

I just saw your Fiverr videos cause I just discovered your channel through then, so seeing this series will be very interesting!

Great project idea!
there are indeed no good workout trackers. I would love to see that u can also track RIPs and Meso/Macro-Cicles
really exited for your app
If your aren't in a hurry I'd suggest first picking an architecture to follow. This will make your project easily testable an scalable. I'd suggest something like separating the application into layers. The UI layer, a logic layer and a state layer at the minimum. These can be further broken down with something like "Domain Driven Dev". For state management Bloc is very good but I'd suggest also looking at the riverpod or provider packages too.
I am a freelance developer atm. Focused on writing really good code, because in my experience so far (which isn't much) I've realized there is a difference between writing code and writing good code, although your app may run in both cases. Good luck with the project! I will definitely follow the series
Thank you! Keep it coming.

@Kalle Hallden Great! Waiting for the next video. And would like more dart and flutter videos.
Showing the architecture and showing the deployment would be great, It was few things I was struggle when creating an app
I fully agree with you! Architecture is a bitch, especially when trying to do specific things. EG Idea first, architecture later. Im studying in a field adjacent to computer science and no one has ever taught us what deployment actually is and how it works and what al the steps are.
@@xRioHD I am currently doing my last year in Computer Science degree and they never teach use about deployment. They were teaching us about development and what to use, what are the principles but never thought us about heroku, CI/CD at most they thought as was how to create a digital ocean sever for remote file system and database.
