Far Cry 6 is some of the most fun I've had with this series in nearly a decade. Its cast delivers strong performances across an enjoyable story, even if it's also a fairly predictable one that doesn't always land the bigger swings it tries to take. And despite some faltering new inventory mechanics and a handful of bizarre design choices, its creative weaponry and more diverse crew of enemy types means capturing an outpost, ransacking a convoy, or even just taking a ride with a buddy has never felt better.

IGN should have a definitive and solid ranking system by now that allows for more objective review scores rather than relying on individual reviewer's emotions to dictate the review score.

Far Cry 2 will probably always be my favourite. It was a pretty bare story, but in terms of atmosphere it beats, in my opinion, all the others hands down.
FC2 gave you an atmosphere where you felt lost in a foreign country and were truly a mercenary.
Nah far cry 3 is the greatest far cry game ever and is far superior to far cry 2.

It has a little something for first time players.
Just started playing and I’m enjoying it a lot although it feels like there is a lot less to do in the world compared to recent entries. Maybe it opens up more but aside from that, the gunplay and missions have been excellent.

There are a TON OF GUNS in Far Cry 5 that are only accessible with the Resistance mod. It makes me wonder if Ubi had planned to put up paywalls for those guns but scrapped it at the last minute due to fan backlash over AssCred Oddity’s abuse of weapons resources and unlockables being behind paywalls.
For anyone playing on Series X there's a glitch if you turn on the no stick press option, when crouching it takes far to long to stand up and down and once crouched you keep swinging your machete. It's likely the same on all platforms.

the way he reviewed it gave me the impression that it was worthy of a 9/10 or even a 10. this game seems filled with content and it can all be done in co-op. you can almost say this is the real far cry sequel we need.

My biggest gripe with this game would have to be the suppressors, why choose far cry 6 of all the games to make them overheat??

Ehh, it's not perfect but it's very enjoyable. Reviewer said it was the most fun with a Far Cry game in a decade. Seems pretty 8 out of 10 to me. But numbers are just numbers and literally have no bearing on how the game will be to you as a player.

Why is nobody talking about the accessibility options in this game? They go above and beyond and this is the 7th review i've seen and none of them mention it.
It's such an American thing to praise the diversity and cultural representation in a game then chastise the game based on an American social value.

That chicken fighting actually looks fun and had some quality put into it. Might have bumped it up on the Far Cry scale. Finally something bold and unique. Also much like everyone else commenting, it is weird that it got pointed out as something bad, but I'm sure no one will mention GTA hookers, Mortal Kombat itself, or the constant animal skinning in open world games.

Talking about social responsibility - hypocrisy and relativism is the scourge of modern society.
Love this game. At the moment my favourite main gun is the RMS-18. An almost full automatic shotgun. Also known as the Com.Pew.Ter or the Heavy Metal.
That one is a blast (pun intended) to use with explosive rounds.

Cockfighting in this game is fun, nothing wrong with it. They are not real chickens after all. Most people should be able to tell the difference. Real cockfighting bad. Far Cry cockfighting, no big deal man.
It doesn’t matter how many differences in power level or weaknesses the enemies have. They all die instantly to headshots from Armor piercing rounds

this is my first farcry game i’ve ever had/played. Been and AWESOME experience so far and really great mechanics, super easy to jump into and loving the atmosphere. can’t wait to finish it🤘

Have you even watched the last reviews from IGN? How many got an 8 and how many didn't?
1. Games for the most part only get reviewed when they are between the score of 6-10. 8 is right in the middle.
2. AAA developers will aim their review target to 7-9. Again 8 is in the middle.
Considering this you would expect the high point of the distribution curve of scores to be at around 8. Nothing surprising.
Whereas every game deserves a 10 (according to the youtube comments section)
Ubi literally have a formula where their games are made to be no less no greater than an 8 in order to maintain pumping out games, it's only now the formula is getting very old

The cut scene framerate is a bug with the game, the gameplay is solid and even runs at a higher resolution than the ps5.

Because you can still get burnout when you play games at breakneck speeds just so you can write a review on time. Sure this triple A game is fantastic but in the end, it just becomes part of the grind.

Best of the series so far in my opinion even if everything isn’t perfect which nothing ever is but I’m still enjoying the hell out of this game and played it for so many hours since it released last week and I’m still nowhere even close to finished completing my first play through.
That's my take. Lot of reviews seem to forget rating it based on how fun the game is. They could have done more with the map and missions but bottom line is the game is a lot of fun.
