Hey Jay, welcome to my home city. I'm sure i'm not alone here by saying a lot of us Lincolnites dont exactly have a disposable income, what with CoL forever increasing. Post lockdown, i ordered on a fairly regular basis, but cant stretch to it at all now. Now trying to make the most of each pay day and its becoming increasingly difficult each time.

FUN FACT that train bit u came to at 17:20 that brick road USED TO BE a tarmac road ! but they removed access for cars and then put in the over head walk way and elevator (which u could have used) on the left.

Nice video Jay. I like seeing other towns and how you interact with so many people. I find myself doing the same when delivering. Luckily I have somehow stayed safe by dodging some dangerous interactions. This hot weather and Xmas time seems to change the mood and energy of the city.

Wow you really deserved that tip for going all the way up Lindum Hill, the area around the cathedral is known as the Bail or Bailgate. That big arch you went through to front of the cathedral is known as Clasketgate. They do brilliant ghost tours in that area and you’ll learn loads. Also The Da Vinci Code and Young Victoria were filmed in and around the cathedral
Years ago Worcester was nice and quiet now its full of uni campus buildings ect ect, great for deliveries not much else tho

Great video! Found your channel while looking for Lincoln vlogs missing my old university city. I'm also from Notts and loved every moment living in Lincoln and made amazing friends there. Hope to move back one day, definitely recommend it as a place to live. Used to live right next to the St Marks Tesco you got your meal deal in (would have cost £2.50 back then!)
Great video- Lincoln looks to be a lovely, lovely place. Quick aside: there is a cathedral in EVERY city in the UK. That is what makes a conurbation a city. Smallest city in the UK is St.Asaph in north Wales. In terms of scale it is basically a village but, because there is a cathedral there, it is classed as a city. Whilst writing this I got thinking, what makes a religious building a cathedral?......If anybody knows please tell......
That's false! Many cities (and towns) do not have a cathedral in the UK. Birmingham, Hull, Nottingham, Stoke, Wolverhampton just to name a few....

Alfred Tennyson was one of the great Victorian poets! Born in Lincolnshire, so pretty much a local boy. One of his series of poems is a retelling of Arthurian legends.

Cheers bro! Swansea is a bit far away mate - about 7 hours return trip which costs around £70-80 in fuel. I'll struggle to make that back from the deliveries!

Hey there, me and wife are coming to uk this September and she got admission in uni. Of lincoln. What about the accommodation and job options in lincoln city is it great or we should settle in any other city like Nottingham, Grimsby, Coventry or BIRMINGHAM ??? We know a couple they are settled in Birmingham despite the facts their uni is bathspa. If we go to Birmingham will it be easy for my wife to travel frm Birmingham to lincoln on regular basis??? I mean how expensive is public transport in Birmingham. Please can you help us???

Thank you! It takes about 2.5-3 hours return trip to Banbury so that would cost about £30-35 in fuel. I’ve just checked and there are orders on Deliveroo in that area but not so many so I probably wouldn’t make much or I’ll have to stay there for a while but it’s definitely a video that can be made! I don’t like saying how many to buy because that’s up to you but just bare in mind fuel costs :)

Thanks John. I wasn’t coming to any conclusions about the number of orders that are in Lincoln I was just documenting my experience on that day. Need to bare in mind it was filmed lunch time and not dinner time when it will be busier and more people will be at home and not enjoying the sunshine outside! If I had come in the evening when their is a boost I would have made more money and the title would be different 👍
