Always wanted to play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, but this series is so rare & hard to come by, that I had to watch play throughs here on RUclips to see what it was about. And it totally looks like my type of jam. That review that Nintendo Power made for the remake did not do a very good job of explaining what the game was about & its mechanics very well. So I am glad that I will have finally have a chance to play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile when the collection comes out this July! I am happy you liked this game. You made a good review here.
Yeah it's hard to find a place to play it without emulating it or getting it digitally on PS3/Vita, or getting the (imo) slightly inferior Wii version, which is pricey as well. A physical PS1 copy is stupidly expensive so I'm glad they are remaking those games so Klonoa can have a current platform of exposure. Wish they'd include the GBA one as well just for kicks. I'm looking forward to that collection most certainly! Definitely with part 2 as well since I haven't played it. Here's hoping they do the collection justice! This was back in my stoner days😭 Laughed out of my Sit. This review is gold! I agree! Its probably because in the 90s and early 2000s our train of thought was 2d is old and its going backwards sort of speak. I definitely didn't play this myself in my young boy and teen age. It's a really fun game for sure!
Yes exactly! When PS1 came out it was hard to go back to 2D. Weird how this game holds up better compared to other games of the era because it doesn't have those rudimentary 3D controls. I'm looking forward to that Klonoa collection coming out in July!
Yeah that would great! Doesn't happen often but the MediEvil remake did that. It was an unlockable if you collect all of some certain thing. I like when developers do that.
Dude I can always count on you to make the best PlayStation 1 content! It’s crazy how the ps1 version seems to have more pop compared to that Wii remake. I guess because it’s pushing the limits of 2.5d for that era rather. I heard that game pandemonium is great but man....is it ugly!!!
