I don’t think _KHIV_ is coming out in 2026 as most doubters keep bringing up if anything I realistically see this game coming out by late 2024/early 2025. The _Kingdom Hearts IV_ trailer that was shown at the 20th Anniversary event back at 2022 looks to be way advanced in development along with the fact voiceover was added (which usually are the final things during the development of a game), so I have a hunch that development for _Kingdom Hearts IV_ started since late 2019 to early-mid 2020 and with the KH3 assets being developed in UE4 and being moved to UE5, I don’t think that the development is being slowed down like what happened with KH3, so I think KHIV will definitely come out by late 2024/early 2025 (January/February 2025).
if that were to be the case they should release a new trailer relatively soon (in like a 3 to 9 month time frame from now) but i dont think that is going to be the case but who knows only time will tell

Since we only saw like 2 game scenes we have no clue how much they actually had that they didnt show. But im sure by then, Nomuras script would have been finalized, and the voice talent would have finished recording lines. (Japanese script at least) While building game scenes takes time and resources, its easier to do when the core gameplay is complete. I give it late 2025 at the latest and I do believe there's a chance we get it this year too. (Depends on how much they had back then like i said)

I doubt that to be honestly though since they announce the forth kingdom hearts game too soon which makes me believe they could done the same thing with kingdom hearts 3 the game that didn't even come out until 2019 ever since they announce that game in 2013 which shows to me how it's never a good thing to announce a game too soon.

With kh3 out square has a good understanding of how to use the engine so there shouldnt be any delays. The trailer we got with some gameplay of kh4 was in unreal 4 but they already confirmed the games being ported to unreal 5 we're gonna get more news on its development later this year. There was also an nvidea leak for kh4 coming out end of this year but it's probably going to come out next year since that leak was pretty accurate about other games being released. Just relax and wait a bit more we'll get news soon dont worry
