This record was suitably retro in 1986 when it came out. Modern country was too modern and this was perfect, still is. We saw Mr Dwight Yoakam back then at Massey Hall. We waited outside his bus after the show. He didn't come out but he sent out some signed pics and we were delighted.

A healthy respect for history - doing some Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Willie Nelson covers in addition to his LONG list of hits. Dwight's cover of this classic Johnny Horton song is my all time favorite song to dance to. I can Two-Step to. I put women in a circle around me and rotate them around me. I've gotten to 8 partners.
