I love both! I use the Kazmalaje brush first then go in with the denman 38 afterwards. The Kazmalaje brush just doesn’t get all the tangles and shed hair out for me.
I said I wasn’t going to buy anymore detangling brushes. I love the new denman one and my Felicia leatherwood but I’ve been wanting to try the kazmaleje.
I love the Kamalaje, Part of my wash day tools. But I still have issues with tangling at my roots. If a bad wash day, have to bring out the notorious tangle teaser. I don't use it often. but NOTHING removes tangle as my roots like this tool. I have not found a tool yet to replace it (I've tried. lot). Due to mid shaft splits, safe it only for those bad wash days.
I like the Kazmaleje brush on my daughter’s hair, it gets through pretty well and she has very very dense hair. But I do find that it leaves behind quite a bit of shed hair, I tested it with going in with the Felicia leatherwood afterwards. I wonder if the D38 catches more shed hair.
Even though the Kazmalaje has less hair I feel like just like wide tooth combs it’s not very thorough. It’s ok depending on what I’m doing with my hair. I love my Denman for cornrows and blow outs
I love my Kazmaleje brush. It gets me started on detangling my hair. I wish that I had it years ago. I primarily use my fingers to gently detangle but the Kazmaleje is helpful with detangling a little faster.
I have the Kazmaleje brush thanks to you😊. I love how easy it is to rinse/clean. I have the original Denman brush and it takes more effort to keep clean.
I have some updated thoughts. So I highly recommend no matter what tools you use to have fresh trimmed ends or healthy ends with minimal knots and tangles. My damaged and tangled ends really effected how the brush performed. On healthy trimmed ends I felt the Kazmaleje worked better than expected. I have shorter detangling sessions with the Kazmaleje now that my ends are in a better condition. I still think the Denman gets more shed hair out but I would still start with Kazmaleje and then go in with another throrough brush like the Denman.
I have both. I like the Deman for detangling outside the shower( on damp hair) with a leave-in conditioner; I do this when I 'm preparing my hair for a braid-out. The Kazmaleje brush is better for detangling wet hair in the shower for a wash-n-go. I like that it is faster so I don't have to stay in the shower longer, so the styling process takes less time (this excludes the drying process lol).
That purple brush reminds me of an old school brush that Avon used to make... It was a solid hard plastic one piece brush very similar to the purple brush/comb... I've looked for it everywhere, even on ebay... It was my favorite and it was unbreakable lol... I loved that brush... I may have to get this one. Thanks for the demo
Girl the music is on point. Being Nigerian it's hitting all the spots. Love the video I have both brushes and love them for their individual uses. However I'd ask what conditioner did you use because I'm still not at 10 minutes in detangling. It's still taking me 30+ minutes. I do have fine strands and dense low porosity hair
@@ALove4Me do you know of a more natural brand of slip proof conditioner. I'll check out the one you recommended but want to find a natural one for my toddler. Hates detangling sessions and has fine strands like me. I'm ingredient conscious with my child. But will get the suave one for me. Mama gots lots of hair and cheap is good, particularly bc it's a rinse out conditioner
@@PreppyFay12 thanks for the info. I've heard about it but I didn't think it had safe ingredients for whatever reason me being not so knowledgeable about all the hair brands. I'll try to find it at my Marshalls or TJ Maxx.
I've spent literal hours trying to decide which brush I want to buy. I have long detangling sessions, and I want to shorten it somehow. I usually use a wide tooth comb, which has helped speed up time. Whereas before, I was using the tangle teezer paddle brush, which always tangled and ripped at my hair because of the small, tightly packed teeth. I have been thinking I wish someone came out with a comb brush so that I could detangle larger sections thoroughly and the kazmaleje brush is just what I wished for. I was thinking about getting the denman paddle because the teeth are longer and more spread out than the tangle teezer since I always use it to smooth my hair after detangling with my wide tooth comb anyway, but I think the kazmaleje brush will be a better option after your pros and cons analysis. Thanks for showing us your experiment! Now I don't have to. 😂
I agree about the taggle teaser paddle brush. It was fine when I first started using it, but now that my hair is getting long and thicker, I noticed it pulling on my hair. I have to do very small sections to detangle to avoid ripping my hair out.
I have the D38 and my kids do like to play with all my hair stuff, rods, combs, scrunchies etc....but that brush gets tucked away after wash day because it is soooo expensive
I have them both because they we both gifted to me. (Speaking of - I haven't forgotten to send you what I said I would. Just life...) Anyway, back to the tools. I have a whole arsenal now that I pull out every wash day. I have the complete Kamaleje set, the D38, the FL, & the Tangle Teezer. I never use them all in one wash day. My previous style, which type of pre-poo I use, whether I'm in or out of the shower - soaking wet hair vs damp, the amount of slip in my DC, whether I'm blowing my hair out, what style I'm planning to go into, etc all play a role in what I grab. The D38 & the Kazmaleje always come into the shower with me. I mostly use my Tangle Teezer while styling if I'm using Gemini Naturals color gel so I don't have to wash the color from my other tools. At this point, I want to wear a blindfold and not even SEE the next great tool that comes out lol!
I know that I'm late to this video but great video 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏼💯 & these are my favorite 2 brushes The Denman D38 & the kazmaleje paddle comb are amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥 P.S have you used the kazmaleje brush tip to separate your hair? It's pretty cool 😎 not for perfect parts just 2 section hair 👍🏼👍🏼 & the D38 is great for defining, detangling & distributing product along the hair strands
I have both and I like the Denman d38 performance more for my fine kinky strands but the Denman d38 bridles started to get lost in the brush so I don’t think I’d repurchase I’ll continue to use it as long as possible but after it’s over. I’ll have to just make do with my Kazmaleje Kurls Plus Comb and my EZ detangler.
I've heard of this brush a few times. Finger detangling during wash day sessions has been pretty lengthy. It takes so much time to thoroughly detangle. I'm definitely getting this.
Haven't tried either. However, I'm curious about the denmand brush with water getting inside. Is there a way to take off the bristle area to clean & dry it out so mold doesn't build up inside? 🤔
I bought the Denmam and loved it but after using for 5 months the teeth started to fall out! So upset because as stated this is not a cheap brush. Loved it's functionality but quality control is not on point. I just want to point out that I used it for detangling and blow drying which it is clearly states it is designed for 🤷🏾.
I have the Denman brush but the teeth keep going inside the cushion and I had to make a slit in order to get them out. It may have been that particular brush but it cost too much to buy another one.
I have the Kazmalaje and love it for wet detangling on wash day. I have been thinking of getting the Denman for refreshing my blow dried hair mid-week, so brushing dry hair. When you blowout your hair, do you brush it between wash days? If so, what do you use? I find the Kaz doesn't get my hair very smooth and I'm wanting something better.
I don't blow out my hair, but I don't think this brush would be good for that. Denman tools are typically made partially for heat styling, so that may work
I’m going to have to revisit this kazmalaji brush since it’s seamless. I think the Felicia leatherwood is tearing up my ends. Never realized how rough the bristle tips feel on the first version...#blackowned

Same experience. I actually use the Kazmaleje Kurls Plus Comb and then follow up with the Denman d38.
Haven't tried any new brushes since my Kazmaleje brush. It's bae, its life- haven't needed anything else! Worth its weight in gold.
I have the Kazmaleje “brush” and I love it! I’m tender headed and this brush is quick and pain free.
I said I wasn’t going to buy anymore detangling brushes. I love the new denman one and my Felicia leatherwood but I’ve been wanting to try the kazmaleje.
