  • Cloud is stunned. Aerith is so pretty. He can't take his eyes off her. (Cloud x Aerith)

Reminds me of seeing my wife for the first time on our weeding day. Same reaction. Thanks for the video.

I love this scene. Seen it a thousand times. She's so beautiful that he's speechless.
Also going to point out he didn't act this way when he saw Tifa in her outfit. Only eyes for Aerith:)

      *Imitates Don Corneo's laugh*
and if I were Cloud, I would've left Tifa to mind her own business, but then again, I won't see Aerith in her pretty dress 😍

@@meowmeow3778 He would have too! It was only cause Aerith was super insistent that he go save Tifa that he did it. I also have a feeling Aerith also made him do it cause she didn't want to leave his side yet :)

I thought it was interesting that Tifa's dresses were essentially made for the players. Cloud has no reaction, but the players certainly reacted to the mature, sporty, and exotic dresses. However, Aerith's dresses each result in a different response from Cloud.
Could be something, could be nothing, but I like that Aerith's dresses engage a reaction from Cloud.

Scenes like this really make me think what I’m doing with my life and if I should just quit on hoping to find a girl like her

I didn't know how to contact you privately, so I settled for posting this on a low views video.
I wrote a fairly in-depth essay analyzing Cloti and Clerith. (I felt compelled to write it due to your video essays and due to my strong identification with Cloud.) I know we have some disagreements about canonicity, but I think you will still find it interesting. For the record, I consider Clerith to be the best romance in fiction, while I find the thought of a Cloti romance to be rather disturbing.
Edit: I disabled the previously given link for the essay.

Thank you for writing to me. I read your essay and I love it. You are right though, there are some things we disagree with since I am not a firm believer of the canonicity of the compilation. I believe the compilation was made as separate spin-offs and it's connectivity can only be used with a grain of salt.

@@PollenAinne Regarding the compilation's canonicity, I may have a different view due to my late entry into the series; my introduction to the Final Fantasy franchise was Remake on Dec. 9th, 2020 (not intentional btw), and I finished FFVII, ACC, BC, CC, DC, OtWtaS, TURKS -TKAA-, and Remake: Picturing the Past by Jan. 30th, 2021.

Remake includes elements from even DC, and Nomura adding Remake to the compilation signals to me that the compilation is canon, so that's another thing.
I'd also go so far as to say that every compilation entry ultimately strengthens Clerith. (I'm probably in the minority regarding CC strengthening Clerith, though I believe the essay already covers the ways that it does.)
Anyways, it's fine if we disagree on that. I'm glad you liked the essay. Thanks for reading it. (I know it was long.)

@@heathferris8820 Oh all the stories are canon, when I say canonicity, I meant canonicity to it's relevance to the original plot. As per the devs, they are definitely taking some aspects of the compilation into the REMAKE but not the entire thing. They are only taking parts that work and leaving out parts that don't. Before RE existed, I take every single aspect of the compilation as simply a "what if" scenario that could or could not apply to the OG depending on it's relevance and how it can fit into the story. But a lot of the compilation directly contradicts the original (this I believe is because the compilation was created long years after and they prioritized creating their own story rather than making a cohesive whole).
However with RE, we can now conclude some of the canon parts and the non canon parts, but still the entire compilation as a whole cannot be completely canon. I see people desperately trying to make sense of every single part of the compilation to align it properly and go to lengths of making it look cohesive by adding their own "maybes" into the mix. I understand that because I was once there too when the compilation was made. I was desperate for more FF7 content that I tried my best to make excuses for it. But I have been a fan of FF7 for 23 long years and I have accepted how the creators vision has scattered along the way with the different liberties taken by different directors. And that is why Nojima had stated a condition himself that he would return if he would be given more autonomy in writing the characters.
But truthfully, I don't mind how people see the story. Cloti or Clerith, compilation fan or not, if anyone can write an in-depth analysis of it as you have done, I really admire the love and dedication made into it simply because I love FF7 a lot. And I wholeheartedly agree on a lot of your points. Thanks so much for sharing, I enjoyed reading it.
