She will come full circle. This unfortunately is a too typical story, raised in a Christian home, it’s easy to not have your own faith but share your parents, never really knowing Christ for yourself. God will not let her go, He will pursue her, and let’s pray her heart stays soft. There will be a point in her life where she will realize we are all Gods creation, like she was taught, and her come back to Christ will be totally life changing for her.
I too love The Inheritance album and have been brought to tears multiple times by it. She has an ethereal and Angelic quality to her voice that is rare. I am sad to see her slipping into some sort of worldly pantheism. It all sounds pretty, but at the base of it there is nothing there. Hope she finds her way back to the gospel.
I think is just exploring her faith and got lost in the process, the world is too big to grasp it, the way she was talking about “deconstruction”, “institutions”, etc make me believe that is is paying attention to some kind of extreme leftist ideas that got her confused…these ideologies got the right questions but terrible answers to all of them. I am all for questioning and looking into what you believe and why you believe. What’s interesting though is if in fact you have come to a place where you deny the gospel, then why keep all the songs and material up? You still profit off of what you claim to not believe. Don’t get me wrong, I love her worship music. It’s some of the best. It’s incredible so I hope she never takes it down. But I always found it interesting to keep it up in the midst of what you claim to believe? Maybe because that was the reason you were created? And this is your best material ever. And therefore it’s timeless and of so much value. You have millions of views on that compared to your new stuff. All very interesting to me. All things aside I’m deeply grateful for Audrey’s time writing and singing worship music. It’s been profoundly impactful for literally millions. Don’t build a life on a false religion but on the true religion that is the gospel of Jesus. His life, death and resurrection. All the scriptures point to this and draw this out. If those songs were composed by her, she must have had a great relationship with God BUT, as much as it may seem wrong, I firmly believe we can be unborn if we stop being grateful for what we are. I think that, eventually, people who tend to think deeply think all of these same things, at some point in their lives. How can you not? I did, definitely. (Not that I'm so much more intelligent than anyone else. I'm not.) My Christian faith remains strong, despite all of that. It's been a weird road. I respect Audrey's intelligence and her creativity so much. Her voice is something other- worldly. It's amazing. Everyone's road is different, and we can all respect each other's journey and give each other grace. She once had a deep rooted faith (although complicated by her upbringing and her own psyche, which is all of our stories, if we are honest, right?), and I think that people who have had that faith once don't ever truly abandon it. I don't know her head or her heart. I just feel something deep within her, and I don't think she will discard it all, somehow.

Sometimes people expect that feelings need to be there in order to believe or have faith. Doubt is essential to genuine faith. Believing she is finite is important to understanding who we are. I disagree . Non thinking about your faith in a deep way makes you gullible and open to losing it. Christinaity is rational and can be rationalised. Faith is trust and leaning on the person of Christ - and not just not non-questioning of anything connected with it. You dig as much as you like.

Hmm. It sounds like part of the problem was that Audrey had a faith that was too vulnerable to being overwhelmed by some basic facts about the universe - such as we humans being small in terms of physical scale within it. But if that is the way God made us, it's actually not a problem. However, what Audrey said sounds like that was a revelation to her - but why? Our mind - given to us by God - can still be precious and important, even if small and finite. One of the lessons we can take from her 'deconstruction' (and that of others) is not to be too rattled if some questions or challenges to our faith don't appear to have instant answers. It may be that we just need to trust that we might take some time to get an answer, or that pursuing an answer of sorts is part of the journey God wants us to take - but NOT taking our eyes off Him in the process, because ultimately if we are small, we can know God is bigger than the questions we raise. Trust Him. All will be revealed in eternity, but giving up as Audrey did is not the answer. I hope she realises the fundamental error she made - in realising her smallness, she did not appear to allow God to still give her enough to live a life in service to Him. I hope she returns in joy very soon without wasting even one more day in this confusion.

According to this scripture you were never really saved. You may have gone to church, and handed out tracks, and worn a cross, but you weren't really saved. This is NOT my opinion but God's word. If you were talking about some other youtuber's opinion, then you could say, "Well, I think..." But we are talking about the ETERNAL, ALL-POWERFUL, CREATOR of the universe. Who says, "Can the gods of the other nations (religions) tell you the future? No! They are mere lifeless idols." But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted. He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. The Bible thousands of years before this, instructed the Israeli soldiers to take a small shovel outside the camp and bury their waste. He is God, we are His creation. This is His world, His universe. He is sovereign. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to His only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.
Audrey, I found the book Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince very freeing, as it presents the gospel in a very a different way, very much opposed to legalistic denominations. As part of your deconstruction/reconstruction of your world view, I think this may help and would highly recommend it.
I wonder how much of "Deconstructing Faith" is simply a response to rejecting religion. Born again at 36, I know it is my faith in God which is real, however unfulfilling my church life may have been. My church experiences these past 19 years, are, indeed a thing to be deconstructed. Churches, unfortunately, seem to be more about division than unity. God is not divided, so why are churches? Coming to the Lord late, as I did, I have often regretted the time I missed with Him, but I think I may have "dodged a bullet" by not having had to deal with "churchiness" and, thankfully, not looking for my worth, or an over-estimation thereof, in a church community. The church I was a member of went out of business after 150 years, though God did not and will not. God lets us know that our faith will be costly. But I consider it a price worth paying. "And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
This is heartbreaking. The bible warns against leaning on your own wisdom: Proverbs 3:5 (ESV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Ecclesiastes 1:18 (ESV) For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

Most of us and I’m talking about Christians and Muslims or Jews or Buddhist or Baha’i or anyone anywhere simply hold on to the faith of our parents. And we do not move on from that. Our faith is more an accident of birth than anything else, and most of us are too afraid to admit that. But God is God and the work of Christ on the cross is the only thing that has saved all of humankind and I mean ALL just as scripture teaches us so let her continue on her journey and let us all not be afraid to ask questions or to acknowledge our doubts. God will not let go of us. He hasn’t let go of Audrey. He won’t let go of you just as he holds onto the Muslim and to the Jew and to the atheist and to all of us. God‘s love is incomprehensible.
She is going through what I went through. Trying to understand a world that I never will. That alone made my mind go into circles for the longest time. Our existence, the why's, how's, what for's. I understood that this planet of full of misery but also full of beauty. That as kind and gentle we can be there is also a dark side. That all of us are capable of building but also of destroying. But most importantly that believing in something is better than believing in nothing. That when the difficult times come we need something or someone to reach out to, to anchor, to ask for help. She looks like a lost soul looking for answers that she may never find. I can see the pain in her eyes. I know it. I've been there. It's a dark place. I grew up Christian. I witnessed the injustice and hypocrisy of leaders but also saw the good that we did for many out there. I opted to believe in a higher power which in my case is God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit. It has nothing to do with religion, or a churche, or denominations. It goes beyond.

When you doubt, choose not to believe what is written. Have faith in the word of God. Not your measly 40+ years of life. Peon brains we have. The scriptures you shared are truth, however, we cannot know her heart. Only God knows the intent and secret things of our hearts. He alone can discern whether or not she is lost or has rejected the Holy Spirit. I pray this isn't the case and for God's merciful conviction to bring her out of darkness. He wishes that none would perish therefore I pray and it's my hope that every brother and sister in Christ would intervene through prayer for her and all those without Christ.

Questioning institutions and organizations and traditions seems just fine to me....but Christ transcends all of those things. As a Christian, i most assuredly see Gods presence in a blade of grass and His Spirit in every breath I take- there's nothing unchristian in that. I really feel this deconstruction stuff is more about people deconstricting what they think the Christian faith is than what Christian faith actually is. The Source, existence, the I AM, the eternal, the Christ, He transcends all our religious conventions and descriptions

These individuals never make sense. You would think that she didn't know that she was on planet Earth, in the Galaxy called the Milky Way, amongst millions of other galaxies while she was a Christian. I wonder if something Joseph Prince teaches is relevant here in that the law (demand) brings death whereas grace and truth (supply) bring life and that well meaning parents ramming law down the throats of their children actually does harm and wounds them, whereas Grace and truth brings life and wholeness. The bible says grace and truth came through Jesus Christ so I suppose this is where the focus should be. I wasn’t brought up in a Christian home my parents were not demanding at all, so I have not been through the trauma of Audrey but it does seem that so many strict religious law based upbringings can cause much harm, for me the permanent gift of righteousness, the law fulfilled for us by Jesus, the abundance of grace, Jesus paying for all our sins, past present and future,, this is the gospel I believe in.

How can it? I've never seen this as any kind of hope. An evil psychopath just becomes as much a part of the legitimate workings of such a universe - same as blade of grass or herself. This unfortunately is a too typical story, raised in a Christian home, it’s easy to not have your own faith but share your parents, never really knowing Christ for yourself. God will not let her go, He will pursue her, and let’s pray her heart stays soft. I too love The Inheritance album and have been brought to tears multiple times by it. She has an ethereal and Angelic quality to her voice that is rare. I am sad to see her slipping into some sort of worldly pantheism. It all sounds pretty, but at the base of it there is nothing there. Hope she finds her way back to the gospel.

I think that, eventually, people who tend to think deeply think all of these same things, at some point in their lives. How can you not? I did, definitely. (Not that I'm so much more intelligent than anyone else. I'm not.) My Christian faith remains strong, despite all of that. It's been a weird road. I respect Audrey's intelligence and her creativity so much. Her voice is something other- worldly. It's amazing. Everyone's road is different, and we can all respect each other's journey and give each other grace. She once had a deep rooted faith (although complicated by her upbringing and her own psyche, which is all of our stories, if we are honest, right?), and I think that people who have had that faith once don't ever truly abandon it. I don't know her head or her heart. I just feel something deep within her, and I don't think she will discard it all, somehow.

Sometimes people expect that feelings need to be there in order to believe or have faith. Doubt is essential to genuine faith. Believing she is finite is important to understanding who we are. So many people want to put God in a box and when they move away from it perhaps they are coming closer to him. Ad majorem Dei gloriam.
She intellectualized her faith. If you do that, you will fall away. As believers we walk by faith and not by sight.

It’s incredibly brave of Audrey to do the difficult work of rethinking her deeply-held beliefs, and to do it so publicly.
Hmm. It sounds like part of the problem was that Audrey had a faith that was too vulnerable to being overwhelmed by some basic facts about the universe - such as we humans being small in terms of physical scale within it. But if that is the way God made us, it's actually not a problem. However, what Audrey said sounds like that was a revelation to her - but why? Our mind - given to us by God - can still be precious and important, even if small and finite.
One of the lessons we can take from her 'deconstruction' (and that of others) is not to be too rattled if some questions or challenges to our faith don't appear to have instant answers. It may be that we just need to trust that we might take some time to get an answer, or that pursuing an answer of sorts is part of the journey God wants us to take - but NOT taking our eyes off Him in the process, because ultimately if we are small, we can know God is bigger than the questions we raise.
Trust Him. All will be revealed in eternity, but giving up as Audrey did is not the answer. I hope she realises the fundamental error she made - in realising her smallness, she did not appear to allow God to still give her enough to live a life in service to Him. I hope she returns in joy very soon without wasting even one more day in this confusion.

According to this scripture you were never really saved. You may have gone to church, and handed out tracks, and worn a cross, but you weren't really saved. This is NOT my opinion but God's word.

But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted. He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. Doctors used to drain blood (blood-letting) from sick patients, but thousands of years ago the Bible said, the life is in the blood. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to His only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.

Audrey, I found the book Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince very freeing, as it presents the gospel in a very a different way, very much opposed to legalistic denominations. As part of your deconstruction/reconstruction of your world view, I think this may help and would highly recommend it.

My church experiences these past 19 years, are, indeed a thing to be deconstructed. Churches, unfortunately, seem to be more about division than unity. God is not divided, so why are churches?
Coming to the Lord late, as I did, I have often regretted the time I missed with Him, but I think I may have "dodged a bullet" by not having had to deal with "churchiness" and, thankfully, not looking for my worth, or an over-estimation thereof, in a church community.
The church I was a member of went out of business after 150 years, though God did not and will not.

I understood that this planet of full of misery but also full of beauty. That as kind and gentle we can be there is also a dark side. That all of us are capable of building but also of destroying. But most importantly that believing in something is better than believing in nothing. That when the difficult times come we need something or someone to reach out to, to anchor, to ask for help.
She looks like a lost soul looking for answers that she may never find. I can see the pain in her eyes. I know it. I've been there. It's a dark place.
I grew up Christian. I witnessed the injustice and hypocrisy of leaders but also saw the good that we did for many out there. I opted to believe in a higher power which in my case is God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit. It has nothing to do with religion, or a churche, or denominations. It goes beyond.
She chose her feelings and experience. Her view. How she looks at them. She is relying on her own understanding. She decided to trust her feelings over the word of God. When you doubt, choose not to believe what is written. Have faith in the word of God. Not your measly 40+ years of life. Peon brains we have. She made her own religion based off of her peon brain and experience.

The scriptures you shared are truth, however, we cannot know her heart. Only God knows the intent and secret things of our hearts. He alone can discern whether or not she is lost or has rejected the Holy Spirit. I pray this isn't the case and for God's merciful conviction to bring her out of darkness. He wishes that none would perish therefore I pray and it's my hope that every brother and sister in Christ would intervene through prayer for her and all those without Christ.

Questioning institutions and organizations and traditions seems just fine to me....but Christ transcends all of those things. As a Christian, i most assuredly see Gods presence in a blade of grass and His Spirit in every breath I take- there's nothing unchristian in that. I really feel this deconstruction stuff is more about people deconstricting what they think the Christian faith is than what Christian faith actually is. I wonder if something Joseph Prince teaches is relevant here in that the law (demand) brings death whereas grace and truth (supply) bring life and that well meaning parents ramming law down the throats of their children actually does harm and wounds them, whereas Grace and truth brings life and wholeness. The bible says grace and truth came through Jesus Christ so I suppose this is where the focus should be. I wasn’t brought up in a Christian home my parents were not demanding at all, so I have not been through the trauma of Audrey but it does seem that so many strict religious law based upbringings can cause much harm, for me the permanent gift of righteousness, the law fulfilled for us by Jesus, the abundance of grace, Jesus paying for all our sins, past present and future,, this is the gospel I believe in.

We're all human and should fear God enough to avoid major and not do things thay cross the line. Adultery, 🌈 sex, and child Moslesex , drugs and over use of alcohol. Those sins anger God. Please pray for her she's still a child of God but needs to repent and turn back to God. All those sins also weaken you and you can get attacked by the enemies of God.
Universalism. That’s what she’s talking about. This is not a bad thing, but hone it in sister lol. I believe her vision is a bit too broad. Narrow is the Way. This biblical truth & encouragement is not a prison, but rather a matter of staying focused. There is a balance. In other words for instance, “I respect other religions & understand that people achieve high spiritual understanding through those avenues.. but that is it. I respect it. I do not believe it & believe that my way works best for me.” For me, Christ & the Cross are the truth. It is what holds all things together & I accept that others may not necessarily share in those truths as they go try to find their own way. I also agree that spirituality comes with a lot of nuance but she is really broad. The is no healthy spirituality outside of the power of God. People shouldn’t judge her, it’s her journey.

It's a good quality to be a "seeker"; not to have fixed ideas. Children, the ones we have to be like if we wish to see the kingdom of heaven, have this seeking quality. Hebrews 13:8, God is unchanging and those that place their faith in Him will not be moved. Jesus is the rock (unmovable Psalm 62:6) the keeps us grounded to truth and not wandering. Nicodemus put his faith in "tradition", not the salvation of YH*H, that's why he was perplexed.
