Brilliant, absolutely brilliant performances from both Lyndsay Duncan - who SHOULD have been cast in The Crown - and the wonderfully talented John Sessions who was such an underrated actor and so sadly missed. R.I.P John and thank you for always putting a smile on my face with excellent performances
Lindsay Duncan gave the best performance of her career as Margaret Thatcher. the scene where thatcher is isolated and her career is over is devastating. and she meets her cabinet for the last time. she is on her own yet icy. determined, she knows that they have stabbed her In the back. acting of highest order from Lindsay Duncan.
I watched the speech recently. The House of Commons' TV images captured a far less emotionally literate Thatcher than this director's melodramatic presentation.
To me, she was just another of those people that just knew she was not one of the heard, she knew what had to be done no matter what the cost, she was every bit a megalomaniac as hitler, Stalin or Saddam. When will we learn not to put these people in positions of great power

Thatcher actually laughed at the cricket bat joke
With the recent events in Hong Kong, the signing over of the colony to China was a betrayal by Thatcher toward the people of Hong Kong.
She had no latitude in the matter. She had to honor the commitments that the UK made under the Second Convention of Peking.

Tony Blair?
You don't want a Prime Minister with any idea of "what has to be done"; you just want a weak floppy thing who wants to do nothing.
Dennis Thatcher played by Darth Sidious actor Ian McDiarmid
