Are they supposed to securely clamp shut. I recently got one that when you put the latch down when closed, it doesn’t firmly secure. Shaking it can open the clasp.
Awesome video sir! I'm no stranger to Pelican cases, but I never really dealt with the 10 series. I'm looking at the 1010 to hold my DJI mic and receiver as I begin my own channel! Thank you for the info, definitely subscribing! 🤟🏾
I was looking at Pelican Micro cases recently to put phone, car keys, wallet inside while snorkeling. The tag on the product specifically said "not for swimming".......I am not talking diving...I am talking surface swimming snorkeling, maybe an occasional surface dive to 15ft. for a few seconds or so. They are now advertised on the tag as "water resistant"......what the heck?
Interesting, yeah I'd do some testing with them to be sure they're safe. They can certainly handle your standard amount of water, e.g. rain/storms or being briefly submerged at a shallow depth. But diving for an extended period of time is a different level.
Purely aesthetic and ultimately unimportant (and no doubt impossible with material choice)…..but I wish the smaller cases were the same matte finish as the larger cases.
good review, I might look more into these cases for some of my collectables or even gaming needs. thanks
No problem!
Are there any specific uses for the “belt loops” on each side of the case besides the right side providing for a small carabiner?
Not that I've found personally.

Yeah it should lock securely, I'd recommend returning it or reaching out to Pelican - might have a defect.
Can you remove the rubber liner from each case?
They're pretty tightly joined to the body, but it may be possible.
Easily
how many AA/AAA batteries can that 1010 hold?
I fit 12 AA and 8 AAA in mine, and it could probably hold a few more if needed.
@@andrewsaraceni thanks i plan on buying one
@@andrewsaraceni just got my case today and it's even bigger than i expected to be small can carry more batteries than i need
@@LavishTWilliams Glad to hear it worked out!
But this one can't stand a AA/AAA lithium battery explosion? Right?

No problem, and thanks for the sub!

Do you think the 1050 05 1060 will hold a Atoms Ninja v? And if Yes what about with a cage on it?
1050 would be a very tight fit even without a cage. 1060 would be fine though, likely with a cage too.
thanks! @@andrewsaraceni
If something is IN a Pelican case, I use a plastic food-storage case and save $.
That's a cheaper option, but a totally different kind of build quality and durability. 🤷♂

Agreed, also not a huge fan of the glossy finish. Though it has held up well over time.
