Twice has probably one of the most interesting backstories in the show like dang losing control over his copies and living his life thinking he might be a clone hot damn
shigaraki's backstory is always so sad to me because not only did he go through the guilt of accidentally killing his family, he didn't even get to heal and grow past it because right after he was essentially groomed by all for one into becoming a tool for his plans to take down hero society
@grace k. Honestly, I thought I was the only one that understood this. How do you expect for him not to become a villain? He never had anyone show him a good example in his life. Its madness when your are in danger and people are there to help you but they just won't. It would have made more sense if it was just him and his father and no one was there to help him. His entire family didn't do a thing and you want him to turn out fine?!
More like respect and need each other to make their own goals come true lol. I don’t think Tomura cares about them that much but he needs them to help him achieve his goal. Dabi also said he doesn’t care about Tomura. It’s just beneficial to team up I’m sure I’d they succeeded and got what they all wanted the group would probably disband and most of them would just go their own separate ways.
@@watergirl929 I slightly agree on this. I read up until vol 24, 25, so I'm not that far yet, but from what I've read, I think shiggy cares. Dabi, I think hes like bakugo. He pretends like he doesn't care, but he does.
I think personally that they originally it may have been a alliance for the cause strength in numbers, but as they developed they've grown attached. Twics and toga both people who's quirks tear at them and have left they're minds broken and bent, but care for each other and would seek to at least ease the other's suffering, both broken slowly helping heal each other and be that rock. Dabi betrayed by the one he called father while he may not call shigaraki friend he sympathizes and respects him. Kurogiri and shigaraki been together since the start thick as thieves, they balance each other out lending help to one another and both knowing the great legacy of one for all, if Kurogiri died shigaraki would be shaken. Compress the quick wit and trusting associate, he cares deeply for his comrades seeing them as his troupe when big sis mag fell he leapt into the fray, a man who cares for associates and has grown quite fawn of them. Shigiraki hated them at first seeing them as a stain of Stain (see what I did there) but later calling them comrades than friends, when he big sis mag died it hurt him and when compress lost his arm it did too. He went out of his way to get vengance for big sis mag by making sure that Kai's plan would die along with his quirk. He has grown to lead and care for those under his banner. For they are the league of villains. Oh and Shuichi is I don't know there, honestly just fuck Shuichi he has no development and is useless and style is dumb, all my homies hate Shuichi.
I've learned this over and over again in shows: *the villans always have the most interesting back stories* I feel like none of them are actually "bad guys" They were just mistreated then actual bad people influenced them at a time that they were vulnrable to that.
Yeah, like, the way they care for each other in the league too is so wholesome, they trully care about their friends and see themselves as a family Toga wants to be free to love in the only way she knows Spinner wants a society that doesn't mistreat him for what he looks like Magne wanted to be free to be herself in a society that still has transphobia Compress wanted to give the wealth to the poor for a more just society Twice just wants friends and a society that doesn't treat the mentally ill as a lost cause Dabi wants a fair world where people like his father are no where to be seen Shiggy is Shiggy, he's a bit complex to resume unlike the others but he does have shown compassion towards the league and to be a quite nice guy if he wants to be
Well Touya yea 100% bad parenting he became what he is because of his father’s neglecting him calling him a failed experiment and just giving up on him entirely after Shoto was born. It’s entirely Endeavors fault he ended up this way. Tenko idk I mean yeah his father was pretty abusive and definitely caused him trauma but the biggest thing that caused him to go insane was he accidentally killed his entirely family because he couldn’t control his quirk which wasn’t really anyone’s fault it was an accident and he went insane from guilt from his own mistake that wasn’t really his parents fault. And Toga no her parents didn’t do a thing she was just born a crazy psychopath lol
@@watergirl929 her parents put her in a program to control her quirk and then proceeded to call her a monster and told her to "be normal " when she was a child. No one is born crazy. Her parents just never gave her the opportunity to explore her quirk. And we know that other people have the same quirk similar to hers like stain and the class 1-b teacher so their probably was a way to use her quirk in a no threatening way. (Before Stain became a villain he was a hero in training but dropped out)
Yep, he's basically just a kid who was failed by the hero society he lives in which couldn't even manage to save one child on the street, but was then saved by a villain. A villian had technically just done a good deed heroes were unable to do. And now, all he he wants to do is to destroy that hero society and wipe the slate clean. In a way, he's simular to Deku: they both want to fix society. They differ in their approach though. Deku wants to fix society's problems by working from what has already been built up, while Shigaraki just wants to start all over. Although, this may be reading into it a little too much and Shigaraki actaully just wants to destroy things for fun instead...idk.
I used to hate the league as nothing more than just kids who were getting by on luck and street cred. But overtime I have gotten to respect them a lot more. Mainly because they are doing everything the heroes aren’t. They’re are trying to become stronger by themselves and are uniting everybody under their creed. They’ve gone from a group of nobodies to a group of demented people that were unfortunately failed by society.
I know, keep in mind he was still a kid . He does not even have the mental compacity too process that him, as a kid killed his entire family. honestly i feel so bad for him.
Ikr I feel the exact same, since the manga with Aizawa and Shirakumo when they were younger is so underground not many people are interested in it. Personally I hope they include Aizawa's backstory in season 5.
Thanks mate been waiting for a vid like this, the Villains are just as good as the heroes. And u can't blame the Villains for what they do to an extent because like u said they're victims, in a Broken society mind you
The big thing is though, they are only lashing out to society and making other people their victims. They are understandable and enjoyable, but their actions are still not justifiable since just leads to more violence and in the end it's counter productive to improving society... but again that's what villains do, so I'm all for the entertainment while not excusing it. lol
As much as I love to humanize people who do bad things, I gotta disagree. Take Shoto for example. Kid was regularly abused and isolated by his father. The only other contact he really had was his mother, who was constantly breaking down because of his father’s abuse to her, to the point where she broke and poured boiling water on Shoto’s face. After that, it was total isolation with his abusive father. All that and he still chose to be a hero. Pretty much everyone besides Toga and Shigaraki had the choice. Shigaraki has the choice now, but they all choose over and over again to harm the people around them and degrade society. I still see them as people and they’re definitely not monsters, but you can definitely blame them.
I think he's not powerful enough to do that, idk alone at least, he's rated as a B rank villain (shigaraki is S rank as well as all for one and kurogiri, the rest of the league is B or C ranks) meaning he's power is around average dabi's body can't handle his quirk, while endeavors can, so I think he couldn't win against him also, endeavor is trained pro hero, Dabi has never really gotten professional training etc, It would be cool tho
@@vilja9332 Touya hasn't done much of anything at all when it comes to fighting, we actually seen clones of him doing most of the work which are weaker than the real thing. Remember his flames are stronger than endeavor and he has like 10+ years to get stronger. Besides, Endeavor has major death flags so it makes sense for Touya to kill him.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens near the end of series for the very last obstacle for Shoto to deal with before becoming a professional hero. It will be his final battle of the series to avenge his father.
@@sochi3614 lmao it’s fine to think that I want it to happen to he is the one who caused Touya to become what he is now as well as the cause of the rest of his family’s trauma! I like how the league are the way they are simply because of their quirks or their family, whilst most of the heroes literally choose to be heroes for fame or money
@@miyachinen4344 Yup. In my opinion, Shigaraki's backstory crossed the line when a doggo was harmed. Twice's was bad too, don't get me wrong, but the *doggo was cute*
I have a question So when all might was with AFO in prison. Afo stated he can’t even think about quirks or the guns will shoot him. So how did AFO do what he did in the war arc?! Shouldn’t the guns have shot him
He meant if they saw him trying to use his quirks they would shot him.If the heroes had technology that can read mind, the mha world would be way different.
Technically they do have monitor on those machine guns that scan his brainwaves. If he tries to activate his quirks the guns will detect it and open fire. Or at least, that’s what they are supposed to do. And as for the control, I believe that AFO has a telepathic link to his quirk that does not require him to actually use his quirk. That and we don’t know the full extent of what the doctor did to shigaraki in the tank.
I know they call themselves ‘the League of *Villains* ‘ but most of them have incredibly harsh backgrounds like Tenko(Tomura) for example he killed his entire family by accident and was abused by his dad who hated that Tenko’s grandmother was a hero and died as one(Tenko’s grandmother was Nana who was also Toshinori’s master and the 7th holder of One for All)
Toga has one of the best backstory because it shows a lot about their world. What if you have a Quirk that's generally frowned upon. I mean, her quirk requires her to drink a lot of blood. Who would want to have someone like that. She didn't have a healthy way to cope with her emotions and was basically told that she should act normal which is weird considering normal doesn't apply to their world anymore. She did try her best to be "normal" thought but she eventually snapped. Her story proves that having a quirk wasn't always a good thing.
The thing about these villains is that they turn to the league for a place to feel normal in a away and being with people like them unique and different. It's actually sad and the thing is that these people turn to crime because of quirks something that made them feel that they aren't normal and cause a lot of problems leading them to be villains. But yea idk I just find that sad.
Dabi's story breaks my heart. I could never bring myself to remotely like or even respect Endeavor. Too much of his family has to pay for his selfish obsession.
*all for one is about to finish deku but he starts decaying and loses his left arm* Shigaraki: THIS IS MY PLANET *starts attacking all for one none stop until he is barely alive* Shigaraki: Looks like a temporal truce is what we need all I want is to be back in charge besides what would a hero be without his villain Deku: time to find out *puts his face mask on*
the fact that aizawa and shigaraki are enemies but the only person in the world that can actually be touched by him without being decaed is aizawa, gotta love the parallels

I want to know what happened to Dabi after the fire and I also want to see the backstory and return of more villains such as Muscular, Mustard, Moonfish etc.

What about Ochako?
@@InvestedGman oh I don't know the same goes for Tsuyu
*The boy in Toga's flashback looked like Deku for sure* (and that seemed to be intentional) so that's another big reason she likely was interested in Deku as well (besides him looking beat up). She just saw Deku and instantly liked him since he was also a reminder of her first crush too, rather than it being just the MC randomly being a girl magnet with people randomly liking him... at least it makes more sense. lol
@@InvestedGman Toga liked Uraraka since she noticed Uraraka liked someone (later she realized it was Deku) and also wanted to be connected to someone that she wanted to relate to (for a sense of normalcy). Toga is a dark parallel with Uraraka as Shigaraki is with Deku. Toga wants to have regular things like girl talk about crushes, but she can't due to her not being able to intergrate normally into society.

They all deserved it other then his dog anyway
@grace k. Honestly, I thought I was the only one that understood this. How do you expect for him not to become a villain? He never had anyone show him a good example in his life. Its madness when your are in danger and people are there to help you but they just won't. It would have made more sense if it was just him and his father and no one was there to help him. What i like about the league of villains it that yeah they're villain but they still care for each other.
Toga really cares about twice I think
@@watergirl929 shigaraki literally wanted to treat them to sushi when Mr. Compress mentioned that it was his favourite dish.

*the villans always have the most interesting back stories*
I feel like none of them are actually "bad guys"
They were just mistreated then actual bad people influenced them at a time that they were vulnrable to that.
Because that's what is usually realistic.
Yeah, like, the way they care for each other in the league too is so wholesome, they trully care about their friends and see themselves as a family
Toga wants to be free to love in the only way she knows
Spinner wants a society that doesn't mistreat him for what he looks like
Magne wanted to be free to be herself in a society that still has transphobia
Compress wanted to give the wealth to the poor for a more just society
Twice just wants friends and a society that doesn't treat the mentally ill as a lost cause
Dabi wants a fair world where people like his father are no where to be seen
Shiggy is Shiggy, he's a bit complex to resume unlike the others but he does have shown compassion towards the league and to be a quite nice guy if he wants to be
They remind me of Eugene Black from arby n' the chief
nah they are bad guys
I think Toga, Tenko and Touya are the perfect example of bad parenting. However Toga is the only person who has shown any intention of changing so....
No it's bad parenting. Suppressing your child isn't a good thing
@@zozobegone2.076 Yeath that's what I'm saying. If she had been treated differently... Then maybe things wouldn't be like this
She likes to drink blood of her loves ones, but she didn't attempt to attack Twice, so Twice changed her life, but he went far away for her 😔
Well Touya yea 100% bad parenting he became what he is because of his father’s neglecting him calling him a failed experiment and just giving up on him entirely after Shoto was born.
(Before Stain became a villain he was a hero in training but dropped out)
I feel like there's more to shigaraki than we think
Of course you think that, you're just like him... Dabi!!!

I honestly feel bad for shirakumo plus aizawa. Imagine learning that your dead best friend was expriemented and was turned into a nomu.
Ikr I feel the exact same, since the manga with Aizawa and Shirakumo when they were younger is so underground not many people are interested in it. Personally I hope they include Aizawa's backstory in season 5.
Kurogiri has the most of my respect like gentle criminal and la brava.
When the "villains" aren't really the villains. The stories hit so hard, it made me cry.
they are the villains
It made me cry though and I'd never ever see them as villains but *Hypocritic murderers who can't move on* 😢
Thanks mate been waiting for a vid like this, the Villains are just as good as the heroes.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Mha proves that villains aren’t born bad they are turned bad because of certain experiences in their lives
I think Touya is gonna end up killing his father by the end of this I can see this happening
I think he's not powerful enough to do that, idk alone at least, he's rated as a B rank villain (shigaraki is S rank as well as all for one and kurogiri, the rest of the league is B or C ranks) meaning he's power is around average
dabi's body can't handle his quirk, while endeavors can, so I think he couldn't win against him
also, endeavor is trained pro hero, Dabi has never really gotten professional training etc, It would be cool tho
I can’t wait for that to happen like it’s horrible to think but I want Enji Todoroki to perish.
@@sochi3614 lmao it’s fine to think that I want it to happen to he is the one who caused Touya to become what he is now as well as the cause of the rest of his family’s trauma! Every time I hear their back stories I wanna cry they all had such big dreams and such a bad hand in life... though it's unforgivable with what they still do you can't help but feel sad for them if they all had the proper help this wouldn't have happened although idk if there was even an option for tomura to have a normal life a quirk like that is hard to handle not to mention the quirks desire after manifestation.
this explains why every time the hand on shigaraki face falls, he says “im sorry papa”
“Why should I apologize for being a monster? Has anyone ever apologized for turning me into one?”
Now this is something I am
Interested in. Not a whole lot of information about the league yet. I love this
one of the best things about this series I love it just just give heroes a spot to shine in the sun but it gives attention to the villains as well showing that the Creator knows his stuff giving equal screen time to both the antagonist and protagonist it keeps you very interested and that's one of the best parts of my era academia it's never boring and it keeps you wanting more and season 5 is going to come this March and we're going to see all of this on in animated form I can't wait for it and I know I'm not the only one too.

I have a question
So when all might was with AFO in prison. Afo stated he can’t even think about quirks or the guns will shoot him. So how did AFO do what he did in the war arc?! Shouldn’t the guns have shot him
I was thinking the same
I think he was talking about if he thought about activating his quirk he would be shot.
@@xx_legend27_xx9 but that is his quirk tho and he’s controlling shiggy so why he no get shot
So glad that you made this

So that’s why Shigaraki calls that hand on his face “father”
Dabi is my favorite villain. Ever since the beginning. And after watching backstories I love him more
The thing about these villains is that they turn to the league for a place to feel normal in a away and being with people like them unique and different. It's actually sad and the thing is that these people turn to crime because of quirks something that made them feel that they aren't normal and cause a lot of problems leading them to be villains. But yea idk I just find that sad.
Imagine if one day aizawa sees his childhood friend (bestfriend) with league of villains and remembers
