some little facts:
sb19 are pure filipinos who was trained under a korean company.
they started out extremely similar to a korean group but when they blew up, they wanted to pivot raising Filipino Pop so they completely shyed away from the heavy kpop influence (Also why Pablo was formerly known as Sejun)
They are heavily self producing group. Pablo, their leader, is responsible for the production of all of their tracks. Stell, their main vocalist is also their choreographer (He co-choreographed What) They also had creative freedom for their Music Videos. Justin, their youngest was one of the main creative directors of the MV.

it's funny you mentioned tvxq/dbsk/tohoshinki. i actually like sb19 because they reminded me of the old tvxq/thsk. their ballads remind me of dbsk's japanese ballads. both groups have really, really good live harmonies. hope you can check out sb19's ballads in the future.

You should react to their song "Go Up" Song. MV and Dance Practice. It's one of their earlier songs and this song is what made them blew up here in the Philippines. You can clearly see their journey and growth as a group.

SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018 consisting of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They were trained for three years by ShowBT Philippines, beginning in 2016. They are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in Billboard Music Awards for the Top Social Artist category.
They started small and not that popular not until Go Up happens and went viral over twitter because of their dance practice and everything change and now they're dominating.
Fact: SB19 is heavily self produced group, they're the one who usually writes and produced their songs mainly Pablo (their Leader) and they choreographed their own performances mainly Stell (their main vocal). Justin (their youngest) also directed their MVs in Hanggang sa Huli (their ballad) and the Art Director of What? MV.

i was kinda waiting for you to react to SB19's WHAT? MV and dance practice. i'm glad that you enjoyed watching it, especially the choreo. SB19 is an all-filipino male group. they're managed by a korean entertainment agency called Show BT and they debuted in 2018 with a ballad called "Tilaluha". they broke out with "Go Up" a dance track that has a positive message of never giving up. it's because of the dance practice video of Go Up that was shared on social media that they went viral. from there they released other pop dance tracks "Alab" and "Love Goes". i've mentioned they debuted with a ballad song so you can also check out "Hanggang sa Huli" as well.
SB19 are heavily involved in the production of their songs, most especially Pablo, their leader who has songwriting and producing credits on their songs, Justin, their youngest is their creative director while Stell, their main vocalist choreographs. stell especially worked hard on creating the choreography for WHAT? with help from Tank Bautista who is a 2-time world hiphop dance champion.
Their ballads are also sooo goood! Hanggang sa Huli and Tilaluha are the best for me!

This group started from a scratch... they have a korean company but its not that big so promotion is not as loud as kpop group. The time they debuted PPop is not popular here I mean it was before but it slowly faded as kpop grows and becomes more popular in our country... SB19 doesnt have any connection with local showbiz or tv networks... nothing at all... they became known when their Go Up dance practice went viral in twitter... it reached many people and it started it all... everything is thanks to that performance but fans came to love the group through their vlogs... coz they are funny too and super close with each other
