You're not the only one with not continueing series whilst you're dying to do so haha! I'm so bad at that too!

I definitely wanna read The Kingdom of Copper soon! Hopefully next month. I do have some other older series that I need to finish, but I'm in no hurry. I have lots of standalones I wanna read first 😊 So I don't know exactly if and when I'm going to continue with my unfinished series.

You're at least ahead of me in terms of Red Sister since I haven't even read it yet! It's, honestly, a tragedy. I need to get on that, haha.

I still haven't read Rich People Problems either but SAME. I want to read it in the summer, I think.

I read all four of Robert Galbraith's novels and the plot is ok (sometimes only passable) but I adore Robin and Strike and their character portrayal and their relationship in general is what keeps me reading and coming back for more.
Also, in book series my reading slump usually happens between book 1 and 2 hence I am still to read the Obelisk Gate, Thunderhead and Wise Man's Fear for example . Book 3 is usually a breeze :D

      Agree, agree.
The Robin/Strike dynamic is a big draw here.
The second book is the weakest of the four.
      And fuck Matthew!
I can't remember when I had such a good positive hate for a character. :P

@@ts_editor Yes! I hate Matthew as much as I love Robin and Strike. I feel like slapping him every time he speaks in a book :D

I may have a couple more series I should look into now. I'm pretty sure I like Hard Sci-Fi and that super thick fantasy series looks interesting. (though harder to get into as I think I would read it over time)

I adored Alice by Christina Henry, one of my favourites. I heard mixed reviews regarding Red Queen so I haven't picked it up yet but I believe a novella collection called Looking Glass is being released this year so I might have to catch up!
(Also I have the first book with the US cover with I prefer so I want the series to match!)

I reread series in anticipation of the last book sometimes and it almost always fails. I read the first 3 stalking Jack the Ripper books in October (1 for the first time) and still haven’t got around to picking up the final book. 🙈

I have a hard time with Robbin Hobb. I loved the first trilogy but the third book did feel like a bit of a let down, and the magic ships bored me to death. I was able to get the first 2 of the ships trilogy on audio book but I have to read the third one and I don't think I can make it. I've paused on all of her books to read some other stuff and see if I can go back and enjoy it.

I read Silkworm in Spring after also a long break and tbh totally hated it. It's just so old style detective type of book where women are treated horribly that I decided I am done with the series for good

I read Sleeping Giants last year and I wanted to picj up the second as soon as possible. But I didn't have it with me at that time and by the time I received the rest of the series I seem to not want to pick them up.
