      blackdranzer1 yeah but probably only temporarily. Hero’s were in a state of emergency looking for stain and calling in backup to look for stain. All those extra hero’s and patrols would have discouraged normal crime until stain they went back to normal working order. Then I imagine they’d go back to normal

    • @darencolby1916

      kamron spencer but by that logic, even the peace brought on by All Might was temporary. Temporary peace and drop in crime rate is still peace. That’s crimes that would have happened that didn’t.

    • @kamronspencer4910
      @kamronspencer4910 4 года назад +24

      Daren Colby it was temporary. It crumbled the second he stopped being able to do what he was doing. If you wanna create lasting peace you need to take actions and set up systems you and others can follow forever. Stains peace is especially not valid though because he’s killing innocent people also trying to maintain peace for like 4 weeks to a month of slightly more peace maximum.

    • @blackdranzer1
      @blackdranzer1 4 года назад +6

      kamron spencer do you think that some “state appointed thugs” are going to deter any petty criminals compared to the “Hero Killer” someone who’s actually killing the weak heroes for a greater cause, you’re forgetting a key detail of this world: All Might is the only “Hero” that villains and criminals are actually scared of the rest are just “fakes” as Stain says.

    the problem with Stain's philosophy: it was about people having "imperfect" motivations. But the Universe does not care about your motivations. If the city is burning, and you are a hero, it doesn't matter whether you're in it for fortune and fame or faith or anything else-- all that matters is that YOU ARE THERE.

    • @filosfilos4572
      @filosfilos4572 4 года назад +40

      I wholeheartedly agree, but self-sacrifice is a more effective drive than desire for success, as simply wanting to be rich, popular and famous won't always compel you to sacrifice what's important to you to save what's important to others.
      I don't know if this is exactly what Stain was thinking, but in a society of heroes that won't help civilians when they are sure they'll lose their life or something else of equal value, innocent lives will be lost, while self-proclaimed heroes will keep living to cash in their next wage. This reasoning is often seen in people who have seen soneone dear to them die while the authorities hesitated because of bureaucracy or other inherently useless crap.

    • @200subchallengewnovideos9
      @200subchallengewnovideos9 4 года назад +17

      @scott overholt Yes but money have driven humans wayyy more to bad than good. Also Stain is correct the only way humans listen is if you take action and they can SEE it. Power, Action, And Fear are the most effective ways to get people to listen. Even people who try using different ways to get others to listen usually agree that power, action, and fear is the most effective.

    • @treycotter1917
      @treycotter1917 3 года назад +5

      @@200subchallengewnovideos9 But you realize that Stain isn't actually accomplishing anything, right? He can think that these heroes are fake and all and are doing it for the money, that's great and all, but they're still doing the job of saving people. So he's murdering people who would've prevented innocent people from getting murdered, and the fact that heroes are getting murdered, is just going to result in an influx of more heroes as they try and respond. We saw this after All Might retired. Also Scott is right, when talking about a paying job, profit motive is more than likely going to lead to higher quality performance in a job because you have more incentive to actually try at your job. So whether or not you agree with his flawed ideology, there's absolute no way you can justify what he's doing, it's one of the most counter productive stupid things I've seen.

    • @200subchallengewnovideos9
      @200subchallengewnovideos9 3 года назад +7

      @@treycotter1917 actually he did and even good guys acknowledged him. And just money is a terrible reason. So if something happens and the heroes can be paid enough most of them will stop helping people. The heroes that died that could've saved someone there's a high chance of that someone being saved by a different hero. Heroes even attack or disable other heroes by trapping them or getting eachother stuck so that one of them gets more fame. Also I never justified him killing people is ok. But Stain had already tried using his voice nobody listened so he's taking action and now people are actually listening. Taking ACTION is one of the most effective ways to be heard and listened too. Even heroes listened and agreed to Stain. Look at the BLM protests that a huge example of taking action to be heard. Sadly for Stain he didn't have many people around him or ppl who cared about him. If heroes do everything for money when a huge fight happens and they can't get paid since they are rebuilding or a economic decline more than half the heroes would quit. Which is exactly why money and fame is a bad reason to do things

    If there is someone interested, there is a fan fic series called "Blank Canvas", where Stain convinces Midoriya that he can be a hero without a quirk and so he goes on. Chizome becomes sort of a mentor figure to him, as much as he can being a villain and Izuku being a hero. He goes as far as saying Izuku is more of a true hero than All Might after seeing how far he goes. Honestly, the fic is funny, heartwarming, sad, awesome and needs more recognition. Take a look.

    do you wanna know how I know that stain's philosophy really resonated with people? We are still quoting him in 2021. He didn't even show up for a long time in the anime or in the manga. And yet, his words are still being quoted by us and by the characters in BNHA. While I don't think killing every hero that isn't All Might is right, I do think that Stain's philosophy, even though extreme, was very necessary for hero society to finally confront its issues. Hero Society needs to be broken before it restarts.

    Stain is an extension of All Might. Bundled and wrapped in violence since, he never achieved a high status so that people can take him seriously. His view on the world, heroes and people in all of their essence, is absolutely the best view, imo - it's utopic and that's where his contradiction starts - or at least, matches my ideals and points of view.
    Stain is the All Might of brutal acts and methods hut still, following the same trail as All Might, in its core. He can be viewed as All Might's mirror but from a darker lens.

    One thing I love about MHA is that all heroes are professional, no matter why they became a hero, whether it's for money or fame, they all take their job seriously and are willing to sacrifice their live to save others, which makes Stain's ideology actually debatable and questionable, there's no clear cut.
    It's not like One Punch Man where the whole "fake hero" argument is so in your face. In MHA hero is a job, so of course people who are bad will probably be fired, if Stain is in One Punch Man I would actually root for him to kill all the tax-wasting jerks.

    A fair interpretation of Stain, incapable of seeing the shades of grey in any situation, he can only see Black or White. This is the tragedy of a remarkable character going off the deep end into insanity.
    How much of his original beliefs exist anymore? Would he even judge his previous inspiration (& guide to the epitome of what a hero should be) *All Might* as being too lenient?
    His *_ravings_* may have been carefully edited into a famous online video (in universe), but I really doubt that many of his fans would enjoy (or survive) the experience of meeting the real him...

      Brandon Maher The Iida family have a family tradition to become the next Ingenium. So when Tensei went down, he wanted Iida to become the next ingenium.
      Instead of being the next Ingenium to make your wealthy family proud, be your own hero with an other identity, and do it to save people. Or end up like Tensei.
      That’s what I think of why Stain did what he did

    • @faustcrowley1304
      @faustcrowley1304 4 года назад +1

      As far as I understood it Stain targeted Ingenium because of the "Fake hero" belief he has. Ingenium's family make money off their work of being heroes whilst saving people and in Stain's mind that makes you a fake hero. Yes that should not matter as both those that get paid and those just saving people because its right are heroes however to Stain only one of those two instances is a proper hero and as thus he attacked and paralyzed him.
