Ferrari 330 P4, Porsche 917K, Ferrari 312PB, Porsche 908L, Lola T70…, Chapparal 2F, any of these models in the database would be seriously interesting. This was my childhood, I’ve never forgotten the excitement and joy watching these cars on TV back in the day, a long time ago now.
ive been collecting models for over 30 years and have 20 plus exoto ,they are the best you can buy, you have cmc but they are no where near as good they have a long way to go to get to exotos standered .im hoping they produce the 1.12 shark noes ferrari another great vidio keep them coming.
I surch for the models d-type Jaguar Exoto, but the prices are to high but I keep looking. Beautiful models Exoto I got a few models but because CMC have more "affordable" classic models in theire collection I buy them. I think Exoto is a bit better then cmc but the price are 2 or 4 times higher and I find that to much.
When you were using Invicta as an example of shady pricing, I was like that can't be right. Invicta make their watches look like Rolex but it's made of plastic and cheap materials. It's literally no better than a 50 dollar watch and premium chinese knock offs run circles around Invicta. Exoto is actually premium quality and probably can justify a 1k price tag if they had good customer service
Invicta used to be a quality brand back before the 70's. The company name was purchased in the late 90"s and you now have the Chinese made products of today. I was referring more to the marketing tactics, which include the pricing. Exoto used to list their "original" prices up to 50% higher than the listed sales price, very similar to what Invicta does with their retail price. Unfortunately, inflation has caught up with Exoto to the point that the 1k price does not seem excessive. Exoto has some of the best detailed models ever created and I do have a few of them in my collection. But if you do any search on Exoto customer service and pricing practices, you will see what I am referring to. Thanks!
@diecastden I am new to this but please explain, why are their products very much on sale? The level of details reveal cmc and many models are half the price. They are definitely many steps above even auto art signature series. Their msrp probably shouldn't be 2k but you get a lot of car for 400. I feel like cmc holds their value but exoto not so much?
@@Singuy888 I tried to explain some of the reasons for the sales tactics in the video. The best advise I can give you, if you can, buy used or from a retailer (rare) that may have one in stock. Ebay is probably your best bet. The models definitely hold their value.
@diecastden I asked reddit and some people said their models used to be priced at 100-200 dollars retail in 2010? So I'm looking at this Corvette grandsport that went from 60 bucks on ebay, it's 299 on exoto website, and original price was over 1k? I'm so confused as to what the real prices are
