It looks dim because of my setting on my camera. It's plenty bright for a small to medium venue. You have to consider it's source lamp which is a 100w LED. You can't really compare it to a 19x15w because that's 285W Of combined total power. Also wash's do not concentrate the led light, when you concentrate into a beam it's much brighter than a wash. It's 41,500 lux at 16' at its narrowest beam and 115,000 lux at 9'.As a light designer we go by distance needed and light output at that distance so it would really depend on your needs.
@TheatricallyJerry how would you say it compares to a discharge bulb equivalent? I find it hard to shop led compared to discharge. Would you say this would be compatible to a 2r 132w discharge beam? Planning to use this alongside some 19x15w wash’s in a 30x50ft marquee but scared they may not be powerfull enough. But it’s hard to tell from RUclips videos and no one stocks them to demo.
Can you give some more details on the brightness? Looks quite dim in your videos. How would it look compared to say a 19x15w LED wash?
