    Looks good, but no heat gun to heat set it so it doesn't peel when it gets hot out?

    Looks great I want to do this to my Cayenne too. I have Platinum Edition so stupid brushed metal effect on window surrounds, front grille and edge of roof spoiler too

    Great work! It looks excellent. Rear C pillar weather trimming would be too annoying to replace altogether. I would rather do it this way if changing the trim. Black wheels nice?

      Thanks was more work than I thought it was going to be. To replace the trim I think would take twice as much time. I might do something with the wheels in the future. Im getting new tires now.

    I may have missed it, but how did you cut cleanly around the side mirrors? Just reached in with the scalpel? I'm imagining it being the worst part.

      With a scalpel and it sucked in an ideal world remove the mirrors but if you take your time you can do it.

    Nice work. Question about the scalpel you used, did it mark up the paint at all? Or did it only cut the vinyl?

      You have to be very careful not to scratch the paint. I was putting the blade between the trim and the paint or the trim and the rubber seal. It’s very easy to do some damage with the blade. I sped up the footage originally it was really slow going to make sure I didn’t damage anything.

    I want to get this done on my Cayenne, based on the time it took you, and I cant see the material being a huge cost, ballpark, what do you think this should cost to have done? I dont have a shop in my area that I trust yet. Thanks, great video!

      I did watch the video all the way to the end, and understand if you dont know ballpark on costs. wrote this message in the middle of your video

      For material it should be less than 100 range. Labor i have now idea i think a pro could do it in 3 hrs

    Looks really good. So good in fact that I will probably pay someone to do it for me :) This may be a bonehead question but do you have an opinion on the time, effort and cost of Plastidip for this project vs vinyl? Taking into consideration the longevity of each. thanks!

    • @KevinsEuropeanGarage
      @KevinsEuropeanGarage  3 года назад +1

      I have never messed around with plastidip. So I have no first hand experience with it. That would be an interesting comparison. I think it would take less time to do the plastidip but i don’t have any idea about how long it will last.
