Ps2 was not very powerful, the graphics in this game are still impressive but Gamecube or Xbox could have made it look way better, a good proove of this is comparing Resident Evil 4 Gamecube and ps2 version

I remember being scared as shit out of Colossus. A giant statue coming to life and slowly coming at me was creepy. Still, I loved this fight, a lot. Definitely one of the most badass bosses in GOW.

Take note developers, THIS game was how to do a sequel. Builds upon an already awesome story, alot more boss battles, lots of awesome weapons, great music. GOW2, what a game

It was around 2014. So i was born in 2006 August 5th so i was like 8 years old. I was in my Bedroom with a really small TV while in the other room my dad was Putting a TV we just bought that was the biggest. We still have it today but i now live in Germany.

Was too scared to play this part of the game when I was younger lol. So I literally stayed at this level and just started playing like ratchet and clank
The Colossus of Rhodes scared the shit out of me when I first played this at the age of 10. I had never playing anything like this before ( Super Mario Sunshine was the previous game I played) and its angry movements and screams frightened me. I did finish most of the game, though.

I played GoW 1 for the first time last week and now I'm playing 2 for the first time! Really loving the games! Sadly I will need to wait for my sister to visit before I can play 3 and 4 because she moved out with the PS4 last August :(

I love this battle. I thought it was epic and kinda hilarious at the same time that they made the Colossus of Rhodes a boss fight, as that was a real statue in Rhodes. They started construction in 292 BC and finished in 280 BC, and it stood for 54 tears until it collapsed in an earthquake in 226 BC. The Rhodians did not rebuild it because they feared that they had offended Helios.

Fun Fact: Kratos wanted revenge against the gods, but he was subject to the decree, "No god shall slay another god," made by Zeus. In GoW lore, Zeus made a decree, "No god shall slay another god," it's an absolute law that not even Zeus can break, but there's a loophole. Zeus transferred Kratos' godly powers into the Colossus, but not all of it, so he "gave" the Blade of Olympus to Kratos to drain the rest of his godly powers. Having done so, Kratos is no longer a god, but a mortal once more, Zeus kills Kratos immediately after. That's the loophole. This shows how cunning Zeus was.
The GoW2 soundtrack is outright hostile towards Kratos, because Kratos-along with his Sparta, whom he regards as his new family-constantly attacks the greek cities as a form of revenge against the gods for not keeping their promise of releasing him from the nightmares of his past sins of killing his wife and daughter. So, the soundtrack can be seen as the Greek citizens praying to Zeus.

When Kratos Retouched the Blade of Olympus at the End of Gow 2 he regained his Godly Power and in Ps All Stars Battle Royale His Level 3 Ultimate Has Him Turning Big and Gaining His Godly Armor he has Here in this Video with Updated Graphics so He rebecame the God of War.
Also Revenge for the events of Gow Ghost of Sparta
It's a shame that Ragnarök and Valhalla never mention this fight. This was EPIC. Hell, all God of War 2 bosses were cool as hell!
