Being a 9 year old kid, my parents were so awesome they would always let me stay up to watch Arsenio when it came on from 11pm to 12am. I will never forget watching this on TV. What a great time to be a kid!!!!

She could do it all and was always willing to do whatever was asked of her (seriously, they put her in some angles/situations that made her look utterly foolish and took it all like a champ!). I even loved her face run as Harlem Heat's manager; she could be a vamp, goofball, or a badass and was believable in EVERYTHING she did! What a talent! RIP

Because they worked different promotions to learn and understand their craft instead of just working in the WWE where your entire character, promo and entire match are written out for you.
I recall watching a shoot interview with Sherri from the early 2000s (slightly before she passed away). She presented as one of the most kind, generous, and classy performers I've had the pleasure of watching. She put nearly everyone over and told some truly great stories. After literally being at the top of the industry for several decades, listening to how she ended up ODing at her Mom's house just brings me to tears...for me, it adds an additional level of tragedy when so many of wrestlers who've passed well before their time end up dying within miles of where they grew up.
This was such a great ERA of the WWF. Sherri and Elizabeth really brought a true sense of lady-ness to wrestling, it was so wonderful to watch it as a little girl. They were never too much or over the top, but just enough drama and class. I so admired both of them! Then and now.

The Attitude Era gets so much credit and worship, but this right here is the era of wrestling I like most. I love the gimmicks and the kayfabe. It was so fun to suspend belief and play along with it.

The bulk of the people in the crowd knew what was going on. By my teens I heard about Meltzer's Observer and subscribed to it and all I really "learned" was the inside jargon like kayfabe, etc. McMahon admitted to the NJ Athletic Commission that wrestling was a work but on TV they still played it full on kayfabe. By the Attitude era WWF started openly acknowledging stuff with innuendo & the RAW Magazine but slowly they started to drop any pretense outside of the actual shows on TV. Nowadays they barely even try on the shows. The shit since the pandemic has been awful with silly comedy and parody of the business. You CAN keep kayfabe on a program and outside of the ring again. Of course everyone will still now it's a work but the same was true in the 80s & 90s. Treat the business seriously and the fans will too...
It is what it missing in wrestling. Too many people talk too much about the art form and expose all the secrets. Kayfabe is what wrestling is in need off.

ARSENIO needs to be in the WWE HALL OF FAME. He was a huge friend of the WWE for promotions, etc. He played an important role in WWE’s success. Some may disagree or minimize his efforts, but the fact of the matter was a that he exposed the WWE to a larger audience.
