      Or, hear me out, use that thing sitting on top of your neck and build your own. The batteries are the most expensive thing, but all e-bike batteries are made with 18650 batteries. Those batteries are cheap or at least much cheaper than the e-bike battery sold as one. Get yourself some 18650 batteries watch some instructional videos on RUclips and rent a spot welder to assemble them. $100-$150 you have yourself a powerful ebike battery that would normally run you about $800. Now get a 1000+watt rear hub and a bike to put it on. $400 all in depending on the cost of the bike itself with better range, speed and power than e bikes that cost $3000+

The price of the bike then was $350.00 now you kids are having so much fun that ill never have I'm so proud of your generation I told my kid when I was younger we can only look at a BMW on a poster now every 20 year old has one and he's all depressed its not an Audi.. He doesn't understand why I laugh at him when he cries about that.. Anyways go have fun.. Enjoy it .. Best thing we had when we were kids was Boom boxes at the City public pool.. • @exgenica
    @exgenica 3 года назад +1

    They will prevent your using many city buses. I see that as a negative point regarding it being suitable as a mixed-mode commuting bike.
    The extremely fat tires will not fit into almost all city *bus* external bike rack tire slots I've seen. The tires are just too wide. Most racks on the city buses seem to be designed for the thinner "city street" tires. Plus, my experience has been that when a bike doesn't fit in the rack most drivers will not allow the larger folding bikes (20" and above) to be carried on board the bus. In some cities they even stop me from carrying a much smaller folded 16-inch bike on board the bus (I checked this even when the tires would fit in the rack tire slots just to see if they would allow it. It's up to each driver and seemed to be about 50/50 and depending somewhat on the number of passengers onboard.)

I wonder what that could do for your battery? Would be cool to find out along with Regen, and a 2nd battery I bet it would be amazing! Good review, I appreciate all the footage of you riding it and the detailed speed info. Am wondering about fit and leg extension. It looks you're able to get a full extension and thus pedal well. How many inches is your inseam, and if you don't mind posting it, your height and weight? Do you have the seatpost at its highest setting?
    Also, is full throttle avaliable at any PAS level or is it governed by that? Ie can I get full power throttle off the line even if bike is in PAS 1.

    Quick question. Did you adjust those settings after you took this video of riding? Because you changed the wheel size, that would mean the speedometer will show a different speed. I got a yamee xl recently, and I'm wondering if mine is defective or your settings are just different. Mine will only go 22mph. In the process of figuring this problem out with yamee, but they are really slow with replies

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace
      @ElectricVehicleSpace  3 года назад

      I did not change the wheel size only power output. You should look into polarna gts video I posted. So much better. Improved components and better quality with more power.

    • @Boba80223
      @Boba80223 3 года назад

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace at 8:20 of the video, you adjusted the wheel size from 24 to 20. That will decrease your maximum speed from whatever you were getting to the real 22mph. If you check on Google maps you will be going the same speed no matter what wheel size you select, but on the display, it will show a higher number the bigger wheel size you select, even though the actual speed is the same. Test it out. What I'm trying to say is the bikes real maximum speed is nowhere near the advertised 27. It's 22. Which is upsetting. At least that's how it is on my yamee xl

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace
      @ElectricVehicleSpace  3 года назад

Other companies will give you the opportunity to play a "fortune wheel" where you will only get a 5% discount out of 1700.00 (1615.00 net price) but they don't offer the black model. Build your own. Get a decent bike to start with, get a conversation kit and you'll get a lot more power for less money. They have videos on RUclips. It's not hard to do. You can do it in a few hours if you have all the stuff. Batteries are crazy priced, but you can get some on eBay or better yet just make your own. All e bike batteries are made with 18650 batteries just put together. You can solder the connections, but for best results I think you use a spot welder. I'm sure you can rent one. I know you can buy a spot welder for this job and all the 18650 batteries to make a good e by battery for less than the retail price of a battery. All these places charge 1000% markup on the batteries it's ridiculous
