I'd say this was up there with the best of them, for a woodland photography vlog. Loved the humour, enjoyed seeing the location and lovely light, wonderful production as aways, and some super images there too. Oh, and great b-roll tips, gotta get me that handbook 👍
Excellent video mate, and not only cause I'm in it! Love your b roll edits and grading in this. Looks like I missed the best images on the car park common - those are really nice shots! Outtakes are hilarious - thanks for your company again mate, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My version is queued ready for release tomorrow night....there a couple of not too dissimilar images also 😉
Jamie Overland I really enjoyed it too mate and very much looking forward to seeing your vlog (and your obvious knock off of my fantastic composition) 😂😂
😂 😆 😝 Great opening and I love how you skewered the big boys. I've enjoyed your music selection for your videos and now that I've subscribed to Epedemic I know what to search for "Plinky Plonky" 👍👍
That was Fab! Such a great idea and loved the tongue-in-cheek digs. No mention of a dog though, might be in the 2nd edition lol. Great images Gary love those from nr the parking area, plus the pine trees pano. Not sure the i-phone would have been so good. Keep safe matey, there's trolls in the woods!
Great video and photos Gary, inspires me to go to Ashridge Forest in the next few weeks and see what I can get. Think I may get myself a copy of that book! :)
I had the pure luck to live in a cottage in Thetford Forest for a couple of years. Curse myself that I didn't take more photo's (pre-digital age). Will have to go back down and do a nostalgia tour someday. Now live in a part of Britain that people come the world over to see and I still don't get out enough with the camera....spend too long editing photo's and not taking them. Nice to know that I'm not the only one that landscape vlogging cliches drives nuts. Inspirational shots by the way, wonderful colours, very soothing, managing to get such order out of the chaos....(okay I'll stop there) ;-)
Another great vid, buddy. Absolutely creased up with the dig at Mr Heaton and his venture to charge $13,000 so he can have a free holiday in Antarctica 😂. Something else that should go in the Dummies guide is to make sure you mention SquareSpace at least once every 5 minutes.
City Street I don’t have a dog unfortunately. I did suggest that Jamie could have a go at pretending to be a dog but he didn’t seem too keen for some reason 😂😂
Notification popped up just as I was sat down for my lunch... was chuckling at the intro., I must get a copy of that book as I am really pants when it comes to woodland photography. Image wise a great selection and the *jamie* was the outstanding one of the collection. Was a section on doing calendars in that book? If not I think it would be a great addition.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I really enjoy watching you Gary, your personality is fantastic. Making a joke of "the big guys" is great. Unfortunately there is a growing divide occurring on some YT channels that's moving away from the core Photography element. Not on yours though Mate! Thanks for sharing, 👍🤣. By the way I need that book as I'm doing a lot of what you said, 😂😂😂📸👍
Shropshire Photography thanks very much 👍 I thought I’d put a card up for Jamie’s channel, but here’s a link anyway: ruclips.net/channel/UCZDnx7vu1axicfHteGvIFPg 😀
You know you made me laugh on this one, some great images Gary. May I suggest getting Viewranger on your phone as you'll not get lost anymore, just start it when you leave the carpark and pause when you're shooting, then restart it Keeps a track of where you are and where the car is 🤣
Enjoyed that, no fluff, pretence, faff. Just an honest vlog with cracking sense of humour. Enjoyed that :)
Cheers Andy, I have a lot of respect for your views so I appreciate that :-)
Cracking vlog, some great images there Gary, beautiful colours
Thanks mate, very kind of you :-)

I'll send you a copy out by first class ;-)

Superb cinematography presented in such a humble manner. What a refreshingly real person. Keep up the amazing work 👍
Thanks mate, I try to be as real as I can :-)
😂 😆 😝

Mike Goodwin obviously it was all in good spirit (honest!) Yep, I hear that Epidemic are going to allow you to filter by plinky plonkiness very soon 😂

Jeff Files thanks very much 😀 I tried to get Jamie to be the dog but he wasn’t having any of it 😂
@@GaryNormanPhoto yeh I read that, and you wanted to keep your bag clean!! Top draw vlog, just love your b-roll, cheers.

Cheers mate, I look forward to seeing what images you get from there :-)
So beautiful!!
포톡Photalk thanks very much 👍
Well worth the wait for that pano at 18.05, superb shot and gorgeous light. Nice one.
Lee Pengelly Photography thanks mate, I can’t possibly claim the credit for that as Jamie spotted that particular composition 👍
Re: Photography 😂 definitely well executed though, got to get me that book too by the way 😂😂

Haha, yep it's all about the order from the chaos ;-)

hyphen aerial photography there’s a whole other book dedicated to Squarespace 😂
Don't forget Rule 5 - how many times to say it's "gorgeous, I'm really excited etc etc". Great vlog.
That's in the second edition mate...
One thing you forgot to mention is that you need b-roll of your dog running through the trees/water etc.
City Street I don’t have a dog unfortunately. I did suggest that Jamie could have a go at pretending to be a dog but he didn’t seem too keen for some reason 😂😂
@@GaryNormanPhoto I'd have sh*t in your camera bag 😂

Alan Coles thanks mate, I’m sure you’d be able to produce an excellent calendar without any guide book 👍
Loved the video. I was surprised not to see your name on that boat trip. Was the sniper playing a banjo too? Great pics...
Ivan Stevens haha, no for some reason I didn’t make the guest list 🤔😂

We are all guilty of most of the stuff at one time or another mate!
@@GaryNormanPhoto my vlogs must read like the index of that book!! Lol.
Great VLOG .. really enjoyed the interaction between you both .. you did mention about putting a link to Jamie’s channel ? 👍

Surely if you died doing something you love, your wife would know ! Heart attack on the job...
