I think the allies knew exactly what they were doing. Set the Germans and Russians against each other. Delay a second front while giving the Russians just enough support to keep them fighting and keep getting ground down. Standard British policy set your enemies against each other.

After Czechoslovakia and before the Second World War, Stalin tried to create an alliance to fight Germany, but everything came to an impasse - the Polish government said that in this case Soviet troops would be forced to stay in Poland, and this would threaten the integrity of their country (apparently the Poles thought that Nazi Germany would be afraid of the British and would not dare to attack Poland, lol).

My great granddad died in Belarus in 1943 Fighting the Nazis. There wasn't any pictures taken of him, but there's a single oil painting that portrays him at my grandmas house. Also, they send orders to Italian and Greek partisans (western influence area) to avoid conflict and accept the "new" goverments of the western side. But UK and USA go to war in Korea (eastern influence area).
There were heavy implementations that stalin planned on manipulating the elections in the german unification in favor of the east like he did in russia. And in the end the DDR was 10 times more the puppet of the Sowjets than the BRD was the puppet of the west
This is not how it happened. Germany offered a piece of Poland as a sign "peace", but then Germany decided to change It's mind and attack on the Soviet Union, which in the end was a mistake for Germany
I don’t think they changed their mind. Germany likely always planned to invade the USSR. The non-aggro pact gave Germany time to invade the west before going east. So in the end, the Soviet Union ironically screwed themselves by pursuing a pact with Hitler.
And keep in mind , soviet union was underestimated by western country and the american at any aspect and germany take a fatal decision to announce war against USSR

@@KILLER-bs4nj Ну во первых, СССР вернул свои территории у Польши, утраченные в 20х годах, с бессарабией то же самое, потому что её Румыния после пмв оккупировала, прибалты сами подали заявку на вступление в СССР чтобы спастись от Германии, правда они потом в советской власти разочаровались, война с Финляндией вызвана тем, что Санкт Петербург граничил с Финляндией почти впритык и это было просто опасно, учитывая что Финляндия потом сотрудничала с рейхом, поэтому Финляндии в обмен на территории Выборга предлагали Карелию, чтобы те отвели войска от Питера, те отказались и сказали самим отвести войска вообще за Питер, разумеется это было сделать невозможно и после нескольких финских провокаций началась финская война. For some reason, the Western commentators you mentioned completely forget about what led to the signing of the Soviet-German treaty of 1939. And that before that there was a Munich agreement - when England and France in September 1938 gave Hitler the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia to be torn to pieces. And already in mid-March 1939, Nazi Germany, again without meeting resistance from the Western powers, seized the entire territory of the Czech Republic, creating a puppet state in Slovakia.

They were conquerors and oppressors before, during and ofter the war. They partisioned Poland with the germans and invaded finland for example. The Soviets even had their mutch larger and more deadly genocide. The Soviets were at best as bad as the Nazis, and were probably mutch worse. they were not trying to sve the world

After Czechoslovakia and before the Second World War, Stalin tried to create an alliance to fight Germany, but everything came to an impasse - the Polish government said that in this case Soviet troops would be forced to stay in Poland, and this would threaten the integrity of their country (apparently the Poles thought that Nazi Germany would be afraid of the British and would not dare to attack Poland, lol).

My great granddad died in Belarus in 1943 Fighting the Nazis. There wasn't any pictures taken of him, but there's a single oil painting that portrays him at my grandmas house.
He looks EXACTLY like me (more older of course, since Im 23 and he looks in his late 30s on it) on that painting. It's super bizzare, granted the fact that the painting is practically a century old.

What people don't know is that the Soviet Union literally proposed to Britain and France a plan to form an anti-fascist front against Hitler as a way to protect the sovereignty of Czechoslovakia, but both countries refused and chose instead to appease Hitler by giving him parts of Czechoslovakia
For some reason, the Western commentators you mentioned completely forget about what led to the signing of the Soviet-German treaty of 1939. And that before that there was a Munich agreement - when England and France in September 1938 gave Hitler the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia to be torn to pieces. And already in mid-March 1939, Nazi Germany, again without meeting resistance from the Western powers, seized the entire territory of the Czech Republic, creating a puppet state in Slovakia.
