      Me too. You watch a video and they do a whole lotta talking before they get to the point. I get allot of that when I watch crochet videos. 🙄

    Happy to see actual results instead of a person cutting a Dracaena plant into pieces, sticking them in potting soil and briefly describing what might happen in a couple of weeks.

      It is one of the easiest to propagate.. If you leave the cuttings in a glass of water.. Changing the water every few days.. The roots will come out quickly.. They will start rooting after less than a month..

    I've literally cut ours in half because it was too large for us to take when we moved and it grew to 2ft tall within a year and has babies coming out the soil. Fascinating and hardy plants. We HACKED it in half and it was fine. Lol
    Eta we don't use anything special on it either. Water and regular indoor potting soil. Nothing fancy. No ferts.

      When you cut the top of the plant(which you can repot) it will encourage the plant to grow. You'll notice side shoots starting to grow after about 3 weeks

    I love it! Thank you.
    I left mine out too long on a cold day. (Remodeling my apt)
    They were once bushy an beautiful but now, all sad an leafless. I will try this. But I'm thinking maybe propergate in water. Not sure which way to go. I mean, they're in bad shape ☹

    • @johan_r59
      @johan_r59 3 года назад

      Idk if you ended up propergating in water or soil, or 50/50. I'm wondering what method I should do too. Do you have any advice?

    • @kellydukepoo2450
      @kellydukepoo2450 3 года назад +2

      @@johan_r59 I restarted mine in water and 2 cuttings made it. They're almost ready to be put in soil. The one I left in the pot, I was surprised! I was gonna change soil and throw away the stalk I left in there. Thinking it would die. Life got in the way, next thing I know I see a green dot! New growth was happening! But I think propergating in water works best for me.

      @kellydukepoo2450 Год назад

      @johan_r59 I put mine back in dirt. It's still struggling. I've moved since an there is no good light in the house.
      My bedroom is the only room with food light BUT it's so small I can only fit small ones. I'm getting a plant light in hopes it'll help my plants.

    Will the old stumps grow new plants were you cut them off?

    • @elenagorba9096
      @elenagorba9096 4 года назад

      A 100%. A new growth on the side of the stumps will appear quite soon. Try to Google - you will see. It happens fast. It is like it will grow a new bush on the top. Sometimes people cut everything from the top leaving empty stumps. The new growth appears again in several places, and soon.
