I've been following Thousand Pounds & the RivenX3i channel since they first created the account and I just want to say that you guys have come a LONG way since your first debut on RUclips. I find myself coming back to these concept videos throughout the years. They are all so distinct and beautiful. When I was young, my favorites were Lion and Eagle since it displayed the signature abilities so creatively. Now that I'm older, Wolf has quickly become my favorite for the sheer catharsis inherent to the concept and performances. I didn't understand the abilities of Wolf when I was younger but when the Patriarch called out his brothers names it felt so powerful. I can see now that Nene's Brother wasn't simply fighting for revenge, but truly wrestling with grief, sorrow and loss in his heart.
This keeps getting better and better... I can see a lot of thought and worrk has been put not only in the choreo but in the lore for the clans... damn... this looks... This looks like Imma get my geek on, yeah!

So I am a kickstarter backer and I'm a bit disapointed. I did not pledge an amount of money I couldn't afford to loose so I'm not angry or something but still. It's been a year and I thought by now I would've seen a pilot (or a pre-prod pilot or something). I still have no clue what the story is (but hey, I just wanted to see Amy kick some asses !)... Oh well...
It doesn't matter what language choose, what matter is that we don't understand it. Dothraki or Nigerian... they're both languages we don't understand. Please understand what I'm saying.
What I mean with like the Dothraki is that I could be realistic like the Dothraki. No need for a fake language, they can take any language like one of an African country.
The concept as a whole is great, production is top notch, fight scenes are exceptional, but am I the only one that found the storyline cheesy, predictable and not that appealing? :P

That was a beautiful scene. I honestly feel like if it fits that should be a final piece of the web series. I do agree that there were quite a few more cuts than I am used to in your videos. I would prefer some longer shots of the choreography but this also seemed like it had less focus on the action, so the entire sequence was beautiful either way. I am also impressed with the actors. Great work guys.
The reason the videos are so different is because they are examples of the different clans that make up the world. Each of the clans fighting styles, ethnicities, and location a drastically different from one another. Thus each video gives a small peak at each one, as to give the viewers (us) a better understanding of each. That way, when the actual series comes out we will understand the story line a little bit more.
So... just because there's no bursts of light, or filters placed over events that have yet to happen means they have no powers? Or that it's not obvious? Wolves are not solitary, they're pack hunters. It's OBVIOUS the general style for the Wolf Clan emphasizes cooperative styles to show this. Even then, 2v1 Adajhi was holding his own, yet 1v1 with the Patriarch was obviously a match, until he decided to allow Adajhi to hit him.
As it stands, yeah. For me it was the whole narration-thing going on in the beginning, it just felt out-of-place. It's like a letter for the character Adahji, yet she is dead, making the first minute or so of Nena a bit "excessive". It's like Nena's whole letter could have been shortened to just "I died, but it's not your fault." (Boom) Action starts. The most interesting aspect of this video, imo, is I simply couldn't tell who is the good guy, which is usually a good thing; depending on story.
To people complaining about the accents, This group seems patch-worked together, like the rest of the clans (save for maybe eagle they look like they might turn out all Asian). Adahji and his sister Nena come from the same place, but they traveled to meet up with the clan. I think I could as far as saying they take in people who society forgets or throws away. Orphans, homeless, and alll other outcast. Its why the fight so viciously to stay together
Well, from what I can see, the wolves are by far the most powerful clan. They have a pretty awesome ability: When their pupils glow purple, the camera fades out right into a victory scene. Wow! This is probably because contemporary video cameras aren't powerful enough to capture the speed and ferocity of the wolf pack's fighting style. My mind is blown.
I really liked it acting could be a little better. I preferred the way you filmed the fight with the patriarch above the way you filmed the first fight, it was really confusing and I didn't really had any sense of geografie or what was really happening during the fight. But overall I really liked where this was going en would like to see more :p
feel like this was more of a story instead of just a fight, and you know what i liked it. i mean they've done fight scene with reasonable stories before like the Naruto one, but ones like the street fighter and the tag team one had less of a story and more of a lets just fight for no real explanation. i like the video hope to see more of this kind a the others soon =]
Ok rivenx, that was beautifully done! A bit too much angle switches but wow, nice filming and acting and choreography was spot on! One small problem, you should be thinking of deaf people, i can't hear and im deaf. I must beg you to consider subtitles!!! Please!

Adding onto that, there's hinted a spiritual synergy between the pack. Nena "warning" him where Adajhi will strike, or when their eyes take on the glow near the end. We don't know the extent or what exactly happened, but its obvious enough they overpowered him.
I actually felt like crying at the end. He lost his sister, and blamed the pack. I wish I was a good enough actor and good enough fighter, because I would frickin' love to have been a part of this movie. I can't wait to see what the other clans are like, especially the Bear Clan.
Stick to what you know guys, awesome fighting, vengeance, sacrifice, but this emotional twilight bit was kind of weak sauce, I guess we're all entitled to a bad one here and there. So far everything else was great, but put this one in the breakage bin.
I think it is following the story of the key heros within their respective clans. The reason each is radically different is because each clan has their own way and struggles as well. So, so far I'm seeing 3 clans to follow thus far.

I think its because they aren't necessarily related by blood. Its as if they are a conglomerate of lone wolves that formed a family, a pack. So while their accents represent their individuality, they come together as family.
This was amazing. I'd go as far as to say that this was better than all of their previous work. And their previous work is already amazing. WELL DONE! I already was a subscriber, but now I am now a die-hard fan.

Such short budget but with such great filming and story line. The only one could make this happen is the one and only Thousand Pound. Wish that they could make one about Bleach or One piece that be great.
Awesome video, but I wish you wouldn't change camera angles so much, sure it might make the fight seem more fast paced but it's hard to get the full picture of what's happening and it makes me dizzy
At 6:55 when they just start "swiping" at each other, that looks savage. This part made me think of a real wolf fighting style. Through with anime and stuff, I'm tired of seeing the clawing with fingers.
It was OK! but i was a little disappointed, i hoped to see another fight like the naruto one or street fighter! and hoped also to see people using weapons! looking forward to the next FIGHT

It looks like in this case the protagonist is the one who did the sacrificing, and the victim is sorry that she was too week to survive the initiation. Nice grey area story if you ask me.
Any Made up language in movies or Tv shows sound realistic. If you wanted them to use a REAL language you should have said that instead of saying Dothraki. thats all im saying

I really like how each clan operates and have different hierarchies, climates, and techniques, it really shows how big the clandestine world is being crafted.
Stories from different clans, are coming together. But they all share one thing. I dont quite understand it too much myself. But it will be apart of one big thing.

next time do it in a foreign language(of course with subtitles), makes it more realistic and original. Like the Dothraki in Game of Thrones.

From what Im gathering so far each video has a character that has a spirit in them (lion, wolf, etc) and so far its just about that character so far
I like how they don't show what happened in the 3 vs 1, so that they keep us guessing what the glowy eyes mean. Can't wait for the show to release! :D
