How can I make a curved groove or beading along the curved surface?

How did you delete @ 2:01 ? Trying similar and hitting delete does not work, eraser tool does not work either.

Cool! But keep in mind that the pill shape cuts out a rounded surface, so only the first option will give you that lark's tongue
