The one Disney Animation movie that (super pleasantly) shocked me with how good and entertaining it is. I went in with zero prior knowledge of what it is. I mean, I knew Disney Animation produces quality movies, but Zootopia just hit it out of the park. The only flaw I had was the villain. Everything else was amazing. Its message is definitely not something I would’ve expected from an animated film.

Racism is a very unpopular villain. Had Judy followed Doug on her first day, the movie would have been 20 minutes long.
Even though Judy said the Gideon incident happened when she was nine, the first chance we give the audience to make a decision.... We all follow the fox, not the sheep who yelled at him for no reason.

I can't speak for Disney now, or every Disney movie. But when I watched the Film Theorists video on Zootopia, when MatPat said Disney isn't afraid to include dark subjects in their stories, I absolutely believe that. I don't remember the examples he gave, have to find the video on youtube. But my example, is 101 Dalmatians, the original animated film. Beautiful old school animation, great characters, great voice acting, great adventure...but don't forget, the whole plot of that kids movie, was rescuing PUPPIES from an evil woman and her thugs, who KIDNAPPED THEM, to kill and SKIN THEM, to make fur coats out of them.
Disney, at least Zootopia and earlier, does not F around. I love how they mix cute or likeable characters with extreme stuff. I think it's a great way to talk to children about how messed up the universe is.

Hey, Magy. I had seen the trailer of "Zootopia" almost 7 years ago, but I haven't watched it. There were so many Disney animated films or Pixar films. There was one animated movie I did watch 2 months ago, and was a classic. It's called "Aladdin" from 1992, it was spectacular. It is based on the Arabic folktale of the same name from the "One Thousand and One Nights", and it is one of the Disney Renaissance. It tells a story of a villainous man named Jafar, a ruthless sorcerer and the royal vizier of the Middle Eastern city of Agrabah, seeks a lamp hidden within the Cave of Wonders. The cave's guardian tells him that only one person is worthy to enter: "the diamond in the rough", whom Jafar later identifies as a young street urchin named Aladdin. Meanwhile, Princess Jasmine is upset by her obligation to marry a prince due to the law rather than for love. Concealing herself, she escapes the palace and is saved from an angry merchant by Aladdin and his pet monkey Abu. I totally recommend you to go watch it. I planned it on its 30th Anniversary as it was released in November 11, 1992, four years before I was born.
    Thanks,
    Noah. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

If it's her first day and her paperwork is still processing (cause she's not in the system yet), of course they are going to put her on parking duty for her first day! Hi Magy, if you (and anyone reading this comment) liked this movie and its themes, but would like to experiment the same kind of story in a more mature approach, I could only recommend the manga (or its derivated anime series) Beastars.
It is also a story taking place in a world of anthropomorphic animals, with the main theme being cohabitation between herbivores and carnivores. Just taking all of that more seriously : on the campus of a prestigious school, an alpaga is eaten, raising the tension between herbis and carnis, the main protagonist is a grey wolf that would have to deal with its instincts especially when he'll fell in love with a white bunny.
So if you didn't knew about it, you could go check it out blindfully, it's one of the best mangas of those five last years.

Something interesting about this scene, most people think there assigning Judy this because they don’t see her as a real cop or that yet. But this is an actual police training tactics to get people used to a community and to relax them out.
As we see Judy on her first few days, she’s overly dedicated to the point she’s doing her job… but not aligning herself in a favourable way towards the community she’s patrolling.
It’s something that’s designed to mellow out over eager officers who want to jump straight into the action by putting through the shit boring jobs first and then slowly working them into the mainline patrol groups.
A good way to see it, give her a few weeks in this job and she’ll probably start to know a few people around helping them out with potentially small petty problems/crimes that can be easily handled which will endear her towards the community and will allow her to know people.
Soon you’ll probably find that instead of ticketing everyone, she’ll go “well that’s Mr Cranberry and he’s not normally this late to picking up his car, I’ll probably just wait a bit longer and see if he’s ok and everything and give him a light warning vs a ticket” or “ahh that’s Mrs Graham loading up her truck on her own vs with her kids help, yeah her times expired but I’ll toss in my help and let her go on this one due to the circumstances.”
This will as above endear a person to their community while also building a friendly connection with them.
From there you’ll likely then see the chief start assigning them to patrols maybe every other week between their parking job.
“Since your doing a good job and Francine has phoned in sick, I’ve decided that you can side car with Officer Milkman.”
From here with an experienced officer who’s already attuned to the community and job, they’ll get brought more up to speed on the regular patrol duties while also getting that better mix of community relations - said experienced officer will have years or potentially decades of communal relations with those around him and instead of sending you into a hornets nest as a unknown, your partners and such will keep you both under leash from doing something stupid while also being the middle man in helping to bring you fully into the community.
Yes you might have helped this community out before, but it was only in a minor role, now your in the bigger leagues so now is when you start to properly form that bond and your prior interactions will either help soften or harden said community’s acceptance of you.
And hopefully also by that point you as an officer will have mellowed out slightly - still holding that professionalism - but aren’t going to be as gun-ho or radical too the books.

You can actually make dogs howl by mimicing howling yourself because they have that instinct of their wolf-cousins as wolves and dogs are closely related (after all out modern pet dogs are the decendants of the wild wolves out ancestors managed to tame several thousands of years ago), the instinct that makes them howl as it is a call and response instinct. There are videos on RUclips of people mimicing howling and their dogs respond to it, so it's not a movie thing.

    I wish to share a sort of dark theory about this song;
Hypothesis 1: The "Zootopia" cartoon is a hidden message about animal extinction and the dangers of human expansion and industrialization. The depiction of a city built by animals, with neighborhoods divided by species and a reliance on technology, could be a metaphor for the way humans have taken over and destroyed natural habitats. Additionally, the main character's journey to uncover a conspiracy involving the disappearance of predators could symbolize the ongoing loss of biodiversity and the extinction of certain animal species.
Hypothesis 2: The "Zootopia" cartoon is a commentary on the dangers of prejudice and discrimination. The film's portrayal of animals living together in a city, but with certain species being marginalized and mistreated, could be a metaphor for the way humans discriminate against each other based on race, gender, sexuality, and other factors. The main character's journey to overcome her own prejudices and work with a marginalized group could represent the importance of empathy and understanding in overcoming discrimination. Furthermore, the film's story of predators going missing and being blamed for crimes they didn't commit could be a metaphor for the way marginalized groups are often falsely blamed for societal problems.

Oh this was a great, actually serious, version of Police Academy. So much of this was a rip off of the 80's Police Academy movie except the DMV scene which was just genius. Much love and keep on keepin on J.

I like that this movie doesn't deny that there is some truth to stereotypes. I don't mean that we should stereotype each other, which is prejudice, but there is usually a reason that certain stereotypes exist, and they have some truth in a statistical sense. The key is to not apply these statistics by saying that something is always true or applies to every single individual. That's when it becomes a problem and is just plain morally wrong (and often factually wrong).

For reference to anyone unfamiliar with the USA - the Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is famous for being a time-consuming, inefficient, miserable experience. So the sloth scene hits hard in a bad way.

Fun fact: the only animals that it’s in Zootopia are mammals, meaning reptiles, birds and insects are not in this movie, not even apes (even though they’re mammals)
Although give it to the fact that they’re no humans in this movie and Apes are related to Humans, that’s probably why they’re not included in Zootopia

We are like animals with all sense of emotions, in alternative universe animals can be like us humans to be cooperative and creative. This movie for example; is breathtaking. I'm starting to wonder in future if we live in some oxygen atmosphere alien world little bit like Zootopia, it could be our journey to real-life dreams along with our loved ones.

Ah, animals! Kinder, prettier, cleaner and smarter than man. What is your favorite animal and do you have a pet? I love cats the most because they can take care of themselves. I highly recommend you to react to the movie "Garfield" 2004. A golden, beautiful, funny and smart cat, just like you. Rejoice!!!
