Pray for health -- for Yehovah does not desire us to add to our sickness and shorten our life on Earth by the choices we make, especially those who like myself, researchers, remaining sedentary far too much, when we could have lived longer to serve Him.

That "plugging in other words" is what I do ALL THE TIME when I read the scriptures. Also, the perspective of reading the same text in different languages gives us a richer perspective. Read the New Testament in Spanish, for example and get ready for some sweet nuances you'd never expected.
Then I read the Old Testament and I see "the LORD", I plug in either "Jehovah" or "Yahweh" so that I can get the full impact. Even in the New Testament, when Jesus said, "Why do you call me Lord, Lord?" In Hebrew, He could have been saying, "Why do you call me, Lord Jehovah?", which makes much more sense.

    • @abashedsanctimony154

      Yes right here.
Amos 2:1 Thus says the Lord,
“For three transgressions of [a]Moab and for four (multiplied delinquencies)
I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it,
Because he burned the bones of the king of Edom [Esau’s descendant] into lime [and used it to plaster a Moabite house].
      2
“So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] upon Moab
      And it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth;
And Moab shall die amid tumult and uproar,
With war cries and shouts of alarm and the sound of the trumpet.
      3
“I will also cut off and destroy the ruler from its midst
And slay all the princes with him,” says the Lord.
      Judgment on Judah
      4
      Thus says the Lord,
“For three transgressions of Judah and for four (multiplied delinquencies)
I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it,
Because they have rejected the law of the Lord [the sum of God’s instruction to His people]
      And have not kept His commandments;
But their lies [and their idols], after which their fathers walked,
      Caused them to go astray.
      5
“So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction by the Babylonians] upon Judah
And it will devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.”
      Judgment on Israel
      6
      Thus says the Lord,
“For three transgressions of Israel and for four (multiplied delinquencies)
I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it,
Because they sell the righteous and innocent for silver
And the needy for the price of a pair of sandals.
      7
“These who pant after (long to see) the dust of the earth on the head of the helpless [as sign of their grief and distress]
      Also turn aside the way of the humble;
And a man and his father will go to the same [b]girl
So that My holy name is profaned.
      8
“They stretch out beside every [pagan] altar on clothes taken in pledge [to secure a loan, disregarding God’s command],
And in the house of their God [in contempt of Him] they frivolously drink the wine [which has been] taken from those who have been fined.
      9
“Yet it was I [not the false gods] who destroyed the Amorite before them,
Though his height was like the height of the cedars,
      And he was as strong as the oaks;
I even destroyed his fruit above and his root below.
      10
“Also it was I who brought you up out of the land of Egypt,
And I led you forty years through the wilderness
That you might possess the land of the Amorite.
      11
“Then I raised up some of your sons to be prophets [who gave you My revelation],
And some of your young men to be Nazirites (dedicated ones).
Is this not true, O you children of Israel?” says the Lord.
      12
“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink [despite their vows]
And commanded the prophets, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy!’
      13
“Behold, I am weighted down beneath you
As a cart that is weighted down when it is full of sheaves.
      14
“Flight will be lost to the swift [so they will be unable to escape],
And the strong shall not strengthen nor maintain his power,
Nor shall the mighty man save his own life.
      15
“He who handles the bow will not stand his ground,
The one who is swift of foot will not escape,
Nor will he who rides the horse save his life [from the invading army].
      16
“Even the bravest among the warriors shall flee naked on that day,” says the Lord.

The Rabbis needed to comprehend Christian teachings , to be able to defend against it/them. They were not burdened to guard the early unchanged text of Hebrew Matthew.

    G'day Keith & Nehemia...
Just wanted to add to the comments regarding crowds following Yeshua...
Yeshua preached the Acceptable Year of the Lord - Which is the Sabbath Year of Rest... In this case it was the 7 x 7th Sabbath Year before the 80th Jubilee Year - The Year of the Restoration of ALL THINGS... Two Sabbath Years in a row basically...
The crowds of People that followed after Yeshua were mostly all the indentured town / country folk that were fulfilling Torah and released from manual labour etc. for that Year...
The only people that were working in that Year was the Priesthood, after Yeshua healed countless people... They would have performed holy tasks never before done probably... The Hierarchy must have shuddered when noise filtered back to the Top...!
I think this verse/s below has been placed in the wrong place and should have been the beginning of the verses aka 1st Nisan, around Yeshua clearing the Temple the 2nd time just before being crucified - In the Jubilee Year...
    Any ideas on this....???
(Luke 6:1 [KJV] And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

    • @lilynazara3809
      @lilynazara3809 3 года назад +1

Can I tag a question on yours please.
      Was King David a melchizadek?
If so, Yeshua's explanation of His actions "plucking" corn on the Sabbath, with a reminder of David and the showbread, would make a lot of sense.
Maybe could have something to do with the positioning of verses.

    • @WildBarley67
      @WildBarley67 3 года назад +1

@@lilynazara3809 - Could also mean that it was a Sabbath Year of Rest...
      (Mark 2:26 [KJV])
How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
The above clue about the time Abiathar was High Priest would narrow it down a lot...
I have David becoming King of Israel age 30, in the Jubilee Year...
Yeshua in His time, the same circumstances of Years... I think this next verse of Luke's is in the wrong chapter and should be New Years Day of the 80th Jubilee Year or 14 Days before Yeshua was crucified... Matt & Marks verses could have been talking about the Sabbath Year - aka the 7 x 7th Sabbath Year - The Acceptable Year of the Lord and the Beginning of Yeshua's Preaching...
      (Matt 12:1 [KJV])
At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
      (Mark 2:23 [KJV])
And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
      (Luke 6:1 [KJV])
And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
YHVH commanded that the ground remain fallow in the Sabbath / Jubilee Years and what was wild and grew up of its own accord was free to the Poor, the Orphans, the Widows and the strangers in the land... The same is when a Jubilee Year arrived (50th), Ground fallow, Wild Barley - Wheat - Fruits...
I have always thought that David & Solomon could be likened to Preacher Kings of Righteousness - AKA The Melek Tsadiq - Melchizedek etc... David certainly fulfilled Jacobs blessing over Judah at age 30 reigning over the land of Judah / Jerusalem - This was the 63rd Jubilee Year of the Restoration of ALL THINGS, and is what your verse reminds me of...
      (Gen 49:10 [KJV])
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Interesting also that the first King was a Benjamite, How did that happen...? Was Saul a chosen King of Righteousness or Popularity...?
David & Solomon had 40 Year reigns - (40 the number of Great Sorrow/Mourning), and many faults between them... They really didnt live a long time compared to those not long before them... Its kind of hard to say if they were M.Z. or not...? David certainly had much insight given about the future & YHVH / Yeshua, and Solomon was the Wisest of All... No doubt all his wisdom originally shared from David... Maybe they were more King / Fleshly than Spiritual / Righteous at times...??? They Flip Flop...
It seems also to me that the Order of the M.Z. were all Patriarchs in the lineage up to Isaac & Jacob... Seems also that the first 12 Preacher Kings will be half of the 24 Elders that sit around Yeshua in the Heavenly Place...
      Blessings...!

At the siege of Jericho the whole nation surrounded the walled city and let out a cry. I imagine 1-2 million (or more!) women not just screaming but warbling in the style of the Hamite/Shemite cultures as heard today vocalized by women. Ululation: The Hebrew word for this vocal ululation is "tsahalulim" (Hebrew: צהלולים). I imagine the sound would be immensely resonant and perhaps was a factor in the collapse of the walls. Not to take away from the miracle of Elohim but, I am always of the opinion that Yah uses the framework and design of His creation to perform His will. Otherwise it is magic and not a miracle. That would be like if a pianist made a grand piano to perform a concert and then used a little Casio keyboard to play his concerto.

Because the Scriptures are written in Hebrew language and Hebrew cultural context, it's sometimes hard for direct line Western thinkers to understand the "meandering" of a less direct line (direct line - A to B no stops in between or going to look down a side alley or smell the flowers).
As well as this, Hebrew thought/worldview is in clash with Greek philosophical world view.
Hence the popularity of the Hebrew Roots movement which is trying to move into a more Hebrew thinking stream.

No, if you have any idea who the J ws are.
They were speaking Hebrew to each other.
Christ would have spoken Aramaic sparingly, and most likely to the Samaritans and northern galileans, Jordan river area. Yet this isn't even relevant.. Christ spoke Hebrew because He was the High Priest, and King of Israel.
Speaking Greek is nonsensical as the leaders of Israel that served Rome were all Either from Israel or the surrounding area. And Christ only came in contract with Roman's a few times.
Herod was an edumean (not israelite, yet even Pontius Pilot was fluent in Hebrew) He was also the Final Prophet, He was also fulfilling all prophecy. Hebrew is the only way to do this. greek was also corrupt as a language of a pagan nation. A Holy God would rarely speak using it.

I'm shocked as to why some people here are inventing this theory of Christ couldn't have spoken Greek.
Are they forgetting that this is the same Jesus that His parents took to Egypt and sojourned there for a number of years that even the Gospel writers did not tell us how long they were in Egypt for? Do this same ppl know that in Egypt at that time, circa 15AD Coptic Greek was a widely spoken lingua franca ? This is our miracle working Son of God (Christians), who at times had the Power to even know what people were thinking in their minds without uttering the words, this is the same Alpha and Omega who worked hand in hand with the Holy Spirit that fell on over 3000 Men and Children on the day of Pentecost and they all spoke in languages that were not even in their local tongues.
Those denying and inventing their own theories about Jesus should deceist from it cos the Word says "For every idle word man may speak, they'll give account of it on the day of judgement"
Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek (John 19:19,20).

Talking about being made a servant by the Living El, wether you like it or not!
    ...
We all know Nehemiah is on His way to accepting the stripes of Messiah Ben Yosef. And I'm glad to know this subject dont hold ground between myn and Nehemiah's brotherhood in YHVH. He's my brother...And what happend at the Holocaust has now happend to OUR people THRU Yeshua. Epharim is becoming the fullness/maturity of the Gentiles. So, this is the character of a true TORAH follower---WOW! so the WORD TORAH become flesh is saying--Be like Me! Also Blessed by YEHOVAH is...in all 11 verses and not having that hides the blessings promised from YEHOVAH in TORAH! In English though, happy does not derive form the connection of Blessed as Blessed does in our Christian minds as blessings come from YEHOVAH and happy can be anything or event?
