    I got the magbak case for my 13pm. On my second case because the edge separated from the back panel. The replacement I got in May is already doing the same thing. I don’t take it out of the case frequently. Maybe twice a month just to wipe it off from dust and whatever the managed to get under the case. Would not recommend.

    I would love a follow up here for iPhone 16 cases. I recently bought the Magbak case for the 16 pro after having the one for 13 pro and loving it for years. Unfortunately it seems like the magnetic strength had dipped as i previously could mount it horizontally at the gym without the camera dipping, while now with the 16 it seems not strong enough to keep it in place. There's a chance this is weight based, but if the magnet cant hold the weight of the phone, it's definitely not as useful. Thanks for the vid and hoping to see more!

      @T3CHUP  4 месяца назад +1

      Interesting…the Dbrand grip case is definitely on my radar! Im still waiting on the 2.0 Dbrand Ghost case to be released by them and see how that one turns out 🤔. The last one has held up well with not yellowing but the scratches/scuffs on it were ridiculous. That needs to be thoroughly improved.

      @@T3CHUP The ghost case need the scratch improvement, but for me the Grip case is one of the best ones, I have the iPhone 13 version and the magnets sucks really bad, but I love the case, the feeling, the protection, the grip, the attention to detail... I was wondering if the new versions would have a huge magnetic improvement or if I should stay away from them 🙂‍↕️

    I’ve used Rokform cases for multiple phones/iterations and it has fantastic magnets, but I can’t say it really protects your phone. The case itself will put wear marks on the phone even if you rarely remove it. I also had the back glass shatter while in this case. Can’t recommend Rokform after this.

    The problem with the Rockform case (have one) is it sticks connecting with standard MagSafe chargers. I’ve have good luck w Anker, but it will not reliably charge with an Apple puck. Pretty common now to have manufacturers claim “MagSafe” when they really aren’t.

    • @1998gst4611

      There's nothing wrong with the Rokform cases. I have the carbon black Rokform case for my iPhone 15 Pro max with no issues, excellent mil spec case. MagSafe charger magnets sticks pretty hard which i don't care much for wireless charging i rather stick to the conventional wireless charger place the phone on the pad and not have to worry about anything sticking on the bottom of the case when you pick the phone up from the charger. Apple should of never came out with the magsafe charger to my opinion.

    Would you trust the Torras 68 mT rating on an iPhone being used with a DJI Gimbal?

    • @T3CHUP
      @T3CHUP  10 месяцев назад

      Good question, I’m pretty sure the Torras case in this review will hold up well with a DJI gimbal. Anything really above 50 mT tends to hold pretty good, but below 50 mT may be a concern. That’s when cases don’t hold up well magnetically in my opinion.

    is flexing on the side a bad thing?

    • @T3CHUP
      @T3CHUP  10 месяцев назад +4

      That really depends on you. To me when a case flexes a lot on its sides I would be concerned with how well it will hold up and stay on my iphone if it drops. Usually a little flex is nothing, I wouldn't be worried about it as a phone case should flex slightly for ease of putting it on and taking it off.

    • @thomas0086
      @thomas0086 10 месяцев назад

      Yes.
      If you can exert the most minimal of pressure and move it, imagine what will happen when it drops from waist height or ear height and those are the first areas to connect…
      I’ve seen shattered phones in practically every MagSafe case, because the back is made so thin to conduct, and people obsessed with thinness have caused manufacturers to cave on significantly reducing lip and bulk which was the actual protection.
      95% of these cases are nothing more than false hope.
      The entire industry needs to do better especially at the prices they are charging.
      Rockform, quad lock, UAG, Supcase, Otterbox, nomad, mous etc etc.
      I’ve seen shattered phones in all of them.
