I used to really love this aesthetic, but now I realize it's just too much white. It's like a hospital. Maybe some more wood would warm it up a bit. I mean it's lovely and airy and beautiful, but needs just a bit more color and warmth to feel cozy.
And, I keep picturing my dog's muddy paws and my son's Cheeto fingers on all that white .... 🤣
Totally agree! It just needs pops of colour to make it less sterile.
Hospitals arent' this white, at least where I live. They are mostly beige, which is quite pleasant.
I think it is beautiful. I love the floor for warmth, the neutrality of materials and the less is more approach to draw the eye up and out.
Definitely! I live in the UK so all white is the laat thing I'd ever want, but even in Aus this is too much 😂
Some comments are anti-white but there are still souls who love the idea - like me. Their designs are always a breath of fresh air for me... never gets old. :)
It’s too white for me, butI appreciate how the house flows and your taken out to the water. The landscaping is my favourite.
The house is amazing!! The use of natural light, the wood elements, however just some artwork or an addition of another colour to the decor would make it very welcoming.
Hopefully they are carefully curating some are pieces for this newly renovated home.
The house looks bland, like it’s staged for sale and as much as it has nice things it doesn’t look homey.

It's a bit grating that the homeowners get cut off frequently during their tours... Allowing the homeowner to lead the tour and the conversation would allow more of the special features, interesting behind-the-scenes tips and anecdotes to emerge more naturally.
It's nice, cool and fresh in the hot Gold Coast which is needed and loved in such countries. Cheers!
Sooooo beautiful!!! What a gorgeous home and a tribute to the owners styling and design. Dont know if anyone else ever wonders this and I know it is so irrelevant but I would just love to hear peoples background stories on how they have reached the place they are at. I love watching home walk throughs and it just intrigues me to know how people get to the place they are at.
Not for just this particular circumstance but in general, like do they have huge mortgages, were they house flippers that made profit and used that each time to reduce their debt, did they inherit their home, did they win the lottery. I love hearing peoples back stories, I know it may not matter but it always gives me hope that anyone can get to any place if they try you know 🥰 I loved hearing Peppa Harts story about her and husband working really hard for years, he did FIFO, she had her own business and they owned a home prior that they sold and bought their land to build which ended up being TBR house 10!! Then sold that home and bought villas in Bali where they now live!!! Its just so fascinating to wonder what everyones journey has been!!!

I wanted to buy this house in 2018 when it last changed hands. The previous owners had furnished this home with such soul. Tenille has styled this house to her liking- but the house and it’s structure was pretty perfect before they bought it. They’ve done the bathrooms and updated the butlers pantry. That’s it. Weird that reno school is featuring this home like it’s a big reno. When it isn’t.

Likely jasmine. Grows well when trained to wire like that on the Gold Coast.

Speakers behind the wall is a decision they will definitely regret.
Poor Sound quality and if one breaks you have to rip into the wall just to replace it.

It’s lovely, but this all white is getting a little old. It just seems to lack soul and personality. I really do love three birds, but every house looks the same, it’s a bit cookie cutter.

The house is to white, doesn't look homey and welcoming and warm to me. If it was a hotel great, but for a family home no thanks not for me. But its beautiful and flows well anyway
I appreciate the work but, for me, it looks like everything else out there. For me it lacks personality and originality. Having said that, it is still very nice and I can tell how much the owners love it…so it is an absolute success for them. Well done.
