Beautiful game! I'm currently reading "Capablanca's Best Chess Endings" and this is one of the games in the book. I wish I would have read this book years ago as I never fully understood why Capablanca is revered as one of the best players in the history of the game. From a very young age he developed the ability to simplify winning positions and convert them to wins. I say developed but he truly mastered his abilities by the time he was a young adult. Had I read this book years ago I would probably be rated 200+ points higher today as I could have use Capablanca's endgames as blueprint for my own endgames and a jumping board for further development. There was a study done a while ago with engines that showed Capablanca to be the player that played the most correct chess however you have to take into account the competition he had and his style. But still easily top 5 of all time.
anonymous 1997 theoretically it seems you’d want to have your king behind the head pawnwith the two supports next to it, and try to get one promoted before the king and rook get together and take the supports
R, 3P, and 2 kings is 6 pieces so there is a tablebase on that. You can enter it into the free endgame tablebase on shredderchess.com and it will show you how to play every position perfectly. Not that that endgame is one of the best to learn if you're trying to improve. For that, I recommend Silman's Complete Endgame Course.
I studied it with an engine once, even against 4 pawns ( it depends how advanced and connected the pawns are, also king position plays a role) if the pawns are in the enimies position it can get dangrous, otherwise the Rook is just too fast for the pawns.

I wonder what's the problem with playing king to g4 before the bishop and knight are exchanged. Doesn't this allow the king to get deep into black's camp even earlier and have an easier time maintaining connected passed pawns?
Black can reply with Rg8 threatening Rg7+ skewering the rook, and if white plays Re7 protecting the rook then black can trade and wing the g6 pawn next, creating what I think is a drawn king and pawn endgame. This forces the white king back to f6 after Rg8 and is just wastes a move. the game move is more productive. But hey, that's me analysing, and I'm only rated like 1700

I would have thought the KF7 at this point would be checkmate and that the Rook is actually too late to defend which may be why that idea doesn't actually defend well? I am not even rated so you know, just thought about that example as not being very robust to circumvent the king + rook co-ordination if I'm understanding it correctly. I'd appreciate an explanation here thanks!

ChessNetwork timestamp is basically 0:00 until the outro comes in , it's there all the time but when you're talking, your voice is just louder than the noise. You might only notice it with headphones, because I always hear it and I always watch with headphones And no, it's not possible that it's my headphones that produce that noise, I use many different headphones and I never hear this on other videos or livestreams, but always on yours. So it must either be your microphone or something about your audio settings / mastering. Hope that helps
Okay I just checked on an older video, from 2016 and it seems like you're using a different microphone there because of the quality of your voice But the crackling is also there So it must be the audio settings in the recording software you're using. I assume you use the same now as 2 years ago?
Great choice! This is one of my favorite endgames; and you were on the money with the analysis. Be careful with the pronunciation of Tartakower though. It is pronounced TARTAKOVER. Don't pronounce it as the last part of the word "tOWER," but rather as the vehicle brand Land ROVER. Or just as you would pronounce the word "cover": TARTA-COVER.
