I grew up in the family and extended family eye--and that can also be an extremely suffocating place. Although I wish I could have grown up in a different time--a more accepting time--I'm glad the times are changing, slowly but surely.
I will be forever grateful they casted Chris Carmack to play this gay character. To be honest I never thought he had it in him; I always saw him as the stereotypical jock.
