- In this video I install the Diablo I three platinum tuner for the jeep grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI.
The video is pretty straightforward if you have any questions or comments leave them down below I’ll be sure to answer them.
This is part of my jeep grand Cherokee build series which is right around creating an over landing rig that I can take exploring all the way through Washington and hit some trails along the way. It’s a work in progress but I didn’t actually find a video specific to the jeep grand Cherokee so decided to put this up here for anyone interested in getting the specific tune for the jeep grand Cherokee

I've got a 12' Altitude with the 5.7 - I just put in a AFE Cold Air Intake and was recommended getting an ECU tuner. The car doesnt pick up that quickly off the jump, and was wondering if you think this is worth it
found more gains between 2500 rpm and 5000 rpm, not much off from the jump

Hey nice to see another Diablo self tuned wk2 been rolling with the 93 octane tune for a couple years and found some throttle response tune moved it to no. 2 as well as the tire size tune you mentioned there seems to be some shift points and spark temp options I am leaving all those alone , I did add cold air intake, throttle body spacer , pedal commander and iridium plugs. I think overall I'm pretty happy as you are. I am wondering if our self tune as aa good as these super charger installs for 2k I keep seeing they show 390 HP increase from the low 200 range at stock . I wonder what our HP is now as well. Awesome! Im running a k&n intake CAI with a fabed exhaust with dual mangaflow 14's and Ive seen a massive difference in response as well as horsepower, from watching a lot of the challenger and charger videos with the same set up, im guessing right at 400hp, 440 tq... THESE ARE GUESSES based off other videos that people have done. The main goal wasnt hp rather than create a jeep thats a great daily driver with 'good' power. If i wanted hp then the srt8 / trackhawk is where i would go. By NO MEANS am i a gear nut so i feel like a represent a DYI enthusiast that just wants a little more than the dealership gave me, if that makes sense
@@jacksonrezab well you can supercharge anything you want including the hellcat cause dealer is always weak it's all about the money to the manufacture . So daily drivers and muscle cars need to be modded to what extent does one go for faster better who wants slower less performance than is available but Hiden. Sick right . Diablo only going to give you 20 HP and 25lb torque. But you can buy a supercharger kit for 8k or a decent blower kit for 800.00 US and get an additional 100 to 150 HP.
I look at it this way many small alterations combined yield more HP than just one mod so you must do all eventually anyway lol

Will this work on 06 5.7 liter Grand Cherokee? Just put volant air intake on it and I think I need a tuner
Looking at this for my 07 Commander HEMI. Do the supplied tunes turn off MDS or do you have to go into the options for that before flashing them? Would be looking at doing the 93 octane tune and turning off MDS.
You have the option for that in the parameters to turn it on or off
Anybody know of or recommend a tuner for an 05 - 10 WK1 Grand Cherokee. Mine is RHD UK market and we’ve recently gone onto E10 fuel here but it’s still 95 octane?

I have not gone fast enough to test that lol. I dont think I will, youll have to find out yourself

new Diablo tuners aren't as good as the old school tuners, plus the tunes aren't as powerful as they used to be
If you never had one then you don't know the difference.

Yes, any 2011 or newer 5.7 HEMI V8 Grand Cherokee does come with the MDS system from the factory.

I have a 2014 overland with the 5.7 with a k and.n intake and the i3 platinum as well. What setup do you have on your car with that tune?
k and n CAI, deleted muffler, replaced resonators with Flowmaster Super 10's, Diablo tune.

? Doesnt make CEL come on by tuning. If done correctly. Even passes New York state emission inspections

Do you have to swap Pcm?
2011-2014's Grand Cherokee don't need a PCM swap, now if it was a 2015 or newer GC with that engine as shown on the video, you'd have to send the PCM to a tuner to unlock, also for the 2018 and newer, on top of sending the PCM to get it unlocked you'd need a security bypass module, might be wrong but I may not be for the 2018-2021 GC's, I believe his PCM was already unlocked since he has the pre-facelift year (2011-2013)

Hi, with this device can I modified the radiator fan starting time ? In my car the radiator fan working at 226 . But I want to make it working with less temperature like at 205.

Good video, thanks. Gotta give my opinion and experience with this thing. Very poor. I've used an older Diablo that was great, but this one is just as cheaply done as they come. Very few parameters can be adjusted, mine only had 2 canned tunes plus Diablo tune (no 89 octane) and it was glitchy, freezing quite often. Lastly, it was about 50% slower on both upload and download than the others I've used. I worked with their techs on the phone for a couple hours and it was a complete waste of time. They couldn't get it to work right either. I ended up returning it and buying a different brand entirely and it worked great.
I appreciate your review, awesome to inform other viewers of experiences, I agree with your statement about the few parameters, Ill be releasing a 6 month review as well, so I will mention your comment and experiences as part of my review with a few others I have found as well for a comparison.
Does this affect the different sport and snow modes?
Both still work perfectly
