Willcox, Arizona - wow. Your video caught my eye because of that. My Dad, brother and I were stranded with a broken rear axle in Willcox for 4 long hot summer days back in 1985. My brother and I still talk about our adventures there all these years later -- the unscrupulous mechanic, the quirky lady who sold takeout pizza out of her house, the kindly Pakistani family who ran the hotel we were stuck in on the outskirts of town, and the roofing contractor we worked for one afternoon in trade for my Dad to get a ride to Tucson to pick up parts. I"m glad to see that Willcox has something fun going on in it.
Love the current rules, if you start small changes to them it will quickly ruin the spirit of the sport. Make a whole new category of home made cart racing if you wish!
@@LazySpaceRaptor I think any more upgrades and they might start to fall into the quarter midget race category I see the kids learning on around my area, looks like fun!
If you're doing a full twenty-four hour race, I am impressed at the dedication to the race. It isn't easy to do twenty four hours, hopefully you had drivers change overs.
Close, we run from 10AM Saturday till 10PM Saturday Night, resume at 6AM Sunday and finish at 10AM Sunday. So actual running time of 16 hours. And yes if you have a team of at least 3 drivers to make it to the end, and a dependable kart.
Just show up. We will be there again in 2024, usually the last weekend in September, to the first weekend of October. Check the Arizona CycleKart Club on Facebook or watch for the event post on www.cyclekartclub.com
Yes, I only put down a few laps in the dark, but is sure is fun. One of the guys witnessed a snake on the track being scooped up by a hungry owl. Its wild out there!

Wow, that is an adventure to be sure.
Definitely stepped up your production game with the great drone footage and the SloMo editing. Good job capturing the spirit of a fun event.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video! The slow motion action scenes were pretty cool!
Glad you enjoyed it
I think these cars are awesome and I love the simplicity . I just think they would be a bit more fun with a gearbox and a clutch
The group in Argentina uses that type of set up. Here in the USA, the preferred method is the TAV. Its simple and it works great. Thanks for watching.

@@waynemanning3262 You could probably revert the car back to competition spec engine/gearbox in 20mins they are that simple.
@@waynemanning3262Motokart maybe? Idk what names aren't taken already.
