In regards to the "Native American cry", as long as they're not purposely insulting Native Americans or other people groups, they can do whatever they want. I took it as the girls just having fun.
The "native american calls" you guys were talking about are called ululations and they're also used in other cultures like Arabian and Eastern African as a sign to show excitement at weddings and celebrations. But i'm not sure if that was what they were going for or anything
Your reaction was amazing haha. And Lisa is my bias :P Just your bit on the Native American 'war cry' (I'm Aussie so don't quote me on this), I'm pretty sure that it's actually a stereotypical sound that Hollywood came up with. But I suppose it's true that it is appropriation of a known sound (tbh I had the same hesitation when I heard it).
+Rookk ahhh! Thats interesting actually. We may have to look more into it as well, but we do know that it is a sensitive topic 😁 and thank you! Glad you liked the video
"Your hair will get a lot of dirt on it."-Carlo, 2016 LMAO My thoughts exactly! Hair is the #1 priority! lol I love you both~ I've subscribed and can't wait for your future reaction vids! P.S. I FVCKING LOVE LOVE LOVE LISA TOO P.P.S. You guys look dope~ Fashion & make-up related vids once in a while would be amazing!
Check the MV again - they also do a native american "war dance" bit, too. Honestly, I cringe more at the "oppa!" bit. Overall, I really love this song. It's already on my regular play list.
Actually, its also an African chant for like weddings/romantic situations. I'm not entirely sure if that's what they were going with in regards to the title of the song but KPOP does definitely culture appropriate.
Thanks for your reaction video... very entertaining. I've been watching other reactions and did not find anyone (multi-racial) else disturbed by the rolling "whoo" calls. Kinda like you, I love the video and the music, but I feel uneasy when I hear the rolling "whoo" calls. I don't know what to do with that problem. It is a problem because I wanna keep listening to their music. Maybe it's just us making a big deal of it.
For all we know it might be some weird music sfx they just want to add. If they indeed follow the battle war cry of Native Americans is it really bad (sorry i don't know much about it)
My Bias is Lisa too 😍

6:10, if you're referring to the ululation, it is common globally in many cultures.
Check the MV again - they also do a native american "war dance" bit, too.

+genjii931 yeah! We did notice that as well. And the oppa part was cringey but cute at the same time 😂
