  • In this weeks video we rip off our final roof, adjust the finished room height and put a new roof complete with fibre glass top coat. This week has got us to a point where we are water tight in all of our working areas which now means we can start the rip out of the main house ready for knocking through top produced the big open plan living our customers want.
    If you have any questions drop them in the comments or to our email contained within the bio.
    Thanks for watching.

    I think the drone is a great addition to give your viewers a different view, but also, can be used to inspect roofing when quoting for jobs to see without getting ladders or scaffolding up. Love watching your videos from a DIY perspective and followed your channel for over few years now.

    I would "REALLY" like to know, considering the quality and effort the team are showing on this build, what stage the work on the 'previous' job that you parted ways on, has gotten to, this vlog has shown that your work, ethics and quality is top notch IMHO, I just wish we had more to watch, waiting a week is like being back in the 80's waiting for the next thrilling installment of whatever to come :) Thanks for the uploads, the comedy and the quality, very much appreciated.

    In the morning of the last days work at 41 Mins -30 Secs in i thought the two lads were turned to Mecca on their knees for their Morning Prayers. Really great job, you were blessed with nice dry weather not alone for the construction of the roof but for the critical part with the fibre glass work on the roof.

    What a great series of videos. You really put yourselves in the firing line in making these. Warts and all. You have emerged having completed (except bells and whistles) a fairly complex and demanding job which from which an experienced self home builder has learned a lot and been reassured that what practices I have done over the years have been based on common sense and good basic principles. I have enjoyed watching the processes.

    Fantastic video as always, always look forward to Sundays! I'm not a builder but a cabinet maker and I would like to think a knowledgeable diyer. I recently took my plastic gutter down to clean (bungalow). My question is, would it be possible to take the gutter down on your flat roof, or just replace a fitting? I'm referring to the way the trim sits in the gutter. Sorry if this is a dumb question! Keep up the great work guys. Thanks for the knowledge and the entertainment! I have a question about drainage again... as it stands it looks like the gutter of roof 3 will have to deal with all the rain falling on roof 3, plus roof 1 and on top of that half the roof of the original house, is there not a high risk of overflowing in a downpour? I'm a fan of the Gate City Foundation Drainage channel and Sean is always saying "once water is in a pipe, keep it in a pipe", so maybe the water from roof 1 and the top of the house should somehow be kept in down pipes instead of flowing on top of roof 3? But I wouldn't know how to do that...

    • @mrabuilders6723
      @mrabuilders6723  17 дней назад +1

      Hi Robert. As you may have seen in this episode we talked about having two different types on this roof that didn’t fit together. This is because these OSB sheets are 8’ x 2’ tongue and groove which allows us to span between rafters and not have to go onto the centre of each flat roof rafter like standard OSB or other sheet materials. Hope this explains your question. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻

    It's great t see what your doing your work videocontent is very good👍. A good friend is having a rubber roof. As like your main roof with the same roof lantern that you have i know yours glass fibre as I've watched all of your stuff.. My experience with fiberglass on boats is that it's far more durable harder, and has greater longevity so I told him I would have gone down the route of glass he said nop rubber it's much better , he's been told.
