    Finally a 12 inch rear wheel. Welcome to 2014, Honda!

    • @shivamarya5225
      @shivamarya5225 Месяц назад +1

      Smaller wheels other use are for range. Bigger wheels are for traction and stability that's why bikes use bigger wheels

    • @akupegu1622
      @akupegu1622 Месяц назад +1

      @shivamarya5225 scooters across globe use wheels larger than 14 inches, bigger wheels are not only for motorcycles. The range issue is a valid point but the effect is only marginal. If Honda doesn't know how to do a perfect balance between comfort and mileage, then we are stupid to keep buying their products.

    • @shivamarya5225
      @shivamarya5225 Месяц назад

      @@akupegu1622 because they are also much larger, heavier maxi scooter, and range is a big issue, it's like 5-10% difference plus more rubber is more comfortable for suspension. That's why Ola, Ather and everyone else will offer really small wheels, 12 is already bigger than most. If wheels because they're for top speed, that's it, bigger wheels help achieve high top speed because engine can have low rpm at same speed, it's also good for traction while turning. That's it, smaller wheels turn easily and are more comfortable, all its competitors only offer much smaller

    • @shivamarya5225
      @shivamarya5225 Месяц назад

      @@akupegu1622 I don't think you know much about it. Smaller wheels better for acceleration, mileage and comfort. Bigger wheels are better for top speed, traction and braking

    • @akupegu1622
      @akupegu1622 Месяц назад +1

      @shivamarya5225 when it comes to motorcycles, smaller wheels make the bike more easy to manoeuvre, sprocket with less teeth make the acceleration quicker. Scooters have a belt drive mechanism, so the logic is different. Bigger wheels may or may not hurt ride quality, as suspension tuning is also a difficult task, but the drop in mileage is obvious. Bigger wheels do hurt the ride quality in cars. But when it comes to scooters, 12 inch wheels can glide over potholes while the ones with 10 inch wheels will crash through them causing more discomfort.

      For middle-class Indian customers who are trying to cut expenses.
      Rural Indian customers who don't have a dealer /swaping station near every home/destination
      WILL NOT BUY
      Few units of electricity is not a problem for Indian customers who are trying to bring down monthly expenses,
      It's not a big problem to charge from home or hostel , it's cheaper than battery rental and petrol.
      Home docking/ charging we need. And I'm sure honda is done the same. After all they have taken long time in R&D

    There'll be no issue with swapping scaling with Honda because of tons of service centers but The issue is under seat storage, most people buy a scooter for storage so they can do their work in traffic without taking the car out. No Charging option will be a problem for tier 2/3 cities because it's cheaper & hesitation-free.

      exactly my thoughts. Currently people are preferring convinience of scooters just because of the underseat storage. Also like ola they should have utilised the footwell for putting more batteries and also have 2 places for swappable batteries , with that people could get more range or bootspace whatever they fancy whenever. This was a missed chance for a company like Honda which searches for golden goose products to milk the Indian market. I hope with the sane minds Indians don't look on it. Although they still will.

    Remember folks these are the first gen (public experiment at your expense)Honda scooters . Let a few Gen pass by to get a stable product.
    I want the Activa-e and their upcoming electric (Bikes and scoots,check their website) to succeed, but having no boot for 3KW compared to its worthy competitor like iQube & Ather. Plus limited swaping network, remember it cant be charged at home.
    And QC 1 with such slow charging.
    Just... Just....Give it all (Boot space, Fast and slow charge etc ) and charge a bit more premium. People WILL f***n buy it!
    Ehhh Honda .....

    Please suggest an EV scooter which MUST HAVE
    1- Removable battery
    2- enough underseat space for helmet
    3- Good range (atleast 120km)
    Budget not an issue. Preferably a reputable brand
    Thanks

      If removable batteries are a must, you could look at the Hero Vida V2 series. However, if you are okay with a fixed-battery scooter, you could evaluate the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta.
