Great video. Only one bus came from Merseyside Transport Trust which was 1898. The others came from Taylor St (54 & DFG38), 201 Group (1),. John.Cherry (206), myself (1003 & 1788) and Steve Wood (1039). 206, 1003, 1039 and 1788 had come from Hooton Park Trust and North West VRT.
Other Wallasey buses that couldnt be on the run that day were 15, 53, 74 and 106 with other ex Seaview Road based vehicles 93, 159 and 1276.

I remember once in the very early seventies there being a show put on at the Floral Pavilion for all the schools in the Wallasey area at the end of the summer term. When we came out in the bright sun light there was a line-up of 20 to 30 Wallasey Corporation PD2s all in the Wallasey Corporation livery waiting to take kids back to the various schools. That must have been about the last time there was such a turn-out before the MPTE disposed of some of the older PD2s and the arrival of the first Jumbos on the Wirral in the new MPTE livery.

I remember around 1959/1960 when I first started Bus Spotting my Dad would often drive us through Longton Lancashire to see the Bus Dealer's Yard in Longton, where many old Ribble Buses spent their last days. But around the time there was also a number of Ex Wallasey Corp. buses there. I never saw the front, but the back showed they were all open rear staircase double deckers, I recollect there were at least six or more of them that were there for ages.
