Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited that we are taking a look at this AMAZING Rear Bathroom Travel Trailer from Coachmen! This is the 2023 Coachmen Northern Spirit 2557rb! This is an amazing couples travel trailer! What I love about this RV is the Size quality price and most importantly the HUGE Bathroom!

Is that really a molded fiberglass front cap?
It's a good bathroom, but not huge -- 30x36 should be the minimum for a functional shower. Our 2020 Solaire 249 RBS has a 30 x 48 shower -- now that's huge for a camper. Their current model that is very similar is the 242 RBS. And they have a porcelain toilet!
Womp! Womp! Womp! Plastic toilets and Dollar Store 4” fart fans do not belong in $50,000 RVs😩and where’s the attached ladder😢
It doesn't say much for quality or the dealership when you show a trailer with a broken cabinet door and detached cabinet panel. I stopped watching right there.
Love the floor plan, but hate the plastic toilet and lack of fireplace
The recliner was to narrow/small. Why no fireplace?
this is just alright. no enough kitchen counter space.
I like the space and the overall layout, but my big dislike is that you have to climb over the dinette to get to the bedroom with the slide in.
Kitchen cabinet needs a shelf
The hidden closet is nice but that I'd not in the bedroom.the kitchen still needs storage for a pantry and coats and a broom and vacuum. But the bedroom needs its own storage for clothes and maybe a combo washer/dryer. I wouldn't mind an extra few feet to get storage in the bedroom. Also...put a micro convection oven in the kitchen please. You could get a bit more storage if you did that and took away the oven. Or keep the oven. Nice to have both. The outdoor kitchen can go. Not needed. I wish the kitchen was a bit bigger.
Meant to say there's no clothes storage in the bedroom.
The floor plan is fantastic! I love the hidden closet behind the TV.
I WANT THIS
I like the flip up bed. The bathroom in the back and the hidden storage behind the tv. Dislikes the outdoor kitchen the no counter space. That’s all my dislikes. Thank you Matt and Wil.
The counter has that flip-up end piece due to the slide-in. It's meant to be flipped up all the time in normal use to give you that extra counter space. Then a larger foot-opened trashcan put underneath it. It's a neat compromise, IMO.

This is basically almost everything you want in a Travel Trailer. Placement of everything is good, the rear bathroom is as well.
- note the the counter is meant to be that way as they expect you to put a large trashcan with a lid at the end and flip up the end piece/keep it there full-time. If the counter went all the way out, the side-in would cause problems. No, it's not meant to be used with the slide in. Considering the smaller size, that's still pretty amazing. I've seen 35ft trailers with less usable space to actually live in.
- I am not a fan of outside kitchens. This one simply needs it removed for more storage.
- The bed needs to be rotated 90 degrees just like it is. So that the entrance is at the foot of the bed. This would give much better access and more space for storage.
- Otherwise, it's pretty near perfect AND isn't expensive as some of the less well made competition.
I really like this but I’d prefer a smaller booth dinette so I could have space on both sides of the sofa. The sofa is too crammed against the wall which makes it look smaller. It would just be my husband and I and we wouldn’t need that huge u-shaped dinette for the two of us.
I love the space under the bed but I recently saw a setup where it was a Murphy bed. That would be perfect for us because we need a place for my husband to do his Zoom meetings. He has at least one every day… and that’s in his vacation days. Regular work days he might have up to 5. I wish I could remember who made the Murphy bed in the bedroom.

Long time watcher and was in the market for a new RV. We reached out to the team and i think the move back to General made Mattt less national. The people we worked with took alot of time only answering emails about 1 time a day while i was working with other local dealers, and never even got around to getting me a price after a week. During that time another local deal gave me a good offer on the trailer we wanted coming from the factory new. I think that Matt is more east and south coast now. He is to far out from the PNW and the videos seem to push more budget trailers than some of the nicer models he did with RVR
The weight numbers you read and the one's posted don't match. Which numbers are correct?
Where does Freedom Express fit in the hierarchy with ALTA and Northern Spirit.

What benefits is there of the wide space between the axle
The camper will ride better going down the road with its suspension. Axles closer together ride rougher and you feel every bump and thus so will things jar harder inside when traveling.

Mostly experience. We have owned both kinds. We have been camping 19 years. My husband also is a truck driver. Also your weight is distributed better when the axles are further apart. Hope this helps.
Also I forgot, leaf spring suspension rides smoother just a FYI .
