The youngest member of the group, Justin, was actually the creative director of this MV.
"What?" is a song about self-love and self-empowerment. It tells you to be proud of who you are and what you represent even though it might be against the crowd or even though a lot of people might try to bring you down.
That actually tells the story of SB19. They trained for 3-4 years and when they debuted on October 26, 2018 (The date is found in the hologram in the Bazinga video), their debut song had lukewarm reception and the bashers often called them KPop wannabes. They were close to disbanding when they decided to fight for their dreams and give all they got (at least for one last time) for their song "Go Up". They practiced that song 1000x then their dance practice video went viral on September 2, 2019 (There's another reference in the Bazinga MV with the coordinates on the brown paper). That catapulted them to spotlight. They gained a lot of fans since then as they serve as an inspiration for many people who dared to dream.
SB19 originally came from their company's name, ShowBT Philippines (a Korean events company that branched out to the Philippines), and 19 is the difference between the country codes of South Korea (82) and Philippines (63). When you add the digits of the country codes, the sum is also 19 (8+2+6+3). The boys also came up with their own meaning of SB which is "Sound break" because they want to break into the Filipino music scene with their sound. Original Filipino music (Original Pilipino Music or OPM), by the way, is dominated by ballads.
Though there were Filipino pop artists before SB19, it was SB19's success that paved the way for the rise of PPop (Philippine pop), a subgenre of OPM, where the artists undergo rigorous training in singing, dancing, and personality development prior to debut.
SB19's fandom is called A'Tin (pronounced eighteen). They boys came up with the word. They said that it's because 18 (A'Tin) comes before 19 (SB19) and there will be no 19 (SB19) if it weren't for 18 (A'Tin). Another meaning is that it is spelled as "atin", which means "ours" in Filipino. Every achievement of SB19, they always share it with A'Tin.
The reason there is an emphasis in the "A" in A'Tin is that it also refers to "Aurums", the pioneer fanbase of SB19 before they went viral and had an official fandom name.
Yes, bandera means flag. Filipinos has different terms for flag: bandera, bandila and watawat. Bandera and watawat were the ones mentioned in their song

Hi about your question: SB means sound break because according to them they will breakout to the Filipino music and give it a different flavor. 19 is the sum of the area code of South Korea and Philippines. Their company actually originated from South Korea. The fandom was called A'tin, sounded as eighteen because there is no 19 if there is no 18. SB means soundbreak, and 19 is actually the sum of South Korea and Philippines country codes... A'tin (18) since they are 19, means the fans comes first since they are very thankful to them and in Filipino "atin" refers to "ours".
I'm not into boybands but for some reason, I watched their interview with Toni and gave SB19 a chance. That started it all for me and it's worth it :)

This is by far my favorite music video of them in terms of editing and creativity. Although I cannot discredit the other videos because they are hands-on in everything, music, lyrics, concept, and directing. And to have done this in the middle of the pandemic and lockdowns, this what's made it more special to me. I was amazed how they pulled off this caliber in the midst of all that.

I live in the Philippines but I don't know SB19 until this August 2021. This is the first MV that I have seen from SB19 and I never stopped watching their videos since then. What I like about this group is that at their young age, they write their own songs, choreograph their dance and even direct their MVs and concerts.
