I grew up on an Ambassador . How i remember i used to go off to sleep on my father's shoulder . The smell inside the the cabin , the humming sound , the gentle swaying , various dashboard lights at night rt onto my face , holding on to the soft pad across the top of it and the stainless steel ashtray in the middle are fond memories
I learnt driving on my Ambassador in 1985,when I was just 9.An army driver tought me to drive. Those were wonderful times. Though, everything was lowtech, people were friendlier and happier, not like today were people just want to beat each other up.
Ambassador.. King of Indian Rod's... 👌 I love ambassador.... No one beat.
I spent most of my formative years in this car. My dad and me .... this vdo is a sight for sore eyes ....
Why don't we make cars of this type any longer .... so tough and solid ... miss those days.

@@siddiqueyd1 look at the condition, no dust, car is clean, battery is charged, it got started in first self, engine bay is clean, coolent is filled in radiator,

I learnt driving this car in 1987 in Calcutta.
0:34 Clearly says Mark 4...... The dashboard, interiors etc are all Mark 4, including the front grill! The engine is too clean to be that of a disused car!

Is Hindustan motor car is going to come to india again ? I'm so eager to buy a new model or old model is also ok for me ... loved to ride again or old model car I forgot it's name but that car shape is just like ( frog ) like in shape,, now if someone does have and wants to sell it pls let me know but should be in good condition n should have original documents, I will be waiting if someone does have it pls message me thank u..
In 2018 Piaggio informs the ambassador launches in 2020 but it's not launched.
And Volkswagen Beetle is looks like frog.

I was driving Ambassador . Though it was uncomfortable while driving with less windows space allround, I was happy about its safety against accidents bcos of its sturdy body n shape.Also it was having large space for Luggage space.I m now waiting to drive the New Ambassador.

It is Mark II or mark IV? Because we had a mark II with hand gear arrangement and sidelights were kind of oval shape and no extension below the front guard.
Its a modified amby with a diesel engine, not original mark2...anyways neatly maintained...
Bhai ye dashboard jo h gaddi ka meter Sare raat me jab long drive pe ye jalte theay na lagta tha apna udan khatola h.
THIS DASH BOARD (UPPER PORTION) IS OF MARK IV. THE BOTTOM PART IS OF MARK II. WE HAD BOTH. ITS NO NICE TO SEE THESE , WHICH WE GREW UP WITH. MY FATHER DROVE HIS 1964 MARK II TILL HIS DEATH IN 1994.

Modern cars don't have the battery charge and oil pressure gauges. The wiper and the headlight parking light switches are behind the steering wheel. The fast idle is automatically done by the ECU.There is no A/C in this?
In modern cars have warning lights. In this car don't have ECS. In my car AC has installed

It is non power steering . LHD means Left Hand Drive.

the dash board seems like mark 4 not Mark 2. The engine cover is like Nova and the front indicators resembles that of Mark 4/Nova

Fake video, its not starting after a long time, and more over its mark 3 and apart from that , its not the right way to hold the heater switch like that, even though u didn’t know how to check the oil stick .
Do some other job man, do better videos that u know how to do? Dont play with old vehicles

What does the Heater switch do when you're pressing it & and what is the function of Fast Idle switch ?
When we engine cold start, and pressing heater switch, heater switch is connected to heater glow plugs, it is present in combustion chamber. Heater glow plugs heated car easily cold starts.

That fast idle switch is the choke I think. This ambassador has a carbuerated engine.
Also we don't get to see the amp and oil pressure gauge on today's modern cars.why?

@@gregw6748 even if that's true I don't think any fuel injected car will have a fast idle switch. The ECU controls everything.

Sharath Nair fast idle is to flow more fuel if any cold start. Old MM540 jeep with Peugeot engine was fitted with fast idle even its application never comes even it is a fuel injector based engine.
Modern cars use digital controls with sensors. Any fault or variations than required value of oil pressure or current results in warning and indications glow in your meter console. Old cars were fully analog controls and gauges were there to show the status. Microprocessor based controls minimise all gauges and made the console compact. That’s all.
@@shajithomas3267 actually that's want the choke does. It enriches the mixture to assist in cold start. And the microprocessor you are talking about it's called an ECU.

Tarmac Traveller old steering wheel ki maintenance kafi zyada karni padti hai Or jo us me horn ring hoti hai wo kuch time use karne ke baad har jagah se horn nahi baj pata hai or steering wheel bhi original hai. Thanks for watch my video
It is mark 3..not mark 2
Long time means how long
No originality. Front grill is Mark 3.City lights are Mark 4. Entire dash board and panel meters including steering wheel are changed.
This is grossly modified. Probably the engine is changed, as the original did not use coolant. There was a dynamo and not alternator. The grill, head lamps and dashboard are not Mark II.
Mark 2?? with a diesel engine ? 🤣 All mark models came with BMC 1.5 litr petrol engines bro
