I lived in New Jersey in September 2008 and reconnected with an old friend who invited me up to his house near Tarrytown, New York. I went the following month and it was a beautiful train ride up along the Hudson River looking at all the all colors. I got to the small station in Tarrytown. As I was walking out onto the nearby street to wait for my cab I noticed a plaque telling me about the history of the town Sleepy Hollow, which began just a few feet from where I was standing. I didn't know Sleepy Hollow was a real town until that moment! Then, I remembered his journey up the Hudson River to the town and it all made sense!

The iconic Christopher Lee had such a long and prolific career. He was the only cast member of The Lord of the Rings to have known Tolkien personally, even telling Peter Jackson how it actually sounds like getting stabbed. He was a Nazi fighter, special ops that are STILL classified today, he's related to Ian Fleming and was considered at 1 point to be Bond! AND EVEN PUTTING OUT A HEAVY METAL BAND ALBULM AT 88! He's absolutely the GOAT!

15:17 “Pretty graphic for a Tim Burton film.”
    Sweeney Todd: Hold my beer.
Not trying to be rude, just to be clear. Only making a joke.

The use of iron maidens is considered to be a myth, heightened by the belief that people of the Middle Ages were uncivilized; evidence of their actual use is difficult to find.

My friend moved from Dallas to Sleepy Hollow and wrote a trilogy of books based on this Washington Irvin story. His book has, in present day, Jason Crane. The great, great, great, great, great Grandson of Ichabod Crane. His parents are dead and he’s being raised by his Grandmother. She moves them to Sleepy Hollow and had bought the house that Bram had lived. He meets his cousin, the great, great, great, great, great Grandson of Bram Bones, Zev. They hate each other. Kate is Zev’s girlfriend and Jason falls in love with her. He meets a guy named Joey, who is the High School gay kid. He’s loved loved Zev for years. Zev is the High School mascot. He dresses as the Headless Horseman and rides Kate’s horse to every football game. The pasts of both Ichabod and Bram comes to haunt their lives.
He wrote me into the books and I don’t get killed! I was very happy about that!

I can’t believe you have never heard or read or watched The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It’s a classic Halloween story. This take on the classic story is my favorite, but strays greatly from the original. Loads of fun at Halloween.

I love your reactions. From Hell and Secret Window are two other very good Depp films. I also love Sweeney Todd, Benny & Joon. Once Upon A Time in Mexico - critics and a lot of people hated it - convoluted plot but worth watching just for Depp's character alone. Hope to see more of his films on your list. Thanks for taking the time to do the reactions for us to enjoy.

@Flix Talks and since this was back in 1799 the United States was still a new settlement, from British colonies & other European settlers (plus invaders) that's why you hear those British accents, and by 1799 Black slavery been in the US for 180 years..

Lots of liberties with this film. I'd recommend reading the original story. It's short.
