Since the pandemic I have spent too much time online and on RUclips in particular and while much of that time has been (honestly) wasted, finding high quality channels like Vicky's has proven incredibly valuable. I have been interested in applications of framework thinking for some time and Vicky's videos have been a game changer. I find your videos an important part of my intention to structure my life. I've watched this video in a short walk and started to think. Watched it again in an hour. Awesome model to work with complex tasks: break complexity, prioritise and create a structure. A few hours later I started being stressed about how many tasks I needed to do in a short time, I was confused about where to start and how. And as a flash, I've remembered this model: breakdown complexity, prioritise and create a structure. Just need to recall suitable models and apply them to my situation.
80/20 is one of my top 3 go-to frameworks for problem-solving. Most of the time there's no need to complicate things. It's more important to start solving than to spend time picking a framework. With that said, sometimes, you do want to solve a problem with a specific framework. When that happens to me, it's usually a problem that is going to take some time to solve. Another great video! 👍🏻
It's probably one of those cases where JIT learning is the most beneficial. Like learning grammar when learning a new language - some people learn all the grammar regardless of whether they're actively needing or using it, others (me included) learn just the concepts they need, when they need them. If you don't use then knowing it doesn't serve you a whole lot, but more importantly you'll spend more time than necessary trying to learn things that aren't relevant to you at the time (since relevance is one of the things that cuts down the learning time).
I really like the analogy with the tree. I think this can apply to general knowledge management. I spend too much time trying to collect the leaves when I should look at the bigger branches more often.
Vicky! LOL the ending! At the start of the video I was thinking holy moly someone tell her about custom GPT's!!! LOL you can upload just ALL the Framework models into a GPT and then ask "what framework should i use for my problem?" That's what I was thinking the whole time. If you did not construct your custom gpt in such a way, I mean, I won't ask for the secret sauce but...?

But it's like I am watching your content as if I am in a 'race' to the end of your videos.. Im a doctoral student and a teacher...and people like me and others love ya BECAUSE YOU ARE A GOOD TEACHER. You have alot to share. I think it's okay to SLOW COOK so what you have to say will MARINATE in our heads better in one sitting. Now I am not dumb, you may NOT like how you present your info in your normal speaking flow. You may think it's TOO SLOW and plodding....but try it. You're prolly not as bad as you think. What you have to say, I think, is better laid out at pace! AGAIN...Youre a good teacher and more people really need time to process what you say, AT A SLOWER PACE, during a video.
This is fast for you? I watch it at 2x speed. How much slower could she speak?? It would sound very unnatural. You can watch it at 0.5x speed if you need to.

2. Prioritize
