I agree with Jeremy. The writing is sloppy, to short. Using dittos? Even if you are just watching the gate, You never put all secure. What is all secure? Details. Example; I am at my post, observing CCTV, or observing any cars that approach the gate, or there is no activity while monitoring the gate. Always use words, never ditto marks. Don't forget to include breaks, restroom breaks, even if they are where you sit or stand. At approximately 1600 hours I started my lunch break or rest break, Remained at my desk. Some post have on duty paid lunches. I have patrolling post, stationary post.

This has got to be one of THE WORST examples of how to write a DAR. You do not write a DAR to please the client, you write it as a piece of evidence. You write it as if the person reading it has no clue as to what you're talking about. "Conducted property check." You would receive a coaching if you use that at my account. What piece of equipment was left on? Management may want to know that. Maybe it was suppose to be left on. Did you call an Engineer to find out? Be more descriptive. Hour by hour IS NOT acceptable. That's why you carry a note pad, to jot down specific times. If the time on your report does not coincide with the time stamp on the camera, how can a 3rd party deem your report truthful or accurate?

What do you put if you're on a stationary post where you're not doing patrols and just watching a gate? For some reason no one has an answer for that

If you are at a stationary post I don't really think it matters much if you do a DAR or not. I mean there's only so much you can put? Depends on the stationary post as well.

Posts where you check trucks or let cars enter an apartment complex it's pretty much mandatory to write down who what where when why.
