love the styling. Big fan of the simplicity of retro bikes. Modern one have sooo many angles and edges, it often looks like a mess to me. But would agree with the consensus, needs to be bigger and more mileage to compete with big bikes, since you have to get a license anyway.
nice looking motorcycle/scooter. Glad to see some low cost city scooters which break into motorcycle speeds. I really don't want to be stuck in city bike lanes at 20 mph which is all Sur-Rons and Class 2 bikes can do legally. I don't mind a little more paperwork to break into the next tier of riding. Sure it may not be liked by all, but this market is quickly growing with many different options.
Thanks for making this video! I noticed there isn't a kickstand on any models or show pieces. I'm assuming they will implement this at some point otherwise it would be really annoying parking the bike without one
which no clutch and it's size, it's competing with scooters. If it's more than a Grom or a Navi I'm not sure why people will pick this other than the fact that they would just have money burning up in their pocket. Very cool to look at, but depending on price it could fail amazingly.
Yeah, it's a hard sell for the majority of people I think. I think Super73 is betting on their die-hard ebike fans to pick these up and those that want a Grom-styled bike that is electrical. Not sure though. 🤷♂
@@ElectricRidesUT those die hard fans I see riding super 73 bikes don't like wearing helmets and don't have M-licenses. I want this to succeed, and I have an M-license. But I also see a lot of bikes that could be had in that under $10k price range they've advertised. I guess I'm saying it'll all depend on price. Looks like a very easy bike to get people riding, but it still has some hurdles the casual fans may not be down for.
@@Saucey65 ^^THIS. COMPLetely agree. Most the idiots on s73’s or suron types wears no safety gear and blazes thru crowded parks and bike path walk ways. They aint thinkn bout getting an M lic insurance registration. If they do its gonna a sports bike not this kindergarten stuff
The additional costs associated to owning a motorcycle along with a fixed battery completely kill it's viability compared to an ebike. Electric systems are great for city usage and this model eliminates various advantages such as lane filtering ability, pushing through stops, and parking costs/fines. This model will not only cost more, but it will force you to be slower with point a to b times compared to an ebike.
You can not rev an electric motorcycle, not hear the roar, and feel the thunder. And in electric motorcycles, it will deplete the stored energy more pending on weight, how steep the hills and mountains, and passing speeds, and in cold weather it will loose power whether you ride it or not. And the heat and elevation will affect how the bike performs. I love riding motorcycles and my e-bikes. I would know.
I expect that the C1X will be at least a bit quicker off the line than the Metacycle. The Sondors uses a rear hub motor and the Super73 will have a mid-drive..but who knows!
If the price is close to that 10,000 it's a failure..gas powered bikes seems to still be in the lead vs battery..for example the Honda Grom is a better buy in my opinion..it would cost less than this bike and could get more miles on a full tank
If they want to sell a bunch, they need to target the Honda Grom era for price. They don’t really need to make it highway capable to 75mph. Mini motos are not and still sell like crazy.
Completely agree - not sure if they are going for wide-spread adoption or just wanting to sell enough of these to break even or make a small profit. 🤷♂️ I still think a Surron style road or off-road bike would have been infinitely more popular.
I love this bike I just prey they don’t over price it like there other bikes . But if they keep it around 6000 and no more than 8k I could probably see me buying the C1X.
As more time passes the more I feel they'll be pricing it around 10k. Unfortunately, overpricing is kinda Super73's thing. Their RX Malibu is almost $5k lol
@@bendelacruz2918 To what end, though? They're a ebike company, so unless they plan to further expand into full fledged e-motorcycles - getting people into that market wouldn't really help them very much.
This is a e motorcycle. No longer e-bike. They were doing okay with the moped e-bikes but the competition is growing. The fun part was getting away with not needing a license plate and insurance. But there’s a niche market for this.
Awful design and colors on the fairings. You can only charge it at home, and I do a lot of riding up to 120 miles plus at times in the country, and mountains. Electric vehicles have to work harder and get hotter the faster you take them, or on steep hills and mountains. Will this have ANTILOCK BREAKING? And the bike is too quiet, making it silent to car traffic and will end up hitting the biker.
I'm hoping the color options are still in development as well. They updated their website to show a black/white/dark gray combo that, to me, looks a lot better.

It's starting to grow on me.
Reserved mine, but hoping for anything under $7k 🙏🏻
Nice! Have they let you guys that have reservations any new info?
@@ElectricRidesUT I did mine about a month ago, but nothing yet. They stated they would send updates, surveys, and a surprise or two through email. 👀
7k would still be a lot for one set mini bike
Super 73 sells bikes for 3k that have features and specs of a 1500 bike..with that being said don’t be surprised when they want 8-10k for that C1X
You are definitely right about that. Super73 seems to sell a brand/image equally as much as they sell ebikes.
The bike looks retro/cool definitely a buy imo .. but we need more miles range …. At least 150 no less
to be honest i think thats the least biggest problem sir....😂

At least you wouldn't have to worry about the roving bands of marauders looking for gas lol

really super 73 C1X has sporty look and give pride to ride
Make a Suron copy just design towards the street to give a point of difference in tyres ect.
Definitely what I would have preferred - Knowing Super73 though - they'd make a Surron clone and price it at $8,000 anyway lol.

Yeah, this is just the concept version. You can see there is no side mirrors either. Since this bike will be road legal, when put out for production.
@@133keekee That's my assumption as well. I assume it will be a standard long motorcycle style kickstand but they haven't given a lot of details yet.

This segment of eBikes can also become a gateway for people to acquire their M 🏍️ license, which is in part Super 73’s strategy here.
