Great reaction. I love that Marko and Tony Iommi are fans of each other. Reciprocity is a sweet thing! I think you would enjoy Tides from an older Tarot performance. Nightwish Arena has a great remastered video with subtitles and lyrics (Marko's intro is in Finnish). Marko is in total control of the crowd. A quieter Tarot song. There are some interesting videos through Genelec Music Channel of Marko as part of The Powerless Trio. The members are all well known in Finnish metal. They do covers. He is also featured with a lot of groups, including Delain (my favorite is The Gathering at Zeche Bochum 2017 or Masters of Rock 2017), Waltari (it's a behind the scenes, making of), and Mika Jaakkola's Soita (it's in Finnish, about a father's addiction and being taken away by ambulance while the son plays guitar to cope - incredibly rough translation - Mika plays amazing slide guitar, very compelling performance by Marko).
I don't think you've done either of the 2 popular Marko fronted songs yet 🤔 Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red - Wembly The Islander - Tampere (this is fkn awesomeness) Also, their tribute to Pink Floyd at the End of and Era gig - Division Bell. Magnificent version.
This is Marko's current band that played on his latest solo project, Pyre of the Black Heart (available in English and Finnish). There are many covers of this by Marko to look at... one w The Hietala Trio (it's pron: HEE-ah-Tallah) which is him, his brother Sakari on guitar and his son Miro, on drums...its a 30min set of ALL Black Sabbath songs! Another is live at Genelec studios, w Marko, Ari Koivunen and JP Leppaluto. Both great! Songs from his Pyre project are, Stones, Voice Of My Father, and Dead God's Son. Even more highly...I recommend his 1st band, Tarot (also ft. Sakari Hietala on guitar)...song, Tides, live (Undead Indeed)...the vocal will give you chills! We'll guide you from there...
I was 16 and saw Black Sabbath at Newcastle City Hall .Life was never the same after .That was 51 years ago .It is still one of the best gigs I have ever been to .
This one is still on Marko Hietala's setlist and it is still awesome, with the terrific Tuomas Wäinölä on guitar and Anssi Nykänen on drums. Just saw them last weekend in Pratteln, Switzerland.
Well as far as Tarja and Marco singing "Phantom of the Opera" There really only is one. I think it was the End of an Era tour. But no worries this one is real easy to find. Tarja is in a bright yellow dress. I could find the link but lets not test the waters.
Seen black sabbath many years ago, was a lot of fun and they where great, marco really likes older music by great bands and he has a real metal voice God bless
yay Marko!!!!!!!! your question about the new phantom : one of the cell phone videos (luis) was so distracting the audience was so loud, it was close up so fun to see , but the matthi keller version had cleaner sound, not too far away either to see the fun they were having on stage! devil7990 was good too with the perspective better. fans not too distracting. Katja Herrmann version good too!
In 2020 Marco did a couple of casual sets with his brother on lead, and his son on drums playing 5 Black Sabbath songs including War Pigs. This was for the Rock Academy in Finland. I am not a big Sabbath fan, but you may like it. Music runs in the family. Check it out for yourself. All Heitala Power Trio, one of the 2 shows: ruclips.net/video/Pc-OOE6AiJ0/видео.html
Hi😊you are pronouncing Tarja's name so correct🤩 so nice 😄 appreciate 👍 again Greetings from Finland, Turku. This song is awesome! Marko❤ the band❤ thanks for your great reaction and so nice, that you are in to Marko🤩 He is awesome ❤
For Phantom of the Opera your looking for the 2005 version from End of an era, the cell phone version is the latest version which they had no prep and was just for fun. Marko has a very long history of music, if you see 80s Marko you'll be surprise he's morphed into this. His work in Northern Kings was fun since its a superband where they do cover songs, he covered songs like Don't stop Believing and In the Air tonight.
It was 2005 In Helsinki, Hartwall Arena, Finland. Tarja's Last performance with NW. Great concert! The same you did The Pink Floyd Tribute, Not cover. Ps. The PF song was not on The set list. Tarja was changing chlothes and there was a pause, too Long, so Marko said To Tuomas, let's play that PF song. Spontain "filler", not bad💪👍😍
Not a fan of Black Sabbath but I absolutely love Marko. If/When i go see Nighwish i will take a pic at the beginning and at the end. I would be too mesmerized by them and probably would be crying too much to take a video...lol
Well, you know I'm going to love this one. The version of The Phantom of the Opera that you want to look for is Nightwish Phantom of the Opera - official live. it's from the 2005 End of an Era concert. Same concert you got High Hopes from. Further songs from Marko include Dead God's Son - Offical Lyric Video (the concert videos aren't good quality) and The Voice of My Father, also official lyricvideo. Though, I prefer the later in the original Finnish version Isani Aani, for which there is an offical video out. The videos for them are the same but, on the English version, Marko is blurred when singing because, of course, he's singing in Finnish and the words don't synch.
Only do the 2005 End Of An Era concert version, as the recent one, you won’t know the significance until you do all the research necessary for TPATP, and on that recent version the sound quality isn’t brilliant either
Are you serious or just plain stupid? 🤔 😂😢 This is their version of The song at this concert. I've heard dozens of Marko's VERSIONS / Tributes To Black Sabbath. He had a band only playing Sabbath songs, cause he is such a big fan.
I disagree with you. If you're going to react to Black Sabbath you have to react to Black Sabbath, not ease way into it with some cover of it. It's like you have to just rip the band-aid off and do it.
Great reaction. I love that Marko and Tony Iommi are fans of each other. Reciprocity is a sweet thing!

Yes, Marko is a living legend !!!!
And to do this song, is a great tribute to the Legend's themselves that is Black Sabbath !!!! 🤘😎🤘.

I love this rendition!!!!
My favorite Black Sabbath cover is Within Temptation cover of black Sabbath on their black Christmas concert, definitely worth a look.
2004 i saw original black sabbath in helsinki.this version is awesome.
Seen black sabbath many years ago, was a lot of fun and they where great, marco really likes older music by great bands and he has a real metal voice God bless

First time for me that was pretty cool

Tarot (markos band) with the song Tides is beautifull
Stones is nice
Star sand and shadow is amazing

The most unexpected part of all this is that Marko appears to be wearing shoes!

Northern Kings being bit different, he is good all around and has covers and everything like choir stuff. good all around.

Great cover /tribute! They got it right . Thank you for reacting .Greetings from nwAse Sweden

Incredible and loved it . May I invite you to check out the group Delain with Marko Heitala and the song is " Sing to me " . Great tune inho .
Nice cover. Music is flawless. I miss Ozzy's voice though.
Because Marko is the Ronnie James Dio of Finland, I enjoy him singing the Dio-era songs more.... ruclips.net/video/Ewy0VXvXBCM/видео.html
deep purple BURN
MORE COVERS 2 bands 1 video should be a new thing on the channel pls
🫡🇬🇧🏴
The pronounciation of Marko 'Hietala' is (I hope, I get it) is 'He'a'tala'. Try it.
did you do high hopes ? if you didn't you absolutely should.
Only do the 2005 End Of An Era concert version, as the recent one, you won’t know the significance until you do all the research necessary for TPATP, and on that recent version the sound quality isn’t brilliant either
Vocals are too clean though the music was superb. I think it's getting obvious that Marco needs Nightwish.
No he does not. He has a great band, album coming and also so many other bands and projects going on.
Good one, but not as good as the original.
