The main reason the ending bothers me is that the ENTIRE series is spent building up to The Golden Age where Arthur accepts magic and Merlin can be free but that never happens. I get at the end, showing Merlin is immortal and that Arthur will return is supposed to be an ‘open ending’ and showing that Merlin is still waiting but, the viewers will never actually get to see that. The whole point of the series never happens. Oh and I kinda wished the magic reveal was maybe 2-3 episodes earlier than it was but that’s not my main problem

I watched all 5 seasons on Netflix in a week, and then cried when it finished. Of course, Netflix was a douche and then kept saying "Continue watching Merlin" :(

So disappointed the way bbc merlin ended. I wanted to see king Arthur take away the ban on magic in camlot. Give Merlin the greated he deserved.

You spend the whole series watching Merlin hearing characters taking of Arthur’s death, ignoring it thinking “as if they’d kill him” then to watch the finale episode and have 4 seasons of happiness ripped from your chest forever...
The way Merlin said "rabbits?" is still adorable.
Kind of surprised Mordred wasn't in the teaser.
i think it would have probably given away the whole "Arthur's bane thing", the creators might have wanted it to be a surprise for the audience when we saw him -I was terrified when he appeared on screen and said 'Hello Merlin'

LOL i love how Merlin and Arthur got caught in a simple trap and even though Arthur was extremely pissed off at Merlin for getting caught so easily, his last request was to let Merlin go. And Merlin is like "If you're going to kill Arthur, you're going to have to kill me first."

Bradley in a interview said that it could be the final season and he would be happy anyway because they made a great job with these five seasons.It all depends from the share and the passion of the fans. If the public loses interest, then there will be no other seasons. (this does not concern the movies, there will be 3 movies, i know)
They really bring a new look for this series! I can't wait. This season is different from the previous 4 season. I hope arthur and merlin's funny sense of humour is still there! hahahaha :D
