This is Dimash's creation. He wrote the music, the screenplay and acted the main role. It took him 3 years to bring to fruition and is a subject that is very close to his heart.
As a completely independent artist this was entirely self funded and had a cast and crew of over 300 people.

Es una obra que DIMASH demoró mas de 3 años en realizar, independiente que hay personas talentosas que trabajan con él, Dimash no deja absolutamente nada sin supervisar , siempre está presente en cada cosa, por más mínima que sea.
Una obra maestra, un mensaje desgarrador, un llamado a las conciencias, a la tolerancia, comprensión y paz entre los seres humanos.
Los niños se convierten en DIMASH, su esposa embarazada y su hijita, el amigo el comandante.
En el momento que si esposa trae a luz su hijo , el encuentra su hija sin vida. Dimash muere al vengar la muerte de su hija, y su hijo lleva el colgante como un símbolo de que aún hay esperanza de un mundo mejor.
Entre mezcla las religiones que deberian estar unidas etc. Es una obra llena de mucho significado, y la voz de Dimash ❤️, Dios mío, como transmite.

The premier showing of this song was performed live at his 3 hour Almaty concert. It does not have the story line that the video has but the live show has his energy and emotion that he gives at 110 percent always. You need to see both performances of this song. Of course you realize that Dimash is the boy that almost drowned and the older boy is the dictator that he eventually kills. The token that he gives to all three is shown throughout the video and the baby born Thanks for your reaction of this video. He doesn’t want to block this show because he wants the world to freely see what he created.

In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing , in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is.
OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Ohm", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.
He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. You can see it with English subtitles.

This is one piece of Dimash's work that really does need to be researched by reactors first so they get some idea of what's going on and learn about the very important message for world peace Dimash is trying to give us.
I've seen a lot in my decades on the planet and it's my hope that when the world hits rock bottom Dimash and others like him are still around to lead everyone to a Star Trek society rather than a Mad Max one. Another great review (not going to call your videos reactions anymore. I learn heaps every time. It's a review). That twangy instrument you wondered about goes by many names - mouth harp, jaw harp, jew harp and in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing, is a pretty cool instrument. Arohanui.

This song is Dimash’s master piece! The MV is crazy and Dimash’s voice is out of this world! Like you said, is an experience!
👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen.
This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnonom).
Both boys are in love with the girl. But she decides on 'Dimash'. The other boy feels hurt.
The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work.
It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. "Dimash" fights as a soldier, while his heavily pregnant wife (the girl) with his daughter and his entire family stay in his house. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology.
As an antagonist (Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who defends themselves has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is my oyster and I want to give it to you. „War is the way to a united people!”
The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter.
When he finally comes home, he is horrified to find that his entire family is dead, his wife has disappeared and his little daughter is dead. The loss of his daughter almost drives him crazy. He wants revenge and an end to the horror. He shoots the general, his childhood friend and lifesaver... and is killed himself.
The protagonist's wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who will give birth to a special child.
The many pilgrim men are people of all religions who walk together the arduous path to the light, to a place of hope, truth and peace.
One day, the protagonist's son grew up to be one of their leaders.
The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

The song was produced as a result of a Spanish-speaking Dear asking Dimash whether he would sing something in Spanish, since the number of Spanish-speaking Dears had mushroomed so much in just a few years. Dimash thought for a few seconds, then replied, yes, OK. And this beautiful masterpiece was the result.

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

Excellent reaction. In case you didn't notice. The video is divided into 3 parts, the past, present and future. The children are innocent, even the crazy Piper who saves his friend and when he grows up becomes corrupted. Dimash and the girl look in love. It is assumed with a partner, she is pregnant and while she gives birth screaming at the same time that Dimash screams for the death of their daughter, it is simply painful to see. Then you see different religions united, and who leads? Dimash's son, who is the baby born after his parents die. (the mother dies, if you look closely) Dimah's son of course is just like him (LOL) Take everyone together to a utopian but beautiful future, where religion is not a reason for divisions or wars.
This was all Dimash's project! He wrote the screenplay and composed the music; and it took him 3 years and $7 million to complete! . He did find an amazing lyricist to write the lyrics, and fabulous director, and production team to put it all together. This is Dimash's baby and his pride. Too intricate, mentally and intellectually challenging after pianist composer Franz Liszt composed the first Symphonic Tone Poem in the early 1800s and changed music forever. Dimash stood on his shoulders, in a 3 year effort composed a 14 minute symphony, wrote a screenplay, acted it, sang it, put it in movie format and distributed it, made music history and brought the international music community to its knees ! Within weeks LA music and entertainment executives and composers and artists worldwide were knocking on his door. At their invitation he agreed to meet with David Foster and other executives and artists in a 3 week stint in California this year, and trade journals talked of him, future projects, one in the works now and awards

Dimash was the mastermind of this video/song. The making was a cost of about $7 million provided from Dimash. His mission is to spread awareness, hope, unity, and peace no matter the race, origin, or religion.
As far as the story goes, Dimash grew up to be the soldier, the Commander was the boy who saved Dimash as a young boy, the lady giving birth was the young girl at the beach. She and Dimash were the parents of the little girl who was killed and Dimash was holding. The baby grew up to be Dimash leading the people to the mountain towards the light.
The first "melissima" (yodel like), is the Kazakh "chant of mourning" be sang it in Endless Passion, unbeknownst to the band, he inserted it in the song (note their faces snd silence) in honor of the recent unexpected death of a band member, they wrote the song. It was so well received it remainsin bis performance. It suits the scene in this movie as he gazes through the door at his daughter.

The "doorstopper" sound is most likely a mouth harp. The little girl that was killed is the daughter of the girl from the beach and Dimash in the story line.
The subtitles are accurate. It is sometimes his pronunciation that makes it feel off. As you said English is not his first language and he doesn't speak much English at all, although he is getting better at it all the time.
We actually prefer to watch you zone out and really be caught up in this video. I hope you never feel you have to talk just for the sake of talking with any reaction.
This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life.
Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb)
So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer.
