@@clairedaniels1877 the tangle wrangler came first tho. The felicia leatherwood brush is a modification of the tangle wrangler cause she literally sold the tangle wrangler and called it a different name before modifying it.
Monique Morris That’s true. I actually did use it too and the handle was too skinny and the teeth broke on me so I went and ordered the FL Brush which is a lot sturdier. No teeth breakage either and handle is nice. I’m actually using the Kazmaleje paddle comb first then following up with the FL Brush to get the shed hairs out. Detangling is faster for me now.
I totally agree with you on the Denman brush. Bought it a few years ago, tried it on a small section of my wet hair to detangle, I immediately put it aside. I love my Felicia Leatherwood brush for detangling and styling.
I tried the large Tangle Teezer and absolutely loved it! It’s much easier to detangle without snagging or pulling. I found that no matter what I did, the smaller brush could never handle the density of my hair. I recommend using the large brush vertically and after finger detangling. Medium sections a bit smaller than the width of the brush worked best. I would love to see what you think of it!
I really love the Felicia. It works for detangling and stying my hair. The Felicia works wonders on my hair in the shower to detangle and for my wash and go. It’s amazing for my hair. I tried the denman when I first went natural and it ripped my hair out.
After watching this video I detangled my hair with my tangle tweezer, the red one with no handle, and it detangles easier than my Felicia leatherwood brush. It had been sitting in my closet and I used it once and forgot about it but I love it. Getting to the roots takes some maneuvering though. I have to try the wet brush and the tangle buster.
Thanks for this video. I've always been a wide tooth comb kinda gal, but I've been contemplating switching to a brush to see which is better for detangling.
I love the Tangle Buster brush for detangling also. But I find myself reaching for something else for to style my hair since it's not multipurpose. I think I will try out the Tangle Teezer brush for styling since I love the original one. Thank you for this video.
@@clairedaniels1877 I've been using the original Tangle Teezer for my styling step for years. Never had a problem. It works great for clumping my curls.
I use the denman on my wigs only. I loved the wet brush but I wished it covered more area....and then I found their paddle brush. I absolutely LOVE it. It detangles thoroughly and gently.
I bought the Felicia Leatherwood and tried it on a section and was like NOPE! I returned it immediately. It was way too stiff. I don't understand the hype. I'd rather use a wet brush.
Awesome review. I never knew the Deman Brush was styling. I stopped using the one I had years ago because it tore my hair out. Thanks for sharing. I use the Qui comb.
I've used the Felicia Leatherwood since you put up your other video but I just purchased the EZ Detangler and feel in love with it. It had a soft yet firm bristle and detangled as well as removed shed hair.
Yes! I definitely want to see a wash n go with the prodigal brush lol! I do use the Tangle Teaser after I have finger detangled. I'm still not sure what is too much manipulation of my hair. Also, I've attempted to use the Tangle Teaser to help define a wash n go, which I still struggle to succeed in, but failed to achieve anything better than my normal result.🤷🏾♀️
I have the Felicia Leatherwood Brush and the Tangle Tweezer with the handle. I felt like the FLW would snag on my daughter's hair. We both love using the TT for her hair. I tried using the FLW for a wng on her hair. It came out frizzy......Would love to see you do a video on using it for a wng. 😊
I have to agree with you on the FLW Brush. It does me no justice trying to detangle. For that reason it just sits in my drawer but I'll have to try it for styling. Now I have get myself the wet brush or the tangle buster for detangling. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the review. I have the large version of the tangle buster and it is great for detangling my hair with conditioner in the shower. I agree that it does not work as well once the hair starts to dry, and I was thinking maybe it was due to the size of it and debating as to whether to get the mini for styling. I think I'll pass on the mini and maybe try a different brush for styling instead. But not the Denman though, even modified we are sworn enemies. 🙅♀️
I’m so glad you did this video because I’m literally contemplating getting another brush and wasn’t sure which brush but watched your detangling brush playlist last week. I have the Felicia leatherwood but agree that yeah it’s real STURDY so I need something a little more flexible to detangle with my cheapie conditioner (that Suave Coconut is the TRUTH) before I apply my deep conditioner and smooth that in with my Felicia leatherwood which I think does a great job of smoothing product into the hair. Also yes please review the bigger tangle teezer! Isaw it at ULTA last week and was wondering if it would work better because it’s bigger. My hair strands are fine so just trying to save as many strands as possible. Thanks for sharing great content!
Yes I feel the same way you do about that denman brush. I just stopped using it 2 years ago because I just felt like it wasn't working for my hair type. I love the Felicia leatherwood tho and never thought to use it for styling. I will be trying that. Now I was thinking about purchasing the Michel Mercier. Can you do a review on that one next year? Thanks for the review!
I tried both the tangle wrangler, evovle flow-tru brush and the tangle buster. I think I'm too tenderheaded for them. It seems like tangle teezer style brushes, I ended up getting this Swissco detangling brush from Target. I also use it vertically.
Which brush should I use for my ponytails? I have fine soft blonde curly hair (dye not bleach) A bristle brush is breaking my whole front area ! And I made sure I picked up the softest one in the store because I noticed the breakage! Recently I noticed it again !!! All short pieces in front . Idk if I should be brushing with water or dry hair ? I do use a spray JBCO leave in
I try not to Manipulate my hair too much by doing wash and gos. And since my hair is fine they only last for 2 days . Then it's frizzy and dry looking . So I put it up but now the brush is making it worse . I can't win 😮💨
@@ALove4Me I use a protein or moisture deep conditioner every wash day . I've done aphogee 2 steps treatment 2 months ago . I just bought olaplex and the curl smith bond 😩
I very seldom use a brush. I have a den man and tangle teaser. I have a paddle brush as well. I use a wide tooth comb and my fingers to detangle. I will use the denman brush to smooth and massage my scalp only on shampoo days. I use a boar bristle brush on my nape undercut daily my scalp loves it.
Have you heard of the wooden comb from Netergold oh my goodness I am a Felica leatherwood fan and thought that was the best and 2nd for me was the handheld tangleTeaser. I finally took the plunge and bought a wooden comb for this online brand. I was so impressed that it didn’t tear my hair out and it detangled so easy please try it out. I’m truly reaching for that now instead of my brushes
I have the Felicia leatherwood brush and absolutely love it on my hair because the bristles get to my roots and gets it thoroughly detangled, I want to try the tangle tamer ultra and see how well it detangles. I know you have the dupe, but the dupe isn’t the same as the Felicia leatherwood one. The evolve brush is a lot more stiffer than the Felecia leatherwood I have both and the evolve one rips my hair but the Felicia leatherwood one is more flexible brush doesn’t rip my hair at all.
A Love 4 Me oops I’m sorry about that you did mention that in the beginning of the video lol 😂, would you say the tangle ultra do a better job then? I like getting my shedded hair out while also detangling, would the ultra do a gentler brush?
I have the evolve brush but its called the tangle wrangler from the equestrian shop i bought it from, its the best and its the only detangling brush I use on my type 4 hair. The tangle teezer gave me alot of split ends. Sorry to burst Felicia leatherwood fans and stans BUT dear felicia knocked off the evolve brush. That evolve style brush has been out for years and you can find reviews on them from as early as 2007 online! Felicia copied the tangle wrangler design and just gave it a wider head and wider handle.
Sorry guys, I called the Tangle Buster the Tangle Wrangler for the entire video.
A Love 4 Me lol. Thanks for this. I have the Tangle Wrangler and it’s a knock off Felicia Leatherwood brush.
Lola its okay
