Hey Buddy How long have you been shooting with APA? How long were you a five and then a six before making it to a seven.? I'm currently a five in 8ball and one session under my belt in nine ball where i just made six. Again I love your content.
He did have a shot on the 8 be it a risky one. If there is one thing i have learned about corner pockets, it's that you can easily make any ball in the opposite corner pocket. When you're trying to so it though, that's much harder.
Josh, to me it really doesn't matter who wins when I watch your matches as long as you are commentating on where on the cue you are going to hit the ball and why.. Please more of that.. Keep the vids coming. -=Efrain=-
Game 5 was not a double hit either. He’s striking down/punching it which “I think” is causing it to pop up. Also, per the WPA rule book, an unintentional miscue (you might argue he’s miscuing) is not a foul. You should be able to hear a double hit depending upon the noise level.
Slowed down the video on Paul’s 9 ball shot. Looks like he miscued and when the cue ball was coming back down it hit his tip. So yes, double hit. Tough to call in APA though. You talked about elevating your game. Do you play Masters?
In recent videos you talked a lot about needing to get back into practicing and that it was affecting your game not doing so. Could you maybe do a longer form video of just what your practice routine/session looks like. It doesnt really need commentary or anything, but just really curious what you do to practice personally.
I gots a question that happed last night on apa 8 ball practice game. I brake and make one of each and next shot one and a stripe is by side pocket. I shoot one for corner pocket and cue ball is stalled by the stripe but makes the stripe before the one gets to corner pocket. I say its still open he said i shot at one and thats my ball i called bullshit another guy said still open but he was not getting off the one who is rt. Lol.
If you were playing APA then YOU were correct . If the table is open ,ANY shot that pockets at least one ball from each group results in the table remaining open. Which ball the shooter intended to make does not enter into it. Which ball you strike first doesn't matter either , nor does which ball drops first . Only after a shot where only balls from ONE group are pocketed . THEN it is decided . Tell them to read the APA rules manual .
Why did u move solid ball off rail on the possible double hit. U moved in line with cue ball and side pocket it was not hit in shot he made what am I missing lol ?
Opponent accidentally moved the 7 ball with his hand/cue when shooting the 9 ball. In APA this is not a foul, but the non-shooting player has to placed the moved ball back to it's original position (as best he can). If an accidentally moved ball hits the cue ball, however, that's a ball in hand foul.

Okay, not trying to be mean here but you might want to adjust your shooting. Yes the pros put their chin on the cue but as we age we change. Bending that much tightens things up.
